Psalms 89
1 [A Psalm] of instruction for Aetham the Israelite. I will sing of your mercies, O Lord, for ever: I will declare your truth with my mouth to all generations.
Milosti æu Gospodnje pjevati uvijek, od koljena na koljeno javljaæu istinu tvoju ustima svojima.
2 For you have said, Mercy shall be built up for ever: your truth shall be established in the heavens.
Jer znam da je zavavijek osnovana milost, i na nebesima da si utvrdio istinu svoju, rekavši:
3 I made a covenant with my chosen ones, I sware to David my servant.
“Uèinih zavjet s izbranim svojim, zakleh se Davidu, sluzi svojemu:
4 I will establish your seed for ever, and build up your throne to all generations. (Pause)
Dovijeka æu utvrðivati sjeme tvoje i prijesto tvoj ureðivati od koljena do koljena.
5 The heavens shall declare your wonders, O Lord; and your truth in the assembly of the saints.
Nebo kazuje èudesa tvoja, Gospode, i istinu tvoju sabor svetijeh.
6 For who in the heavens shall be compared to the Lord? and who shall be likened to the Lord among the sons of God?
Jer ko je nad oblacima ravan Gospodu? ko æe se izjednaèiti s Gospodom meðu sinovima Božijim?
7 God is glorified in the council of the saints; great and terrible toward all that are round about him.
Bogu se valja klanjati na saboru svetijeh, strašniji je od svijeh koji su oko njega.
8 O Lord God of hosts, who is like to you? you are mighty, O Lord, and your truth is round about you.
Gospode, Bože nad vojskama! ko je silan kao ti, Bože? I istina je tvoja oko tebe.
9 You rule the power of the sea; and you calm the tumult of its waves.
Ti vladaš nad silom morskom; kad podigne vale svoje, ti ih ukroæavaš.
10 You has brought down the proud as one that is slain; and with the arm of your power you has scattered your enemies.
Ti si oborio oholi Misir kao ranjenika, krjepkom mišicom svojom rasijao si neprijatelje svoje.
11 The heavens are your, and the earth is your: you have founded the world, and the fullness of it.
Tvoje je nebo i tvoja je zemlja; ti si sazdao vasiljenu i što je god u njoj.
12 You have created the north and the west: Thabor and Hermon shall rejoice in your name.
Sjever i jug ti si stvorio, Tavor i Ermon o tvom se imenu raduje.
13 Your is the mighty arm: let your hand be strengthened, let your right hand be exalted.
Tvoja je mišica krjepka, silna je ruka tvoja, i visoka desnica tvoja.
14 Justice and judgment are the establishment of your throne: mercy and truth shall go before your face.
Blagost je i pravda podnožje prijestolu tvojemu, milost i istina ide pred licem tvojim.
15 Blessed is the people that knows the joyful sound: they shall walk, O Lord, in the light of your countenance.
Blago narodu koji zna trubnu pokliè! Gospode! u svjetlosti lica tvojega oni hode;
16 And in your name shall they rejoice all the day: and in your righteousness shall they be exalted.
Imenom se tvojim raduju vas dan, i pravdom tvojom uzvišuju se.
17 For you are the boast of their strength; and in your good pleasure shall our horn be exalted,
Jer si ti krasota sile njihove, i po milosti tvojoj uzvišuje se rog naš.
18 for [our] help is of the Lord; and of the Holy One of Israel, our king.
Jer je od Gospoda obrana naša, i od svetoga Izrailjeva car naš.
19 Then you spoke in vision to your children, and said, I have laid help on a mighty one; I have exalted one chosen out of my people.
Tada si govorio u utvari vjernima svojim, i rekao: “poslah pomoæ junaku, uzvisih izbranoga svojega iz naroda.
20 I have found David my servant; I have anointed him by [my] holy mercy.
Naðoh Davida slugu svojega, svetim uljem svojim pomazah ga.
21 For my hand shall support him; and mine arm shall strengthen him.
Ruka æe moja biti jednako s njim, i mišica moja krijepiæe ga.
22 The enemy shall have no advantage against him; and the son of transgression shall not hurt him again.
Neæe ga neprijatelj nadvladati, i sin bezakonja neæe mu dosaditi.
23 And I will hew down his foes before him, and put to flight those that hate him.
Potræu pred licem njegovijem neprijatelje njegove, i nenavidnike njegove poraziæu.
24 But my truth and my mercy shall be with him; and in my name shall his horn be exalted.
Istina je moja i milost moja s njim; i u moje ime uzvisiæe se rog njegov.
25 And I will set his hand in the sea, and his right hand in the rivers.
Pružiæu na more ruku njegovu, i na rijeke desnicu njegovu.
26 He shall call upon me, [saying], You are my Father, my God, and the helper of my salvation.
On æe me zvati: ti si otac moj, Bog moj i grad spasenja mojega.
27 And I will make him [my] firstborn, higher than the kings of the earth.
I ja æu ga uèiniti prvencem, višim od careva zemaljskih.
28 I will keep my mercy for him for ever, and my covenant [shall be] firm with him.
Dovijeka æu mu hraniti milost svoju, i zavjet je moj s njim vjeran.
29 And I will establish his seed for ever and ever, and his throne as the days of heaven.
Produljiæu sjeme njegovo dovijeka, i prijesto njegov kao dane nebeske.
30 If his children should forsake my law, and walk not in my judgments;
Ako sinovi njegovi ostave zakon moj, i ne uzidu u zapovijestima mojim;
31 if they should profane my ordinances, and not keep my commandments;
Ako pogaze uredbe moje, i zapovijesti mojih ne saèuvaju,
32 I will visit their transgressions with a rod, and their sins with scourges.
Onda æu ih pokarati prutom za nepokornost, i ranama za bezakonje njihovo;
33 But my mercy I will not utterly remove from him, nor wrong my truth.
Ali milosti svoje neæu uzeti od njega, niti æu prevrnuti istinom svojom;
34 Neither will I by any means profane my covenant; and I will not make void the things that proceed out of my lips.
Neæu pogaziti zavjeta svojega, i što je izašlo iz usta mojih neæu poreæi.
35 Once have I sworn by my holiness, that I will not lie to David.
Jednom se zakleh svetošæu svojom; zar da slažem Davidu?
36 His see shall endure for ever, and his throne as the sun before me;
Sjeme æe njegovo trajati dovijeka, i prijesto njegov kao sunce preda mnom;
37 and as the moon [that is] established for ever, and as the faithful witness in heaven. (Pause)
On æe stajati uvijek kao mjesec i vjerni svjedok u oblacima.”
38 But you have cast off and set at nothing, you has rejected your anointed.
A sad si odbacio i zanemario, razgnjevio si se na pomazanika svojega;
39 You have overthrown the covenant of your servant; you has profaned his sanctuary, [casting it] to the ground.
Zanemario si zavjet sa slugom svojim, bacio si na zemlju vijenac njegov.
40 You have broken down all his hedges; you have made his strong holds a terror.
Razvalio si sve ograde njegove, gradove njegove obratio si u zidine.
41 All that go by the way have spoiled him: he is become a reproach to his neighbors.
Plijene ga svi koji prolaze onuda, posta potsmijeh u susjeda svojijeh.
42 You have exalted the right hand of his enemies; you have made all his enemies to rejoice.
Uzvisio si desnicu neprijatelja njegovijeh, obradovao si sve protivnike njegove.
43 You have turned back the help of his sword, and have not helped him in the battle.
Zavratio si ostrice maèa njegova, i nijesi ga ukrijepio u boju;
44 You have deprived him of glory: you have broken down his throne to the ground.
Uzeo si mu svjetlost, i prijesto njegov oborio si na zemlju;
45 You have shortened the days of his throne: you have poured shame upon him. (Pause)
Skratio si dane mladosti njegove i obukao ga u sramotu.
46 How long, O Lord, will you turn away, for ever? shall your anger flame out as fire?
Dokle æeš se, Gospode, jednako odvraæati, dokle æe kao oganj plamtjeti gnjev tvoj?
47 Remember what my being is: for have you created all the sons of men in vain?
Opomeni se kakav je vijek moj, kako si ni na što stvorio sve sinove Adamove?
48 What man is there who shall live, and not see death? shall [any one] deliver his soul from the hand of Hades? (Pause) (Sheol h7585)
Koji je èovjek živio i nije smrti vidio, i izbavio dušu svoju iz ruku paklenijeh? (Sheol h7585)
49 Where are your ancient mercies, O Lord, which you sware to David in your truth?
Gdje su preðašnje milosti tvoje, Gospode? Kleo si se Davidu istinom svojom.
50 Remember, O Lord, the reproach of your servants, which I have borne in my bosom, [even the reproach] of many nations;
Opomeni se, Gospode, prijekora sluga svojih, koji nosim u njedrima svojim od svijeh silnijeh naroda,
51 wherewith your enemies have reviled, O Lord: wherewith they have reviled the recompense of your anointed.
Kojim kore neprijatelji tvoji, Gospode, kojim kore trag pomazanika tvojega.
52 Blessed be the Lord for ever. So be it, so be it.
Blagosloven Gospod uvijek! Amin, amin.
