< Psalms 83 >

1 A Song of a Psalm for Asaph. O God, who shall be compared to you? be not silent, neither be still, O God.
Orin. Saamu ti Asafu. Ọlọ́run, má ṣe dákẹ́; má ṣe dákẹ́, Ọlọ́run má ṣe dúró jẹ́ẹ́.
2 For behold, your enemies have made a noise; and they that hate you have lifted up the head.
Wo bí àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ ti ń rọ́kẹ̀kẹ̀ lọ, bi àwọn ọ̀tá rẹ ti ń gbé ohùn wọn sókè.
3 Against your people they have craftily imagined a device, and have taken counsel against your saints.
Pẹ̀lú àrékérekè ni wọn dìtẹ̀ sí àwọn ènìyàn rẹ; wọn sí dìtẹ̀ mọ́ àwọn tí o fẹ́.
4 They have said, Come, and let us utterly destroy them out of the nation; and let the name of Israel be remembered no more at all.
Wọn wí pé, “wá, ẹ jẹ́ kí á pa wọ́n run bí orílẹ̀-èdè, kí orúkọ Israẹli ma bá a sí ní ìrántí mọ́.”
5 For they have taken counsel together with one consent: they have made a confederacy against you;
Wọ́n gbìmọ̀ pọ̀ pẹ̀lú ọkàn kan; wọ́n ṣe àdéhùn láti ṣọ̀tẹ̀ sí ọ
6 even the tents of the Idumeans, and the Ismaelites; Moab, and the Agarenes;
Àgọ́ Edomu àti ti àwọn ará Iṣmaeli, ti Moabu àti ti Hagari
7 Gebal, and Ammon, and Amalec; the Philistines also, with them that dwell at Tyre.
Gebali, Ammoni àti Amaleki, Filistia, pẹ̀lú àwọn ènìyàn Tire.
8 Yes, Assur too is come with them: they have become a help to the children of Lot. (Pause)
Asiria pẹ̀lú ti darapọ̀ mọ́ wọn láti ran àwọn ọmọ Lọti lọ́wọ́. (Sela)
9 Do you to them as to Madiam, and to Sisera; as to Jabin at the brook of Kison.
Ṣe sí wọn bí ìwọ ti ṣe sí Midiani bí o ti ṣe sí Sisera àti Jabini ní odò Kiṣoni,
10 They were utterly destroyed at Aendor: they became as dung for the earth.
ẹni tí ó ṣègbé ní Endori tí wọn sì dàbí ààtàn ní orí ilẹ̀.
11 Make their princes as Oreb and Zeb, and Zebee and Salmana; [even] all their princes:
Ṣe àwọn ọlọ́lá wọn bí Orebu àti Seebu, àwọn ọmọ-aládé wọn bí Seba àti Salmunna,
12 who said, let us take to ourselves the altar of God as an inheritance.
tí ó wí pé, “Ẹ jẹ́ kí a gbà ní ìní àní pápá oko tútù Ọlọ́run.”
13 O my God, make them as a wheel; as stubble before the face of the wind.
Ìwọ Ọlọ́run, ṣe wọ́n bí ààjà, bí ìyàngbò níwájú afẹ́fẹ́.
14 As fire which shall burn up a wood, as the flame may consume the mountains;
Bí iná ti í jó igbó, àti bí ọ̀wọ́-iná ti ń mú òkè ńlá gbiná,
15 so shall you persecute them with your tempest, and trouble them in your anger.
bẹ́ẹ̀ ni kí o fi ẹ̀fúùfù líle rẹ lépa wọn dẹ́rùbà wọn lójú pẹ̀lú ìjì rẹ.
16 Fill their faces with dishonor; so shall they seek your name, O Lord.
Fi ìtìjú kún ojú wọn, kí àwọn ènìyàn bá à lè ṣe àfẹ́rí orúkọ rẹ àti kí o fi ìjì líle rẹ dẹ́rùbà, ìwọ Olúwa.
17 Let them be ashamed and troubled for evermore; yes, let them be confounded and destroyed.
Jẹ́ kí ojú kí ó tì wọ́n, kí wọ́n sì dààmú láéláé kí wọ́n ṣègbé sínú ẹ̀gàn
18 And let them know that your name is Lord; that you alone are Most High over all the earth.
jẹ́ kí wọn mọ̀ pé ìwọ, tí orúkọ rẹ̀ ń jẹ́ Olúwa: pé ìwọ nìkan ní Ọ̀gá-ògo jùlọ lórí gbogbo ayé.
