Psalms 60
1 For the end, for them that shall yet be changed; for an inscription by David for instruction, when he [had] burned Mesopotamia of Syria, and Syria Sobal, and Joab [had] returned and struck [in] the valley of salt twelve thousand. O God, you have rejected and destroyed us; you have been angry, yet have pitied us.
Боже, расрдио си се на нас, расуо си нас, гневио си се; поврати нас.
2 You have shaken the earth, and troubled it; heal its breaches, for it has been shaken.
Затресао си земљу, и развалио си је; стегни раселине њене, јер се њиха.
3 You have shown your people hard things: you has made us drink the wine of astonishment.
Дао си народу свом да позна љуту невољу, напојио си нас вина од ког се занесосмо.
4 You have given a token to them that fear you, that they might flee from the bow. (Pause)
Подигни заставу за оне који Те се боје, да утеку од лука,
5 That your beloved ones may be delivered; save with your right hand, and hear me.
Да се избаве мили Твоји. Помози десницом својом и услиши ме.
6 God has spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, and divide Sicima, and measure out the valley of tents.
Бог рече у светињи својој: Веселићу се, разделићу Сихем, и долину Сокот размерићу.
7 Galaad is mine, and Manasse is mine; and Ephraim is the strength of my head;
Мој је Галад, мој је Манасија, Јефрем је крепост главе моје, Јуда скиптар мој,
8 Judas is my king; Moab is the caldron of my hope; over Idumea will I stretch out my shoe; the Philistines have been subjected to me.
Моав чаша моја, из које се умивам, на Едома пружићу обућу своју. Певај ми, филистејска земљо!
9 Who will lead me into the fortified city? who will guide me as far a Idumea?
Ко ће ме одвести у тврди град? Ко ће ме отпратити до Едома?
10 Will not you, O God, who have cast us off? and will not you, O God, go forth with our forces?
Зар нећеш Ти, Боже, који си нас одбацио, и не идеш, Боже, с војском нашом?
11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the deliverance of man.
Дај нам помоћ у тескоби. А обрана је човечија узалуд.
12 In God will we do valiantly; and he shall bring to nothing them that harass us.
Богом смо јаки: Он гази непријатеље наше.
