Psalms 80
1 For the end, for alternate [strains], a testimony for Asaph, a Psalm concerning the Assyrian. Attend, O Shepherd of Israel, who guide Joseph like a flock; you who sit upon the cherubs, manifest yourself;
Mai marelui muzician ca și „Crinul Mărturiei”, Un psalm al lui Asaf. Deschide urechea Păstorul lui Israel, tu, care conduci pe Iosif ca pe o turmă; tu, care locuiești între heruvimi, strălucește!
2 before Ephraim and Benjamin and Manasse, stir up your power, and come to deliver us.
Stârnește-ți puterea înaintea lui Efraim și Beniamin și Manase și vino, salvează-ne.
3 Turn us, O God, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be delivered.
Întoarce-ne, Dumnezeule, și fă să strălucească fața ta; și vom fi salvați.
4 O Lord God of hosts, how long are you angry with the prayer of your servant?
DOAMNE Dumnezeul oștirilor, până când te vei mânia pe rugăciunea poporului tău?
5 You will feed us with bread of tears; and will cause us to drink tears by measure.
Tu îi hrănești cu pâinea lacrimilor; și din plin le dai lacrimi să bea.
6 You has made us a strife to our neighbors; and our enemies have mocked at us.
Ne faci o ceartă pentru vecinii noștri și dușmanii noștri râd între ei.
7 Turn us, O Lord God of hosts, and cause your face to shine; and we shall be saved. (Pause)
Întoarce-ne din nou, Dumnezeul oștirilor, și fă să strălucească fața ta și vom fi salvați.
8 You have transplanted a vine out of Egypt: you have cast out the heathen, and planted it.
Ai adus o viță din Egipt, ai alungat păgânii și ai sădit-o.
9 You made a way before it, and did cause its roots to strike, and the land was filled [with it].
Ai pregătit un loc înaintea ei și ai făcut-o să prindă rădăcini adânci și a umplut țara.
10 Its shadow covered the mountains, and its shoots [equalled] the goodly cedars.
Dealurile au fost acoperite cu umbra ei și crengile ei erau ca cedrii cei mari.
11 It sent forth its branches to the sea, and its shoots to the river.
Ea și-a trimis crengile până la mare și ramurile ei până la râu.
12 Therefore have you broken down its hedge, while all that pass by the way pluck it?
De ce i-ai dărâmat îngrăditurile, astfel că toți care trec pe cale o smulg?
13 The boar out of the wood has laid it waste, and the wild beast has devoured it.
Mistrețul din pădure o pustiește, și fiara câmpului o mănâncă.
14 O God of hosts, turn, we pray you: look on [us] from heaven, and behold and visit this vine;
Te implorăm Dumnezeul oștirilor, întoarce-te, privește din cer și vezi și cercetează această viță;
15 and restore that which your right hand has planted: and look on the son of man whom you did strengthen for yourself.
Și via pe care dreapta ta a sădit-o și ramura ce ai întărit-o pentru tine,
16 [It is] burnt with fire and dug up: they shall perish at the rebuke of your presence.
Este arsă cu foc, este retezată, ei pier la mustrarea înfățișării tale.
17 Let your hand be upon the man of your right hand, and upon the son of man whom you did strengthen for yourself.
Fie mâna ta peste omul dreptei tale, peste fiul omului pe care l-ai întărit pentru tine.
18 So will we not depart from you: you shall quicken us, and we will call upon your name.
Astfel nu vom da înapoi de la tine; dă-ne viață și vom chema numele tău.
19 Turn us, O Lord God of hosts, and make your face to shine; and we shall be saved.
Întoarce-ne din nou, DOAMNE, Dumnezeul oștirilor, fă să strălucească fața ta; și vom fi salvați.
