< Psalms 77 >

1 For the end, for Idithun, a Psalm of Asaph. I cried to the Lord with my voice, yes, my voice [was addressed] to God; and he gave heed to me.
Dura Buʼaa Faarfattootaatiif. Yeduutuuniif. Faarfannaa Asaaf. Ani gargaarsaaf gara Waaqaatti nan iyyadhe; ani akka Waaqni na dhagaʼuuf nan iyyadhe.
2 In the day of mine affliction I earnestly sought the Lord; [even] with my hands by night before him, and I was not deceived; my soul refused to be comforted.
Yeroo rakkina kootiitti Gooftaa nan barbaaddadhe; halkanis utuu hin dadhabin harka koo nan diriirfadhe; lubbuun koos jajjabaachuu didde.
3 I remembered God, and rejoiced; I poured out my complaint, and my soul fainted. (Pause)
Yaa Waaqi, ani yommuun si yaadadhu nan aada; ani irra deddeebiʼee nan yaade; hafuurri koos ni laafe.
4 All mine enemies set a watch [against me]: I was troubled, and spoke not.
Ati akka iji koo hin dunuunfanne goote; ani akka malee lubbamee dubbachuu iyyuu dadhabe.
5 I considered the days of old, and remembered ancient years.
Ani waaʼee bara durii, waaʼee waggoota durii duriis nan yaade;
6 And I meditated; I communed with my heart by night, and diligently searched my spirit, [saying],
ani halkaniin faarfannaa koo nan yaadadhe. Ani irra deddeebiʼee na yaade; hafuurri koos akkana jedhee qorate:
7 Will the Lord cast off for ever? and will he be well pleased no more?
“Gooftaan bara baraan nama gataa? Inni deebiʼee garaa hin laafuu?
8 Will he cut off his mercy for ever, even for ever and ever?
Araarri isaa bara baraan badee? Waadaan isaa bara baraan guutamuu dhabee?
9 Will God forget to pity? or will he shut up his compassions in his wrath? (Pause)
Waaqni arjoomuu irraanfateeraa? Inni aariidhaan gara laafina isaa dhiiseeraa?”
10 And I said, Now I have begun; this is the change of the right hand of the Most High.
Anis, “Harki mirgaa kan Waaqa Waan Hundaa Olii jijjiirameera jedhee yaaduun koo, dadhabbii koo ti” nan jedhe.
11 I remembered the works of the Lord; for I will remember your wonders from the beginning.
Ani hojii Waaqayyoo nan yaadadha; dhugumaan dinqii kee kan durii nan yaadadhaa.
12 And I will meditate on all your works, and will consider your doings.
Ani waan ati hojjette hunda irra deddeebiʼee nan yaada; waaʼee hojii keetii illee nan dubbadha.
13 O God, your way is in the sanctuary; who is a great God as our God?
Yaa Waaqi, karaan kee qulqulluu dha. Waaqni guddaan akka Waaqa keenyaa eessa jira?
14 You are the God that do wonders; you have made known your power among the nations.
Ati Waaqa hojii dinqii hojjettuu dha; saboota gidduuttis humna kee ni argisiifta.
15 You have with your arm redeemed your people, the sons of Jacob and Joseph. (Pause)
Irree kee cimaadhaan saba kee, sanyii Yaaqoobii fi sanyii Yoosef furteerta.
16 The waters saw you, O God, the waters saw you, and feared; and the depths were troubled.
Yaa Waaqi, bishaanonni si argan; bishaanonni si arganii sodaatan; tuujubawwan ni hollatan.
17 [There was] an abundant sound of waters: the clouds uttered a voice; for your arrows went abroad.
Duumessi bishaan gad dhangalaase; samiiwwan ni qaqawweessaʼan; xiyyi kees qixa hundaan balaqqise.
18 The voice of your thunder was abroad, and around your lightnings appeared to the world; the earth trembled a quaked.
Bakakkaan kee bubbee hamaa keessaa dhagaʼame; balaqqeesi kee addunyaa ibse; laftis hollattee sochoote.
19 Your way is in the sea, and your paths in many waters, and your footsteps can’t be known.
Daandiin kee galaana keessa, karaan kee immoo bishaanota gurguddaa keessa baʼa; garuu faanni kee hin argamne.
20 You did guide your people as sheep by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
Ati harka Museetii fi harka Arooniin, saba kee akka bushaayeetti geggeessite.
