< Psalms 51 >
1 For the end, a Psalm of David, when Nathan the prophet came to him, when he had gone to Bersabee. Have mercy upon me, O God, according to your great mercy; and according to the multitude of your compassions blot out my transgression.
Dawid dwom a ɔtoo no ɛberɛ a ɔde ne ho kaa Batseba na odiyifoɔ Natan kɔɔ ne nkyɛn no. Ao Onyankopɔn hunu me mmɔbɔ, sɛdeɛ wʼadɔeɛ a ɛnsa da no teɛ; wʼahummɔborɔ kɛseɛ no enti, pepa me mmarato.
2 Wash me thoroughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
Hohoro mʼamumuyɛ nyinaa na te me ho firi me bɔne mu!
3 For I am conscious of mine iniquity; and my sin is continually before me.
Na mahunu me mmarato, na mekae me bɔne daa.
4 Against you only have I sinned, and done evil before you: that you might be justified in your sayings, and might overcome when you are judged.
Mayɛ mfomsoɔ atia wo; atia wo nko ara na mayɛ deɛ ɛyɛ bɔne wɔ wʼani so, enti, wodi bem wɔ wo kasa mu na wotene wɔ wʼatemmuo mu.
5 For, behold, I was conceived in iniquities, and in sins did my mother conceive me.
Ampa ara wɔwoo me wɔ bɔne mu, na bɔne mu na me maame nyinsɛnee me.
6 For, behold, you love truth: you have manifested to me the secret and hidden things of your wisdom.
Ampa ara nokorɛ na wohwehwɛ wɔ me mu. Wokyerɛ me nyansa a emu dɔ.
7 You shall sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be purified: you shall wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.
Fa hisope hohoro me ho, na me ho bɛte; dware me, na mɛhoa asene sukyerɛmma.
8 You shall cause me to hear gladness and joy: the afflicted bones shall rejoice.
Ma mente ahosɛpɛ ne anigyeɛ nka; na ma nnompe a woabubuo no nni ahurisie.
9 Turn away your face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
Kata wʼani wɔ me bɔne ho na pepa mʼamumuyɛ nyinaa.
10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit in my inward parts.
Ao Onyankopɔn, bɔ akoma a emu teɛ wɔ me mu, na ma me honhom foforɔ a ɛdi wo nokorɛ.
11 Cast me not away from your presence; and remove not your holy Spirit from me.
Mpamo me mfiri wʼanim na ɛnyi wo Honhom Kronkron mfiri me mu.
12 Restore to me the joy of your salvation: establish me with your directing Spirit.
Fa wo nkwagyeɛ mu anigyeɛ no ma me bio na ma me ɔsetie honhom a ɛbɛkura me.
13 [Then] will I teach transgressors your ways; and ungodly men shall turn to you.
Afei mɛkyerɛ nnebɔneyɛfoɔ wʼakwan, na amumuyɛfoɔ bɛsane aba wo nkyɛn.
14 Deliver me from blood-guiltiness, O God, the God of my salvation: [and] my tongue shall joyfully declare your righteousness.
Ao Onyankopɔn, gye me firi mogya ho afɔdie mu. Onyame a wogye me nkwa, na me tɛkrɛma bɛto wo tenenee ho dwom.
15 O Lord, you shall open my lips; and my mouth shall declare your praise.
Ao Awurade, bue mʼano fafa, na mede mʼano bɛpae mu aka wʼayɛyie.
16 For if you desired sacrifice, I would have given [it]: you will not take pleasure in whole burnt offerings.
Wompɛ afɔrebɔ, anka mɛbɔ; wʼani nnye ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ ho.
17 Sacrifice to God is a broken spirit: a broken and humbled heart God will not despise.
Onyankopɔn afɔdeɛ a ɔpɛ yɛ honhom a abotoɔ. Ao Onyankopɔn, worempo ahonu ne ahobrɛaseɛ akoma.
18 Do good, O Lord, to Sion in your good pleasure; and let the walls of Jerusalem be built.
Ao Onyankopɔn, ma Sion nya nkɔsoɔ wɔ wʼanigyeɛ mu; na to Yerusalem afasuo.
19 Then shall you be pleased with a sacrifice of righteousness, offering, and whole burnt sacrifices: then shall they offer calves upon your altar.
Afei afɔrebɔ a ɛho teɛ bɛba, ɔhyeɛ afɔdeɛ a ɛdi mu a ɛbɛsɔ wʼani; na wɔde anantwinini bɛbɔ afɔdeɛ wʼafɔrebukyia so. Wɔde ma dwomkyerɛfoɔ.
