< Psalms 91 >
1 Praise of a Song, by David. He that dwells in the help of the Highest, shall sojourn under the shelter of the God of heaven.
Deɛ ɔte Ɔsorosoroni no hintabea bɛhome wɔ Otumfoɔ no nwunu mu.
2 He shall say to the Lord, You are my helper and my refuge: my God; I will hope in him.
Mɛse Awurade sɛ, “Woyɛ me dwanekɔbea ne mʼabankɛseɛ, me Onyankopɔn a mewɔ wo mu ahotosoɔ.”
3 For he shall deliver you from the snare of the hunters, from [every] troublesome matter.
Ampa ara, ɔbɛgye wo afiri fidisumfoɔ afidie mu ne owuyadeɛ mu.
4 He shall overshadow you with his shoulders, and you shall trust under his wings: his truth shall cover you with a shield.
Ɔde ne ntakra bɛkata wo so; na ne ntaban ase na wobɛnya dwanekɔbea; ne nokorɛ bɛyɛ wo banbɔ ne wo kyɛm.
5 You shall not be afraid of terror by night; nor of the arrow flying by day;
Worensuro anadwo mu ahunahuna, anaa bɛmma a ɛtu awia,
6 [nor] of the [evil] thing that walks in darkness; [nor] of calamity, and the evil spirit at noon-day.
anaa owuyadeɛ a ɛba esum mu, anaa ɔyaredɔm a ɛsɛe owigyinaeɛ.
7 A thousand shall fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it shall not come near you.
Apem bɛtotɔ wo nkyɛn mu, na ɔpedu bɛtotɔ wo nifa, nanso, wo deɛ, ɛrenka wo.
8 Only with your eyes shall you observe and see the reward of sinners.
Wʼani nko ara na wode bɛhwɛ na woahunu nnebɔneyɛfoɔ asotwe.
9 For you, O Lord, are my hope: you, my soul, have made the Most High your refuge.
Sɛ wode Ɔsorosoroni no yɛ wo tenabea, mpo Awurade a ɔyɛ me dwanekɔbea no a,
10 No evils shall come upon you, and no scourge shall draw near to your dwelling.
ɔhaw biara remma wo so, na amanehunu biara remmɛn wo ntomadan.
11 For he shall give his angels charge concerning you, to keep you in all your ways.
Ɛfiri sɛ ɔbɛhyɛ nʼabɔfoɔ a wɔhwɛ wo so no abɛbɔ wo ho ban wʼakwan nyinaa mu;
12 They shall bear you up on their hands, lest at any time you dash your foot against a stone.
wɔde wɔn nsa bɛpagya wo, na wo nan rensunti ɔboɔ.
13 You shall tread on the asp and basilisk: and you shall trample on the lion and dragon.
Wobɛtiatia agyata ne aprammire so, wobɛnante gyataburuwa ne ɔtweaseɛ so.
14 For he has hoped in me, and I will deliver him: I will protect him, because he has known my name.
Awurade ka sɛ, “Esiane sɛ ɔdɔ me enti, mɛgye no; mɛbɔ ne ho ban, ɛfiri sɛ ɔnim me din.
15 He shall call upon me, and I will listen to him: I am with him in affliction; and I will deliver him, and glorify him.
Ɔbɛfrɛ me, na mɛgye ne so; mɛka ne ho wɔ amanehunu mu, mɛgye no, na mahyɛ no animuonyam.
16 I will satisfy him with length of days, and show him my salvation.
Mɛma nkwa nna a ɛware amee no na makyerɛ no me nkwagyeɛ.”
