< Psalms 87 >
1 A Psalm of a Song for the sons of Core. His foundations are in the holy mountains.
Ko e Saame pe ko e Hiva ki he ngaahi foha ʻo Kola. Ko hono tuʻunga ʻoku ʻi he ngaahi moʻunga māʻoniʻoni.
2 The Lord loves the gates of Sion, more than all the tabernacles of Jacob.
ʻOku ʻofa lahi hake ʻa Sihova ki he ngaahi matapā ʻo Saione, ʻi he ngaahi nofoʻanga kotoa pē ʻo Sēkope.
3 Glorious things have been spoken of you, O city of God. (Pause)
ʻA e kolo ʻoe ʻOtua, ʻoku talanoa ʻaki ʻae ngaahi meʻa ongoongolelei ʻiate koe. (Sila)
4 I will make mention of Raab and Babylon to them that know me: behold also the Philistines, and Tyre, and the people of the Ethiopians: these were born there.
“Te u fakahā ʻa Lehapi mo Papilone kiate kinautolu ʻoku ʻiloʻi au: vakai, ko Filisitia, mo Taia, mo ʻItiopea; “naʻe fanauʻi ʻi ai ʻae tangata ni.”
5 A man shall say, Sion [is my] mother; and [such] a man was born in her; and the Highest himself has founded her.
Pea ʻe lau pehē ki Saione, “Ko e tangata ni mo e tangata na naʻe fanauʻi ʻi ai”: pea ʻe fakatuʻumaʻu ia ʻe he Fungani Māʻolunga.
6 The Lord shall recount [it] in the writing of the people, and of these princes that were born in her.
ʻE lau ʻe Sihova, ʻi heʻene tohi ʻae kakai, “ko e tangata ni naʻe fanauʻi ʻi ai.” (Sila)
7 The dwelling of all within you is [as the dwelling] of those that rejoice.
ʻE ʻi ai fakatouʻosi ʻae kau hiva mo e kau pulotu ʻoe ngaahi meʻa faiva: “ko ʻeku ngaahi matavai kotoa pē ʻoku ʻiate koe.”
