< Psalms 71 >

1 By David, [a Psalm sung by] the sons of Jonadab, and the first that were taken captive. O Lord, I have hoped in you: let me never be put to shame.
MAIN Ieowa, i liki komui, kom der mueid on, i en jarodi kokolata.
2 In your righteousness deliver me and rescue me: incline your ear to me, and save me.
Kom kotin dore ia la pweki omui pun, o kotin jauaja ia, o kotin kapaike don ia karon omui kan o jauaja ia.
3 Be to me a protecting God, and a strong hold to save me: for you are my fortress and my refuge.
Komui en koti wiala ia paipalap, waja i pan kak pitila ia anjau karoj, pwe kom kotin inauki on ia er, me kom pan dore ia la, pwe komui ai paip o ai kel.
4 Deliver me, O my God, from the hand of the sinner, from the hand of the transgressor and unjust man.
Ai Kot, jauaja ia jan nan pa en me doo jan Kot, o jan nan pa en me japun o weit.
5 For you are my support, O Lord; O Lord, [you are] my hope from my youth.
Pwe komui kapore pa i, Main Ieowa, komui ai kel jan ni ai pulepul.
6 On you have I been stayed from the womb: from the belly of my mother you are my protector: of you is my praise continually.
I liki komui jan ni ai ipwidier, o komui me kaipwi ia jan nan kaped en in ai, i pan kapina komui kokolata.
7 I am become as it were a wonder to many: but you are [my] strong helper.
Nai dueta meakot me kapuriamui on me toto; a komui kel pa i manaman.
8 Let my mouth be filled with praise, that I may hymn your glory, [and] your majesty all the day.
Kom kotin kadireki au ai kapin o danke on komui.
9 Cast me not off at the time of old age; forsake me not when my strength fails.
Kom der kotin kaje ia la ni ai mala, o der muei jan ia ni ai pan luetala.
10 For mine enemies have spoken against me; and they that lay wait for my soul have taken counsel together,
Pwe ai imwintiti kin palian ia ni ar lokaia, o me kin majamajan ia, kin kapakapun pena,
11 saying, God has forsaken him: persecute you and take him; for there is none to deliver [him].
O indinda: Kot muei janer i, komail paki o koledi i, pwe jota jauaj pa a.
12 O God, go not far from me, O my God, draw near to my help.
Main Kot, kom der kotin doo wei jan ia, Main Kot! Kom kotin madando o jauaja ia.
13 Let those that plot against my soul be ashamed and utterly fail: let those that seek my hurt be clothed with shame and dishonor.
A me palian ia en namenokala o jarodi; o me rapa kin ia, pwen kame ia la, ren kadupale kidi namenok o lalaue.
14 But I will hope continually, and will praise you more and more.

15 My mouth shall declare your righteousness openly, [and] your salvation all the day; for I am not acquainted with the affairs [of men].
Au ai en kaloki jili omui pun, o omui kamau pan ran karoj, me jota kak wadawad pena.
16 I will go on in the might of the Lord: O Lord, I will make mention of your righteousness only.
I kin weweid jili ni mana en Ieowa Kaun; i pan kapina omui pun eta.
17 O God, you have taught me from my youth, and until now will I declare your wonders;
Main Kot, kom kotin padaki on ia er jan ni ai pulepul, o i kaloki jili omui manaman akan jan maj kokodo lel met.
18 even until I am old and advanced in years. O God, forsake me not; until I shall have declared your arm to all the generation that is to come:
Main Kot, kom der kotin muei jan ia ni ai mala, pit en mon ai lao puetepuetala, lao i pan padaki on jeri en jeri kan omui wiawia o on me pan kokodo omui manaman.
19 even your power and your righteousness, O God, up to the highest [heavens, even] the mighty works which you has done: O God, who is like to you?
Main Kot, omui pun meid ileile, kom kin wiada dodok lapalap. Main Kot, ij me rajon komui?
20 What afflictions many and sore have you showed me! yet you did turn and quicken me, and brought me again from the depths of the earth.
Pwe komui kotiki on kit er kamajak laud o toto, o kom kotin pur on kamau kit ada o wai ia dado jan nan waja lol.
21 You did multiply your righteousness, and did turn and comfort me, and brought me again out of the depths of the earth.
Komui pan kotin kaileile ia da, o kom pan kotin pur on kamait ia la.
22 I will also therefore give thanks to you, O God, [because of] your truth, on an instrument of psalmody: I will sing psalms to you on the harp, O Holy One of Israel.
I ap pan kapinaki komui kajan, pweki omui melel, ai Kot, I pan kauleki on komui arp, on komui, me Jaraui en Ijrael.
23 My lips shall rejoice when I sing to you; and my soul, which you have redeemed.

24 Moreover also my tongue shall dwell all the day upon your righteousness; when they shall be ashamed and confounded that seek my hurt.
