Psalms 7
1 A Psalm of David, which he sang to the Lord because of the words of Chusi the Benjamite. O Lord my God, in you have I trusted: save me from all them that persecute me, and deliver me.
Schiggajon Davids, das er Jehovah sang wegen der Worte des Benjaminiters Kusch. Jehovah, mein Gott, auf Dich verlasse ich mich, hilf mir von allen meinen Verfolgern, und errette mich.
2 Lest at any time [the enemy] seize my soul as a lion, while there is none to ransom, nor to save.
Auf daß er meine Seele nicht zerfleische wie ein Löwe, und zerbreche, daß niemand errette.
3 O Lord my God, if I have done this; (if there is unrighteousness in my hands; )
Jehovah, mein Gott, habe solches ich getan, ist Verkehrtheit in meinen Händen;
4 if I have requited with evil those who requited me [with good]; may I then perish empty by means of my enemies.
Habe Böses ich erwidert dem, der friedlich mit mir war, habe ausgeplündert den, der ohne Grund mich drängte,
5 Let the enemy persecute my soul, an take it; and let him trample my life on the ground, and lay my glory in the dust. (Pause)
So setze der Feind meiner Seele nach und erreiche sie, er stampfe mein Leben zur Erde und lege meine Herrlichkeit in den Staub! (Selah)
6 Arise, O Lord, in your wrath; be exalted in the utmost boundaries of mine enemies: awake, O Lord my God, according to the decree which you did command.
Stehe auf, Jehovah, in Deinem Zorn, erhebe Dich wider das Wüten meiner Dränger, und wache auf für mich, Du hast das Gericht geboten.
7 And the congregation of the nations shall compass you: and for this cause do you return on high.
Und Dich umgebe die Gemeinde der Volksstämme, und über ihr kehre zurück zur Höhe!
8 The Lord shall judge the nations: judge me, O Lord, according to my righteousness, and according to my innocence that is in me.
Jehovah spricht den Völkern Recht. Jehovah richte mich, nach meiner Gerechtigkeit und meiner Rechtschaffenheit über mir.
9 Oh let the wickedness of sinners come to an end; and [then] you shall direct the righteous, O God that search the hearts and reins.
Laß doch der Ungerechten Bosheit zu Ende kommen! Und befestige Du den Gerechten, Der Du die Herzen und die Nieren prüfst, gerechter Gott!
10 My help is righteous, [coming] from God who saves the upright in heart.
Mein Schild ist bei Gott. Er hilft denen, so geraden Herzens sind.
11 God is a righteous judge, and strong, and patient, not inflicting vengeance every day.
Gott ist ein gerechter Richter, aber ein Gott, Der den ganzen Tag Unwillen hegt.
12 If you will not repent, he will furbish his sword; he has bent his bow, and made it ready.
Kehrt er nicht um, so schärft Er Sein Schwert, spannt und richtet Er Seinen Bogen.
13 And on it he has fitted the instruments of death; he has completed his arrows for the raging ones.
Und hat des Todes Geräte Sich bereitet, und macht zu Brandern Seine Pfeile.
14 Behold, he has travailed with unrighteousness, he has conceived trouble, and brought forth iniquity.
Siehe, mit Unrecht hat er Geburtsnot, und ist mit Mühsal schwanger, und Lüge hat er geboren.
15 He has opened a pit, and dug it up, and he shall fall into the ditch which he has made.
Er hat eine Grube gegraben und sie ausgehöhlt, fiel aber selber in den Graben, den er gemacht.
16 His trouble shall return on his own head, and his unrighteousness shall come down on his own crown.
Sein Mühsal kehrt auf sein Haupt zurück, und die Gewalttat kommt herab auf seinen Scheitel.
17 I will give thanks to the Lord according to his righteousness; I will sing to the name of the Lord most high.
Bekennen will ich Jehovah nach Seiner Gerechtigkeit und Psalmen singen dem Namen Jehovahs, des Allerhöchsten.
