< Psalms 53 >
1 For the end, [a Psalm] of David upon Maeleth, of instruction. The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They have corrupted [themselves], and become abominable in iniquities: there is none that does good.
Dawid dwom. Ɔkwasea ka wɔ ne koma mu se, “Onyankopɔn bi nni hɔ.” Porɔwee adi wɔn, na wɔn akwan yɛ animguase. Obiara nni hɔ a ɔyɛ ade pa.
2 God looked down from heaven upon the sons of men, to see if there were any that understood, or sought after God.
Onyankopɔn fi ɔsoro hwɛ adesamma wɔ fam sɛ obehu wɔn mu bi a wɔwɔ ntease, anaa ebinom a wɔhwehwɛ Onyankopɔn.
3 They have all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that does good, there is not even one.
Nanso nnipa nyinaa atwe wɔn ho afi Onyankopɔn ho; wɔn nyinaa ayɛ bɔne. Obiara nni hɔ a ɔyɛ papa. Ɔbaako mpo nni hɔ.
4 Will none of the workers of iniquity know, who devour my people as they would eat bread? they have not called upon God. There were they greatly afraid, where there was no fear:
Enti abɔnefo rensua nyansa ana? Wɔwe me nkurɔfo sɛnea nnipa di aduan. Wonnsu mfrɛ Onyankopɔn.
5 or God has scattered the bones of the men-pleasers; they were ashamed, for God despised them.
Wɔn na wɔwɔ hɔ a wɔabɔ huboa wɔ faako a ehu nni. Onyankopɔn hwetee wɔn a wɔtow hyɛɛ wo so no nnompe mu; wuguu wɔn anim ase, efisɛ Onyankopɔn buu wɔn animtiaa.
6 Who will bring the salvation of Israel out of Sion? When the Lord turns the captivity of his people, Jacob shall exult, and Israel shall be glad.
Ao, Israel nkwagye mfi Sion mmra! Awurade bɛsan de ne nkurɔfo agyapade ama wɔn. Na Yakob adi ahurusi, na Israel ani agye! Wɔde ma dwonkyerɛfo. Wɔbɔ no sanku so.
