< Psalms 40 >
1 For the end, a Psalm of David. I waited patiently for the Lord; and he attended to me, and listened to my supplication.
I AUIAUIER Ieowa, o a kotin iroir don ia o kotin erekier ai likelikwir.
2 And he brought me up out of a pit of misery, and from miry clay: and he set my feet on a rock, and ordered my goings aright.
A kotin api ia da jan nan por jued o jan waja lujujur, o kotin kajonedier na i kat pon paip eu, pwen kak alu mau;
3 And he put a new song into my mouth, [even] a hymn to our God: many shall see [it], and fear, and shall hope in the Lord.
O a kotiki on nan au ai kaul kap pot, pwen kapina atail Kot; i me aramaj toto pan udial ap lan Ieowa o kaporoporeki i.
4 Blessed [is] the man whose hope is in the name of the Lord, and [who] has not regarded vanities and false frenzies.
Meid pai ol o me kaporoporeki Ieowa o jota waroki on me aklapalap akan, de me weweid nin tiak likam!
5 O Lord my God, you have multiplied your wonderful works, and in your thoughts there is none who shall be likened to you: I declared and spoke [of them]: they exceeded number.
Main ai Kot, meid kapuriamui japwilim omui dodok kan o omui madamadaua, me komui kotin kajale on kit. Jota me rajon komui. I men kaparok o kajokajoi duen, a re jota mau on wadok.
6 Sacrifice and offering you would not; but a body have you prepared me: whole burnt offering and [sacrifice] for sin you did not require.
Kom jota kotin kupura mairon man de mairon wan tuka kan; a kom kotin kawajak pajan jalon ai; kom jota kotin mauki mairon ijij de mairon en dip.
7 Then I said, Behold, I come: in the volume of the book it is written concerning me,
Nai ap inda: Kilan, I kokodo; nan puk o me intinidier duen nai.
8 I desired to do your will, O my God, and your law in the midst of mine heart.
I men kapwaiada kupur omui, ai Kot; o japwilim omui kapun o mi nan lol en monion i.
9 I have preached righteousness in the great congregation; behold! I will not refrain my lips; O Lord, you know my righteousness.
I pan padaki on momodijou laud duen me pun. Kilan, i jota pan nenenla, Main kom kotin mani.
10 I have not hid your truth within my heart, and I have declared your salvation; I have not hid your mercy and your truth from the great congregation.
I jota okila omui pun nan monion i. I kin kapakaparok duen omui melel o maur, i jota kin okila omui kalanan o melel mon momodijou laud.
11 But you, Lord, remove not your compassion far from me; your mercy and your truth have helped me continually.
A komui Main der kotiki jan ia omui kalanan, omui kalanan o melel en jinjila ia anjau karoj.
12 For innumerable evils have encompassed me; my transgressions have taken hold of me, and I could not see; they are multiplied more than the hairs of my head; and my heart has failed me.
Pwe ai kalokolok kapil ia pena, o re jota mau on wadok; dip ai katoutou ia, i ap jolar kilan waja; ir me toto jan pit en mon ai, ap jolar anian.
13 Be pleased, O Lord, to deliver me; O Lord, draw near to help me.
Kom kotin kupura ia Main, o kotin dore ia la; Main kom kotin jauaja madan!
14 Let those that seek my soul, to destroy it, be ashamed and confounded together; let those that wish me evil be turned backward and put to shame.
Me kin majamajan ia, pwen kame ia la, en namenokala o lijela; me men wia jued on ia, en purewei o lijela.
15 Let those that say to me, Aha, aha, quickly receive shame for their reward.
Ir me kin likelikwirki due ai: “Io, io!” en majak o lijela.
16 Let all those that seek you, O Lord, exult and rejoice in you; and let them that love your salvation say continually, The Lord be magnified.
Karoj me idok komui, en pereperen o popol. O me pok on omui maur, anjau karoj ren inda: Meid kapinan Ieowa!
17 But I am poor and needy; the Lord will take care of me; you are my helper, and my defender, O my God, delay not.
Pwe nai jamama o luet; a Ieowa kin kotin apwali ia. Komui jauaj pa i o ai jaundor; ai Kot, kom der kotin pwand!
