Psalms 89
1 [A Psalm] of instruction for Aetham the Israelite. I will sing of your mercies, O Lord, for ever: I will declare your truth with my mouth to all generations.
Las misericordias de Jehová cantaré perpetuamente: en generación y generación haré notoria tu verdad con mi boca.
2 For you have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: your truth shall be established in the heavens.
Porque dije: Para siempre será edificada misericordia en los cielos: en ellos afirmarás tu verdad.
3 I made a covenant with my chosen ones, I sware to David my servant.
Hice alianza con mi escogido: juré a David mi siervo;
4 I will establish your seed for ever, and build up your throne to all generations. (Pause)
Para siempre confirmaré tu simiente: y edificaré de generación en generación tu trono. (Selah)
5 The heavens shall declare your wonders, O Lord; and your truth in the assembly of the saints.
Y celebrarán los cielos tu maravilla, o! Jehová: tu verdad también en la congregación de los santos.
6 For who in the heavens shall be compared to the Lord? and who shall be likened to the Lord among the sons of God?
Porque ¿quién en los cielos se igualará con Jehová? ¿ Quién será semejante a Jehová entre los hijos de los dioses?
7 God is glorified in the council of the saints; great and terrible toward all that are round about him.
Dios terrible en la grande congregación de los santos, y formidable sobre todos sus al rededores.
8 O Lord God of hosts, who is like to you? you are mighty, O Lord, and your truth is round about you.
Jehová Dios de los ejércitos, ¿quién como tú, fuerte - Jehová; y tu verdad al rededor de ti?
9 You rule the power of the sea; and you calm the tumult of its waves.
Tú dominas sobre la soberbia de la mar: cuando se levantan sus ondas, tú las haces sosegar.
10 You has brought down the proud as one that is slain; and with the arm of your power you has scattered your enemies.
Tú quebrantaste como muerto a Egipto; con el brazo de tu fortaleza esparciste a tus enemigos.
11 The heavens are your, and the earth is your: you have founded the world, and the fullness of it.
Tuyos los cielos, tuya también la tierra: el mundo y su plenitud tú lo fundaste:
12 You have created the north and the west: Thabor and Hermon shall rejoice in your name.
Al aquilón y al austro tú los creaste: Tabor y Hermón en tu nombre cantarán.
13 Your is the mighty arm: let your hand be strengthened, let your right hand be exalted.
Tuyo es el brazo con la valentía: fuerte es tu mano, ensalzada tu diestra.
14 Justice and judgment are the establishment of your throne: mercy and truth shall go before your face.
Justicia y juicio es la compostura de tu trono: misericordia y verdad van delante de tu rostro.
15 Blessed is the people that knows the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of your countenance.
Bienaventurado el pueblo que sabe cantarte alegremente: Jehová, a la luz de tu rostro andarán:
16 And in your name shall they rejoice all the day: and in your righteousness shall they be exalted.
En tu nombre se alegrarán todo el día: y en tu justicia se ensalzarán:
17 For you are the boast of their strength; and in your good pleasure shall our horn be exalted,
Porque tú eres la gloria de su fortaleza; y por tu buena voluntad ensalzarás nuestro cuerno.
18 for [our] help is of the Lord; and of the Holy One of Israel, our king.
Porque Jehová es nuestro escudo: y nuestro Rey es el Santo de Israel.
19 Then you spoke in vision to your children, and said, I have laid help on a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of my people.
Entonces hablaste en visión a tu misericordioso, y dijiste: Yo he puesto el socorro sobre valiente: ensalcé a un escogido de mi pueblo.
20 I have found David my servant; I have anointed him by [my] holy mercy.
Hallé a David mi siervo: ungíle con el aceite de mi santidad:
21 For my hand shall support him; and mine arm shall strengthen him.
Porque mi mano será firme con él; mi brazo también le fortificará:
22 The enemy shall have no advantage against him; and the son of transgression shall not hurt him again.
No le atribulará enemigo: ni hijo de iniquidad le quebrantará:
23 And I will hew down his foes before him, and put to flight those that hate him.
Mas yo quebrantaré delante de él a sus enemigos: y heriré a sus aborrecedores.
24 But my truth and my mercy shall be with him; and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
Y mi verdad y mi misericordia serán con él; y en mi nombre será ensalzado su cuerno.
25 And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
Y pondré su mano en la mar, y en los ríos su diestra.
26 He shall call upon me, [saying], You are my Father, my God, and the helper of my salvation.
El me llamará: Mi padre eres tú, mi Dios, la roca de mi salud.
27 And I will make him [my] firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
Yo también le pondré por primogénito; alto sobre los reyes de la tierra.
28 I will keep my mercy for him for ever, and my covenant [shall be] firm with him.
Para siempre le conservaré mi misericordia; y mi alianza será firme con él.
29 And I will establish his seed for ever and ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
Y pondré su simiente para siempre; y su trono como los días de los cielos.
30 If his children should forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
Si dejaren sus hijos mi ley; y no anduvieren en mis juicios:
31 if they should profane my ordinances, and not keep my commandments;
Si profanaren mis estatutos; y no guardaren mis mandamientos:
32 I will visit their transgressions with a rod, and their sins with scourges.
Entonces visitaré con vara su rebelión, y con azotes sus iniquidades.
33 But my mercy I will not utterly remove from him, nor wrong my truth.
Mas mi misericordia no la quitaré de él: ni falsearé mi verdad.
34 Neither will I by any means profane my covenant; and I will not make void the things that proceed out of my lips.
No profanaré mi concierto, ni mudaré lo que ha salido de mis labios.
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness, that I will not lie to David.
Una vez juré por mi santuario: No mentiré a David.
36 His see shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me;
Su simiente será para siempre, y su trono como el sol delante de mí.
37 and as the moon [that is] established for ever, and as the faithful witness in heaven. (Pause)
Como la luna será firme para siempre, la cual será testigo fiel en el cielo. (Selah)
38 But you have cast off and set at nothing, you has rejected your anointed.
Y tú desechaste, y menospreciaste a tu ungido, y airástete con él.
39 You have overthrown the covenant of your servant; you has profaned his sanctuary, [casting it] to the ground.
Rompiste el concierto de tu siervo; profanaste a tierra su corona.
40 You have broken down all his hedges; you have made his strong holds a terror.
Aportillaste todos sus vallados; has quebrantado sus fortalezas.
41 All that go by the way have spoiled him: he is become a reproach to his neighbors.
Robáronle todos los que pasaron por el camino: es oprobio a sus vecinos.
42 You have exalted the right hand of his enemies; you have made all his enemies to rejoice.
Ensalzaste la diestra de sus enemigos; alegraste a todos sus adversarios.
43 You have turned back the help of his sword, and have not helped him in the battle.
Embotaste asimismo el filo de su espada; y no le levantaste en la batalla.
44 You have deprived him of glory: you have broken down his throne to the ground.
Hiciste cesar su claridad, y echaste por tierra su trono.
45 You have shortened the days of his throne: you have poured shame upon him. (Pause)
Acortaste los días de su juventud; cubrístele de vergüenza. (Selah)
46 How long, O Lord, will you turn away, for ever? shall your anger flame out as fire?
¿Hasta cuándo, o! Jehová? ¿Esconderte has para siempre? ¿Arderá para siempre tu ira como el fuego?
47 Remember what my being is: for have you created all the sons of men in vain?
Acuérdate cuanto sea mi tiempo: ¿por qué criaste sujetos a vanidad a todos los hijos del hombre?
48 What man is there who shall live, and not see death? shall [any one] deliver his soul from the hand of Hades? (Pause) (Sheol h7585)
¿Qué hombre vivirá, y no verá muerte? ¿escapará su alma del poder del sepulcro? (Selah) (Sheol h7585)
49 Where are your ancient mercies, O Lord, which you sware to David in your truth?
Señor, ¿dónde están tus antiguas misericordias? Jurado has a David por tu verdad.
50 Remember, O Lord, the reproach of your servants, which I have borne in my bosom, [even the reproach] of many nations;
Señor, acuérdate del oprobio de tus siervos, que yo llevo de muchos pueblos en mi seno:
51 wherewith your enemies have reviled, O Lord: wherewith they have reviled the recompense of your anointed.
Porque tus enemigos, o! Jehová, han deshonrado, porque tus enemigos han deshonrado las pisadas de tu ungido.
52 Blessed be the Lord for ever. So be it, so be it.
Bendito Jehová para siempre. Amén y Amén.
