Psalms 69
1 For the end, [a Psalm] of David, for alternate [strains]. Save me, O God; for the waters have come in to my soul.
Dem Musikmeister, nach (der Singweise = Melodie) »Lilien«, von David. Hilf mir, o Gott,
2 I am stuck fast in deep mire, and there is no standing: I am come in to the depths of the sea, and a storm has overwhelmed me.
Ich versinke im tiefen Schlamm, wo kein Grund ist; in Wassertiefen bin ich geraten, und die Flut überströmt mich.
3 I am weary [of] crying, my throat has become hoarse; mine eyes have failed by my waiting on my God.
Müde bin ich von (allem) Schreien, meine Kehle ist heiser; erloschen sind mir die Augen, während ich harre auf meinen Gott.
4 They that hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head: my enemies that persecute me unrighteously are strengthened: then I restored that which I took not away.
Größer als die Zahl der Haare auf meinem Haupt ist die Zahl derer, die ohne Ursach’ mich hassen; mächtig sind meine Gegner, die ohne Grund mich befeinden: wo ich gar nicht geraubt, da soll Ersatz ich leisten!
5 O God, you know my foolishness; and my transgressions are not hidden from you.
Du, o Gott, du weißt um meine Torheit, und meine Vergehen sind dir nicht verborgen.
6 Let not them that wait on you, O Lord of hosts, be ashamed on my account: let not them that seek you, be ashamed on my account, O God of Israel.
Laß nicht enttäuscht an mir werden, die auf dich hoffen, o Gott, o HERR der Heerscharen! Laß nicht beschämt an mir werden, die dich, Gott Israels, suchen!
7 For I have suffered reproach for your sake; shame has covered my face.
Denn um deinetwillen trage ich Schmach, (für dich) bedeckt Beschämung mein Antlitz;
8 I became strange to my brethren, and a stranger to my mother's children.
ein Fremdling bin ich meinen Brüdern geworden und unbekannt den Söhnen meiner Mutter.
9 For the zeal of your house has eaten me up; and the reproaches of them that reproached you are fallen upon me.
Denn der Eifer um dein Haus hat mich verzehrt, und die Schmähungen derer, die dich schmähen, haben mich getroffen.
10 And I bowed down my soul with fasting, and that was made my reproach.
Ich weinte und kasteite mich durch Fasten, doch es brachte mir nur Beschimpfung ein;
11 And I put on sackcloth for my covering; and I became a proverb to them.
als ein Trauergewand zu meinem Kleid ich machte, da wurde ich ihnen zum Spottlied;
12 They that sit in the gate talked against me, and they that drank wine sang against me.
es schwatzten von mir die Leute auf dem Markt, und Schmachlieder sangen von mir die Zecher beim Wein.
13 But I [will cry] to you, O Lord, in my prayer; O God, it is a propitious time: in the multitude of your mercy hear me, in the truth of your salvation.
Ich aber richte mein Gebet an dich, o HERR, zur Zeit, da dir es wohlgefällig ist; o Gott, nach deiner großen Gnade erhöre mich, nach deiner heilspendenden Treue!
14 Save me from the mire, that I stick not [in it]: let me be delivered from them that hate me, and from the deep waters.
Zieh mich heraus aus dem Schlamm, daß ich nicht versinke, laß Rettung mich finden von meinen Hassern und aus den Wassertiefen!
15 Let not the waterflood drown me, nor let the deep swallow me up; neither let the well shut its mouth upon me.
Laß die Wasserflut mich nicht überströmen und die Tiefe mich nicht verschlingen und den Abgrund seinen Schlund nicht über mir schließen!
16 Hear me, O Lord; for your mercy is good: according to the multitude of your compassions look upon me.
Erhöre mich, HERR, denn deine Güte ist köstlich! Nach deinem großen Erbarmen wende dich mir zu
17 And turn not away your face from your servant; for I am afflicted: hear me speedily.
und verbirg dein Angesicht nicht vor deinem Knecht, denn ich bin in Not: erhöre mich eiligst!
18 Draw near to my soul and redeem it: deliver me because of mine enemies.
Nahe dich meiner Seele, erlöse sie, um meiner Feinde willen mach mich frei!
19 For you know my reproach, and my shame, and my confusion; all that afflict me are before you.
Du weißt um meine Schmach, um meine Schande und Beschimpfung; meine Feinde sind alle dir wohlbekannt.
20 My soul has waited for reproach and misery; and I waited for one to grieve with me, but there was none; and for one to comfort me, but I found none.
Die Schmach hat mir das Herz gebrochen, so daß ich verzweifle; ich hoffte auf Mitleid, aber vergebens, und auf Tröster, doch ich habe keine gefunden;
21 They gave [me] also gall for my food, and made me drink vinegar for my thirst.
nein, sie haben mir Gift in die Speise getan und Essig mich trinken lassen für meinen Durst.
22 Let their table before them be for a snare, and for a recompense, and for a stumbling block.
Möge ihr Tisch vor ihnen zum Fangnetz werden und ihnen, den Sichren, zum Fallstrick!
23 Let their eyes be darkened that they should not see; and bow down their back continually.
Laß ihre Augen dunkel werden, daß sie nicht sehen, und ihre Hüften laß immerdar wanken!
24 Pour out your wrath upon them, and let the fury of your anger take hold on them.
Gieße über sie deinen Grimm aus, und deines Zornes Glut erreiche sie!
25 Let their habitation be made desolate; and let there be no inhabitant in their tents:
Ihre Behausung müsse zur Öde werden, in ihren Zelten kein Bewohner sein!
26 Because they persecuted him whom you have struck; and they have added to the grief of my wounds.
Denn den du selbst geschlagen hast, verfolgen sie, und vom Weh der durch dich Verwundeten schwatzen sie.
27 Add iniquity to their iniquity; and let them not come into your righteousness.
Füge noch Schuld zu ihrer Verschuldung hinzu und laß sie nicht kommen zur Gerechtigkeit vor dir!
28 Let them be blotted out of the book of the living, and let them not be written with the righteous.
Sie müssen ausgelöscht werden aus dem Buche des Lebens und nicht eingeschrieben werden mit den Gerechten!
29 I am poor and sorrowful; but the salvation of your countenance has helped me.
Doch ich bin elend und schmerzbeladen: deine Hilfe, Gott, möge mich sicherstellen!
30 I will praise the name of my God with a song, I will magnify him with praise;
Ich will den Namen Gottes preisen in Liedern, will hoch ihn rühmen mit Danksagung;
31 and [this] shall please God more than a young calf having horns and hoofs.
das wird dem HERRN willkommner sein als Rinder, als Farren mit Hörnern und gespaltnen Hufen.
32 Let the poor see and rejoice; seek the Lord diligently, and you shall live.
Wenn die Bedrückten es sehen, so werden sie sich freuen: ihr, die ihr Gott sucht: euer Herz lebe auf!
33 For the Lord hears the poor, and does not set at nothing his fettered ones.
Denn der HERR erhört die Armen, und seine Gefangenen läßt er nicht unbeachtet.
34 Let the heavens and the earth raise him, the sea, and all things moving in them.
Es mögen ihn preisen Himmel und Erde, die Meere und alles, was in ihnen sich regt!
35 For God will save Sion, and the cities of Judea shall be built; and [men] shall dwell there, and inherit it.
Denn Gott wird Zion retten und Judas Städte wieder erbaun, daß man daselbst wohne und das Land besitze;
36 And the seed of his servants shall possess it, and they that love his name shall dwell therein.
und der Nachwuchs seiner Knechte wird es erben, und die seinen Namen lieben, werden darin wohnen.
