Psalms 63
1 A Psalm of David, when he was in the wilderness of Idumea. O God, my God, I cry to you early; my soul has thirsted for you: how often has my flesh [longed] after you, in a barren and trackless and dry land!
தாவீதின் சங்கீதம். யூதாவின் வனாந்திரத்திலிருக்கும்போது பாடியது. இறைவனே, நீரே என் இறைவன், நான் ஆர்வத்துடன் உம்மைத் தேடுகிறேன்; தண்ணீரில்லாமல் வறண்டதும், காய்ந்ததுமான நிலத்திலே என் ஆத்துமா உம்மேல் தாகமாக இருக்கிறது, என் உடலோ உமக்காக ஏங்குகிறது.
2 Thus have I appeared before you in the sanctuary, that I might see your power and your glory.
பரிசுத்த இடத்தில் நான் உம்மைக் கண்டேன்; உமது வல்லமையையும் உமது மகிமையையும் கண்டறிந்தேன்.
3 For your mercy is better than life: my lips shall praise you.
உமது உடன்படிக்கையின் அன்பு உயிரைப் பார்க்கிலும் சிறந்தது; ஆகையால் என் உதடுகள் உம்மை மகிமைப்படுத்தும்.
4 Thus will I bless you during my life: I will lift up my hands in your name.
நான் உயிருடன் இருக்கும்வரை உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன்; ஜெபத்தில் உமது பெயரைச் சொல்லி என் கைகளை உயர்த்துவேன்.
5 Let my soul be filled as with marrow and fatness; and [my] joyful lips shall praise your name.
அறுசுவை உணவுகளால் திருப்தியடைவது போல, என் ஆத்துமா திருப்தியடையும்; என் வாய் களிப்புள்ள உதடுகளினால் பாடி, உம்மைத் துதிக்கும்.
6 Forasmuch as I have remembered you on my bed: in the early seasons I have meditated on you.
என் படுக்கையில் நான் உம்மை நினைக்கிறேன்; இராக்காலங்களில் உம்மை தியானம் செய்கிறேன்.
7 For you have been my helper, and in the shelter of your wings will I rejoice.
நீரே என் உதவியாயிருப்பதால், உமது சிறகுகளின் நிழலிலே நான் மகிழ்ச்சியுடன் பாடுவேன்.
8 My soul has kept very close behind you: your right hand has upheld me.
நான் உம்மை விடாமல் பற்றிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறேன்; உமது வலதுகரம் என்னைத் தாங்குகிறது.
9 But they vainly sought after my soul; they shall go into the lowest parts o the earth.
என் உயிரை அழிக்கத் தேடுகிறவர்கள் பூமியின் ஆழங்களில் இறங்குவார்கள்.
10 They shall be delivered up to the power of the sword; they shall be portions for foxes.
அவர்கள் வாளுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்படுவார்கள்; நரிகளுக்கு இரையாவார்கள்.
11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that swears by him shall be praised; for the mouth of them that speak unjust things has been stopped.
ஆனால் அரசன் இறைவனில் மகிழ்வான்; இறைவனுடைய பெயரில் சத்தியம்பண்ணுகிற யாவரும் அவரில் மேன்மைபாராட்டுவார்கள்; பொய்யர்களுடைய வாய்களோ மூடப்படும்.
