Psalms 43

1 A Psalm of David. Judge me, O God, and plead my cause, against an ungodly nation: deliver me from the unjust and crafty man.

Psaume de David. Juge-moi, ô mon Dieu; sépare ma cause de celle d'une nation impie; sauve-moi de l'homme inique et trompeur.

2 For you, O God, are my strength: therefore have you cast me off? and why do I go sad of countenance, while the enemy oppresses [me]?

Car, ô mon Dieu, tu es ma force; pourquoi m'as-tu repoussé? et d'où vient que je chemine tout abattu, quand mon ennemi m'opprime?

3 Send forth your light and your truth: they have led me, and brought me to your holy mountain, and to your tabernacles.

Envoie-moi ta lumière et ta vérité; elles m'ont guidé, elles m'ont conduit sur ta montagne sainte et dans tes tabernacles.

4 And I will go in to the altar of God, to God who gladdens my youth: I will give thanks to you on the harp, O God, my God.

Et j'entrerai à l'autel de Dieu, vers le Dieu qui réjouit ma jeunesse. Je te rendrai gloire sur la cithare, ô Dieu, ô mon Dieu!

5 Therefore are you very sad, O my soul? and therefore do you trouble me? Hope in God; for I will give thanks to him, [who is] the health of my countenance, [and] my God.

O mon âme, pourquoi es-tu triste, et pourquoi me troubles-tu? Espère en Dieu; car je lui rendrai grâces, à lui le salut de ma face, à lui mon Dieu.
