Psalms 37

1 [A Psalm] of David. Fret not yourself because of evil-doers, neither be envious of them that do iniquity.

۱ مزمور داود به‌سبب شریران خویشتن را مشوش مساز و بر فتنه انگیزان حسد مبر.

2 For they shall soon be withered as the grass, and shall soon fall away as the green herbs.

۲ زیراکه مثل علف به زودی بریده می‌شوند و مثل علف سبز پژمرده خواهند شد.

3 Hope in the Lord, and do good; and dwell on the land, and you shall be fed with the wealth of it.

۳ بر خداوند توکل نما و نیکویی بکن. در زمین ساکن باش و از امانت پرورده شو.

4 Delight [yourself] in the Lord; and he shall grant you the requests of your heart.

۴ و در خداوندتمتع ببر، پس مسالت دل تو را به تو خواهد داد.

5 Disclose your way to the Lord, and hope in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.

۵ طریق خود را به خداوند بسپار و بر وی توکل کن که آن را انجام خواهد داد.

6 And he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noon-day.

۶ و عدالت تو رامثل نور بیرون خواهد آورد و انصاف تو را مانندظهر.

7 Submit yourself to the Lord, and supplicate him: fret not yourself because of him that prospers in his way, at the man that does unlawful deeds.

۷ نزد خداوند ساکت شو و منتظر او باش واز شخص فرخنده طریق و مرد حیله گر خود رامشوش مساز.

8 ease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not yourself so as to do evil.

۸ از غضب برکنار شو و خشم راترک کن. خود را مشوش مساز که البته باعث گناه خواهد شد.

9 For evil-doers shall be destroyed: but they that wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the land.

۹ زیرا که شریران منقطع خواهندشد. و اما منتظران خداوند وارث زمین خواهندبود.

10 And yet a little while, and the sinner shall not be, and you shall seek for his place, and shall not find [it].

۱۰ هان بعد از اندک زمانی شریر نخواهد بود. در مکانش تامل خواهی کرد و نخواهد بود.

11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight [themselves] in the abundance of peace.

۱۱ واما حلیمان وارث زمین خواهند شد و از فراوانی سلامتی متلذذ خواهند گردید.

12 The sinner will watch for the righteous, and gnash his teeth upon him.

۱۲ شریر بر مرد عادل شورا می‌کند و دندانهای خود را بر او می‌افشرد.

13 But the Lord shall laugh at him: for he foresees that his day will come.

۱۳ خداوند بر او خواهدخندید، زیرا می‌بیند که روز او می‌آید.

14 Sinners have drawn their swords, they have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy one, [and] to kill the upright in heart.

۱۴ شریران شمشیر را برهنه کرده و کمان راکشیده‌اند تا مسکین و فقیر را بیندازند وراست روان را مقتول سازند.

15 Let their sword enter into their [own] heart, and their bows be broken.

۱۵ شمشیر ایشان به دل خود ایشان فرو خواهد رفت و کمانهای ایشان شکسته خواهد شد.

16 A little is better to the righteous than abundant wealth of sinners.

۱۶ نعمت اندک یک مردصالح بهتر است، از اندوخته های شریران کثیر.

17 For the arms of sinners shall be broken; but the Lord supports the righteous.

۱۷ زیرا که بازوهای شریران، شکسته خواهد شد. و اما صالحان را خداوند تایید می‌کند.

18 The Lord knows the ways of the perfect; and their inheritance shall be for ever.

۱۸ خداوندروزهای کاملان را می‌داند و میراث ایشان خواهدبود تا ابدالاباد.

19 They shall not be ashamed in an evil time; and in days of famine they shall be satisfied.

۱۹ در زمان بلا خجل نخواهندشد، و در ایام قحط سیر خواهند بود.

20 For the sinners shall perish; and the enemies of the Lord at the moment of their being honored and exalted have utterly vanished like smoke.

۲۰ زیراشریران هلاک می‌شوند و دشمنان خداوند مثل خرمی مرتعها فانی خواهند شد. بلی مثل دخان فانی خواهند گردید.

21 The sinner borrows, and will not pay again: but the righteous has compassion, and gives.

۲۱ شریر قرض می‌گیرد ووفا نمی کند و اما صالح رحیم و بخشنده است.

22 For they that bless him shall inherit the earth; and they that curse him shall be utterly destroyed.

۲۲ زیرا آنانی که از وی برکت یابند وارث زمین گردند. و اما آنانی که ملعون وی‌اند، منقطع خواهند شد.

23 The steps of a man are rightly ordered by the Lord: and he will take pleasure in his way.

۲۳ خداوند قدمهای انسان رامستحکم می‌سازد، و در طریق هایش سرورمی دارد.

24 When he falls, he shall not be ruined: for the Lord supports his hand.

۲۴ اگر‌چه بیفتد افکنده نخواهد شد زیراخداوند دستش را می‌گیرد.

25 I was [once] young, indeed I am now old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread.

۲۵ من جوان بودم والان پیر هستم و مرد صالح را هرگز متروک ندیده‌ام و نه نسلش را که گدای نان بشوند.

26 He is merciful, and lends continually; and his seed shall be blessed.

۲۶ تمامی روز رئوف است و قرض دهنده. وذریت او مبارک خواهند بود.

27 Turn aside from evil, and do good; and dwell for ever.

۲۷ از بدی برکنار شو و نیکویی بکن. پس ساکن خواهی بود تا ابدالاباد.

28 For the Lord loves judgment, and will not forsake his saints; they shall be preserved for ever: the blameless shall be avenged, but the seed of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.

۲۸ زیرا خداوند انصاف را دوست می‌دارد و مقدسان خود را ترک نخواهدفرمود. ایشان محفوظ خواهند بود تا ابدالاباد. واما نسل شریر منقطع خواهد شد.

29 But the righteous shall inherit the earth, and dwell upon it for ever.

۲۹ صالحان وارث زمین خواهند بود و در آن تا به ابد سکونت خواهند نمود.

30 The mouth of the righteous will meditate wisdom, and his tongue will speak of judgment.

۳۰ دهان صالح حکمت را بیان می‌کند و زبان او انصاف را ذکر می‌نماید.

31 The law of his God is in his heart; and his steps shall not slide.

۳۱ شریعت خدای وی در دل اوست. پس قدمهایش نخواهد لغزید.

32 The sinner watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.

۳۲ شریر برای صالح کمین می‌کند و قصد قتل وی می‌دارد.

33 But the Lord will not leave him in his hands, nor by any means condemn him when he is judged.

۳۳ خداونداو را در دستش ترک نخواهد کرد و چون به داوری آید بر وی فتوا نخواهد داد.

34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are destroyed, you shall see [it].

۳۴ منتظرخداوند باش و طریق او را نگاه دار تا تو را به وراثت زمین برافرازد. چون شریران منقطع شوندآن را خواهی دید.

35 I saw the ungodly very highly exalting himself, and lifting himself up like the cedars of Libanus.

۳۵ شریر را دیدم که ظلم پیشه بود و مثل درخت بومی سبز خود را بهر سومی کشید.

36 Yet I passed by, and behold! he was not: and I sought him, but his place was not found.

۳۶ اما گذشت و اینک نیست گردید و اورا جستجو کردم و یافت نشد.

37 Maintain innocence, and behold uprightness: for there is a remnant to the peaceful man.

۳۷ مرد کامل راملاحظه کن و مرد راست را ببین زیرا که عاقبت آن مرد سلامتی است.

38 But the transgressors shall be utterly destroyed together: the remnants of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.

۳۸ اما خطاکاران جمیع هلاک خواهند گردید و عاقبت شریران منقطع خواهد شد

39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord; and he is their defender in the time of affliction.

۳۹ و نجات صالحان از خداوند است و در وقت تنگی او قلعه ایشان خواهد بود.

40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: and he shall rescue them from sinners, and save them, because they have hoped in him.

۴۰ وخداوند ایشان را اعانت کرده، نجات خواهد داد. ایشان را از شریران خلاص کرده، خواهد رهانید. زیرا بر او توکل دارند.
