Psalms 50
1 A Psalm for Asaph. The God of gods, the Lord, has spoken, and called the earth from the rising of the sun to the going down [thereof].
El Dios de los dioses, el Señor, ha enviado su voz, y la tierra está llena de temor; desde la llegada del sol hasta su descenso.
2 Out of Sion [comes] the excellence of his beauty.
Desde Sión, el más bello de los lugares, Dios ha enviado su luz.
3 God, our God, shall come manifestly, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall be kindled before him, and round about him there shall be a very great tempest.
Nuestro Dios vendrá, y no callará; con fuego ardiendo delante de él y vientos de tormenta a su alrededor.
4 He shall summon the heaven above, and the earth, that he may judge his people.
Convocará los cielos y a la tierra para juzgar a su pueblo.
5 Assemble you his saints to him, those that have engaged in a covenant with him upon sacrifices.
Dejen que mis santos se reúnan conmigo; aquellos que han hecho un acuerdo conmigo por medio de ofrendas.
6 And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge. (Pause)
Y los cielos declaran su justicia; porque Dios mismo es el juez. (Selah)
7 Hear, my people, and I will speak to you, O Israel: and I will testify to you: I am God, your God.
Escucha, pueblo mío, a mis palabras; Oh Israel, seré testigo contra ti; Yo soy Dios, tu Dios.
8 I will not reprove you on account of your sacrifices; for your whole burnt offerings are before me continually.
No tomaré una causa contra ti por tus ofrendas, ni por tus ofrendas quemadas, que están siempre ante mí.
9 I will take no bullocks out of your house, nor he-goats out of your flocks.
No tomaré buey de tu casa, ni macho cabríos de tus corrales;
10 For all the wild beasts of the thicket are mine, the cattle on the mountains, and oxen.
Porque toda bestia del bosque es mía, y el ganado en mil colinas.
11 I know all the birds of the sky; and the beauty of the field is mine.
Veo todas las aves de los montes, y las bestias del campo son mías.
12 If I should be hungry, I will not tell you: for the world is mine, and the fullness of it.
Si tuviera necesidad de comida, no te diría a ti; porque la tierra es mía y toda su plenitud.
13 Will I eat the flesh of bulls, or drink the blood of goats?
¿Debo tomar la carne del buey para mi alimento, o la sangre de las cabras para mi bebida?
14 Offer to God the sacrifice of praise; and pay your vows to the Most High.
Haz una ofrenda de alabanza a Dios; mantén los acuerdos que has hecho con el Altísimo;
15 And call upon me in the day of affliction; and I will deliver you, and you shall glorify me. (Pause)
Invócame en el día de la angustia; Seré tu salvador, para que puedas darme gloria.
16 But to the sinner God has said, Why do you declare my ordinances, and take up my covenant in your mouth?
Pero al pecador, Dios le dice: ¿Qué estás haciendo, hablando de mis leyes, o tomando las palabras de mi acuerdo en tu boca?
17 Whereas you have hated instruction, and have cast my words behind [you].
Al ver que no tienes ningún deseo de mi enseñanza, y le das la espalda a mis palabras.
18 If you saw a thief, you ran along with him, and have cast in your lot with adulterers.
Cuando viste a un ladrón, estabas de acuerdo con él, y te uniste con los adúlteros.
19 Your mouth has multiplied wickedness, and your tongue has framed deceit.
Usas tu boca para mal, tu lengua a las palabras del engaño.
20 You did sit and speak against your brother, and did scandalize your mother's son.
Dices mal de tu hermano; haces declaraciones falsas contra el hijo de tu madre.
21 These things you did, and I kept silence: you thought wickedly that I should be like you, [but] I will reprove you, and set [your offenses] before you.
Estas cosas has hecho, y yo no he dicho nada; te pareció que yo era uno como tú; pero te reprenderé cara a cara y voy ajustarte las cuentas.
22 Now consider these things, you that forget God, lest he rend [you], and there is no deliverer.
Ahora ten esto en mente, tú que no tienes memoria de Dios, por temor a que seas aplastado bajo mi mano, sin nadie para darte ayuda:
23 The sacrifice of praise will glorify me: and that is the way wherein I will show to him the salvation of God.
El que hace una ofrenda de alabanza me glorifica; y al que es recto en sus caminos, le mostraré la salvación de Dios.
