Psalms 5
1 For the end, a Psalm of David, concerning her that inherits. Listen to my words, O Lord, attend to my cry.
Načelniku godbe na piščali; psalm Davidov. Besede moje čuj, Gospod; ozri se na premišljevanje moje.
2 Attend to the voice of my supplication, my King, and my God: for to you, O Lord, will I pray.
Poslušaj vpitja mojega glas, kralj moj in Bog moj: ker pri tebi imam molitev.
3 In the morning you shall hear my voice: in the morning will I wait upon you, and will look up.
Gospod, zgodaj bodeš slišal glas moj; zgodaj bodem govoril pred teboj in čakal.
4 For you are not a god that desires iniquity; neither shall the worker of wickedness dwell with you.
Ker ti nisi Bog mogočni, kateri bi se radoval krivice; pred teboj ne bode prebivalo hudo.
5 Neither shall the transgressors continue in your sight: you hate, O Lord, all them that work iniquity.
Blazni ne stopajo ti pred óči; sovražiš vse, kateri delajo krivico.
6 You will destroy all that speak falsehood: the Lord abhors the bloody and deceitful man.
Pogubiti hočeš nje, ki laž govoré; moža krvoželjnega in zvijačnega studi Gospod.
7 But I will enter into your house in the multitude of your mercy: I will worship in your fear toward your holy temple.
Jaz pa vnidem obdan z obilnostjo milosti tvoje v hišo tvojo; priklonim se proti hramu svetosti tvoje v svetem strahu tvojem.
8 Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness because of mine enemies; make my way plain before your face.
Gospod, spremljaj me v pravici svoji zavoljo zalezovalcev mojih; pot svojo ugladi pred menoj.
9 For there is no truth in their mouth; their heart is vain; their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit.
Ker v ustih njihovih ni pravice; notranjost njih: nadloge, grob odprt njih grlo; z jezikom svojim se dobrikajo zvijačno.
10 Judge them, O God; let them fail of their counsels: cast them out according to the abundance of their ungodliness; for they have provoked you, O Lord.
Pokôri jih, o Bog; izpodleté naj v naklepih svojih; pahni jih dol po obilosti njih pregréh, ker upirajo se zoper tebe.
11 But let all that trust on you be glad in you: they shall exult for ever, and you shall dwell among them; and all that love your name shall rejoice in you.
In veselili se bodo vsi, kateri pribegajo k tebi; na veke bodo prepevali, katerim bodeš bramba, in radovali se bodo v tebi ljubitelji tvojega imena.
12 For you, Lord, shall bless the righteous: you have compassed us as with a shield of favor.
Ker ti blagoslavljaš pravičnega, Gospod, delaš, da ga milost krije kakor ščit.
