Psalms 37
1 [A Psalm] of David. Fret not yourself because of evil-doers, neither be envious of them that do iniquity.
೧ದಾವೀದನ ಕೀರ್ತನೆ. ಕೆಟ್ಟ ನಡತೆಯುಳ್ಳವರನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ತಳಮಳಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ; ದುರಾಚಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅಸೂಯೆಪಡಬೇಡ.
2 For they shall soon be withered as the grass, and shall soon fall away as the green herbs.
೨ಅವರು ಹುಲ್ಲಿನಂತೆ ಬೇಗ ಒಣಗಿಹೋಗುವರು; ಹಸಿರು ಸಸಿಯಂತೆ ಬಾಡಿಹೋಗುವರು.
3 Hope in the Lord, and do good; and dwell on the land, and you shall be fed with the wealth of it.
೩ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಟ್ಟು ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನು ಮಾಡು; ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು ನಂಬಿಕೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಸರಿಸು.
4 Delight [yourself] in the Lord; and he shall grant you the requests of your heart.
೪ನೀನು ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಂತೋಷಿಸು; ಆಗ ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟಾರ್ಥಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸುವನು.
5 Disclose your way to the Lord, and hope in him; and he shall bring [it] to pass.
೫ನಿನ್ನ ಭೂಯಾತ್ರೆಯ ಚಿಂತೆಯನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ವಹಿಸಿಬಿಟ್ಟು ಭರವಸದಿಂದಿರು; ಆತನೇ ಅದನ್ನು ಸಾಗಿಸುವನು.
6 And he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your judgment as the noon-day.
೬ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನ ನೀತಿಯನ್ನು ಉದಯದ ಬೆಳಕಿನಂತೆಯೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನದ ತೇಜಸ್ಸಿನಂತೆಯೂ ಪ್ರಕಾಶಗೊಳಿಸುವನು.
7 Submit yourself to the Lord, and supplicate him: fret not yourself because of him that prospers in his way, at the man that does unlawful deeds.
೭ಯೆಹೋವನ ಸನ್ನಿಧಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಂತನಾಗಿ ಆತನಿಗೋಸ್ಕರ ಕಾದಿರು; ಕುಯುಕ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೆರವೇರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡು ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿ ಹೊಂದುವವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಉರಿಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ.
8 ease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not yourself so as to do evil.
೮ಕೋಪವನ್ನು ಅಡಗಿಸಿಕೋ; ರೋಷವನ್ನು ಬಿಡು. ತಳಮಳಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ; ಕೆಡುಕಿಗೆ ಕಾರಣವಾದೀತು.
9 For evil-doers shall be destroyed: but they that wait on the Lord, they shall inherit the land.
೯ಕೆಡುಕರು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವರು; ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವರೇ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು.
10 And yet a little while, and the sinner shall not be, and you shall seek for his place, and shall not find [it].
೧೦ಇನ್ನು ಸ್ವಲ್ಪಕಾಲದೊಳಗೆ ದುಷ್ಟನು ಕಾಣಿಸದೆ ನಿರ್ನಾಮವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವನು; ಅವನಿದ್ದ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಎಷ್ಟು ವಿಚಾರಿಸಿದರೂ ಅವನು ಸಿಕ್ಕುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
11 But the meek shall inherit the earth; and shall delight [themselves] in the abundance of peace.
೧೧ಆದರೆ ದೀನರು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು; ಅವರು ಮಹಾಸೌಖ್ಯದಿಂದ ಆನಂದಿಸುವರು.
12 The sinner will watch for the righteous, and gnash his teeth upon him.
೧೨ದುಷ್ಟನು ನೀತಿವಂತನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಆಲೋಚಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಹಲ್ಲುಕಡಿಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.
13 But the Lord shall laugh at him: for he foresees that his day will come.
೧೩ಆದರೆ ಕರ್ತನು ಅವನಿಗೆ ಶಿಕ್ಷಾಕಾಲ ಬರುತ್ತದೆಂದು ನಗುತ್ತಾನೆ.
14 Sinners have drawn their swords, they have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy one, [and] to kill the upright in heart.
೧೪ದುಷ್ಟರು ದೀನದರಿದ್ರರನ್ನು ಕಡಿದುಬಿಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಕತ್ತಿಯನ್ನು ಹಿರಿದಿದ್ದಾರೆ; ಯಥಾರ್ಥರನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ಹಾಕಬೇಕೆಂದು ಬಿಲ್ಲನ್ನು ಎತ್ತಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
15 Let their sword enter into their [own] heart, and their bows be broken.
೧೫ಆದರೆ ಅವರ ಕತ್ತಿ ಅವರ ಎದೆಯನ್ನೇ ಇರಿದುಬಿಡುವುದು; ಅವರ ಬಿಲ್ಲುಗಳು ಸಿಡಿದು ಮುರಿದುಹೋಗುವವು;
16 A little is better to the righteous than abundant wealth of sinners.
೧೬ದುಷ್ಟರ ಮಹಾಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಗಿಂತಲೂ ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಬಡತನವೇ ಲೇಸು.
17 For the arms of sinners shall be broken; but the Lord supports the righteous.
೧೭ದುಷ್ಟರ ತೋಳುಗಳು ಮುರಿದುಹೋಗುವವು; ನೀತಿವಂತರನ್ನು ಯೆಹೋವನೇ ಉದ್ಧರಿಸುವನು.
18 The Lord knows the ways of the perfect; and their inheritance shall be for ever.
೧೮ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿರ್ದೋಷಿಗಳ ಜೀವಮಾನವನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವರ ಸ್ವತ್ತು ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ನಿಲ್ಲುವುದು.
19 They shall not be ashamed in an evil time; and in days of famine they shall be satisfied.
೧೯ಅವರಿಗೆ ವಿಪತ್ಕಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಪಮಾನವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಬರಗಾಲದಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅವರಿಗೆ ಕೊರತೆಯಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
20 For the sinners shall perish; and the enemies of the Lord at the moment of their being honored and exalted have utterly vanished like smoke.
೨೦ದುಷ್ಟರೋ ನಾಶವಾಗಿ ಹೋಗುವರು; ಯೆಹೋವನ ವೈರಿಗಳು ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲುಗಳ ಸೊಗಸಿನಂತಿದ್ದು ಮಾಯವಾಗುವರು. ಅವರು ಹಬೆಯಂತೆ ತೋರಿ ಅಡಗಿಹೋಗುವರು.
21 The sinner borrows, and will not pay again: but the righteous has compassion, and gives.
೨೧ದುಷ್ಟನು ಸಾಲಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡು ತೀರಿಸಲಾರದೆ ಹೋಗುವನು; ನೀತಿವಂತನು ಪರೋಪಕಾರಿಯಾಗಿ ಧರ್ಮಕೊಡುವನು.
22 For they that bless him shall inherit the earth; and they that curse him shall be utterly destroyed.
೨೨ಯೆಹೋವನ ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದವು ಯಾರಿಗಿರುವುದೋ ಅವರು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವರು; ಆತನ ಶಾಪವು ಯಾರಿಗಿರುವುದೋ ಅವರು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವರು.
23 The steps of a man are rightly ordered by the Lord: and he will take pleasure in his way.
೨೩ಸತ್ಪುರುಷನ ಗತಿಸ್ಥಾಪನೆಯು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದಲೇ ಆಗಿದೆ, ಆತನು ಅವನ ಪ್ರವರ್ತನೆಯನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುತ್ತಾನೆ.
24 When he falls, he shall not be ruined: for the Lord supports his hand.
೨೪ಅವನು ಕೆಳಗೆ ಬಿದ್ದರೂ ಏಳದೆ ಹೋಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಕೈಹಿಡಿದು ಉದ್ಧಾರ ಮಾಡುವನು.
25 I was [once] young, indeed I am now old; yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread.
೨೫ನಾನು ಬಾಲಕನಾಗಿದ್ದೆನು, ಈಗ ವೃದ್ಧನಾಗಿದ್ದೇನೆ; ಈ ವರೆಗೂ ನೀತಿವಂತನು ದಿಕ್ಕಿಲ್ಲದೆ ಬಿದ್ದಿರುವುದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ, ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು ಭಿಕ್ಷೆಬೇಡಿ ತಿನ್ನುವುದನ್ನಾಗಲಿ ನೋಡಲಿಲ್ಲ.
26 He is merciful, and lends continually; and his seed shall be blessed.
೨೬ಅವನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ಧರ್ಮಿಷ್ಠನಾಗಿ ಹಣ ಸಹಾಯವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನೆ; ಅವನ ಸಂತತಿಯವರು ಆಶೀರ್ವಾದ ಹೊಂದುವರು.
27 Turn aside from evil, and do good; and dwell for ever.
೨೭ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗದೆ ಒಳ್ಳೆಯದನ್ನೇ ಮಾಡು; ಆಗ ನೀನು ಯಾವಾಗಲೂ ದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿರುವಿ.
28 For the Lord loves judgment, and will not forsake his saints; they shall be preserved for ever: the blameless shall be avenged, but the seed of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.
೨೮ಯೆಹೋವನು ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನು ಮೆಚ್ಚುವವನು; ತನ್ನ ಭಕ್ತರನ್ನು ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಕೈಬಿಡುವವನಲ್ಲ. ಅವರು ಸದಾಕಾಲವೂ ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತರಾಗಿರುವರು. ದುಷ್ಟರ ಸಂತತಿ ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.
29 But the righteous shall inherit the earth, and dwell upon it for ever.
೨೯ನೀತಿವಂತರೋ ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವವರಾಗಿ, ಅದರಲ್ಲಿ ಶಾಶ್ವತವಾಗಿ ವಾಸಿಸುವರು.
30 The mouth of the righteous will meditate wisdom, and his tongue will speak of judgment.
೩೦ನೀತಿವಂತನ ಬಾಯಿಯು ಸುಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ನುಡಿಯುತ್ತದೆ, ಅವನ ನಾಲಿಗೆ ನ್ಯಾಯವನ್ನೇ ಹೇಳುತ್ತದೆ.
31 The law of his God is in his heart; and his steps shall not slide.
೩೧ದೇವರ ಧರ್ಮೋಪದೇಶವು ಅವನ ಹೃದಯದಲ್ಲಿರುವುದು; ಅವನು ಜಾರುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
32 The sinner watches the righteous, and seeks to kill him.
೩೨ದುಷ್ಟನು ಹೊಂಚುಹಾಕಿ ನೀತಿವಂತನನ್ನು ಕೊಲ್ಲಬೇಕೆಂದು ಸಮಯನೋಡುತ್ತಾನೆ.
33 But the Lord will not leave him in his hands, nor by any means condemn him when he is judged.
೩೩ಆದರೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವರ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕಗೊಡಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ; ಅವನನ್ನು ನ್ಯಾಯವಿಚಾರಣೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಪರಾಧಿಯೆಂದು ಎಣಿಸುವುದಿಲ್ಲ.
34 Wait on the Lord, and keep his way, and he shall exalt you to inherit the land: when the wicked are destroyed, you shall see [it].
೩೪ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ನಿರೀಕ್ಷಿಸುವವನಾಗಿ ಆತನ ಮಾರ್ಗವನ್ನೇ ಅನುಸರಿಸು; ಆಗ ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಮುಂದಕ್ಕೆ ತಂದು ದೇಶವನ್ನು ಅನುಭವಿಸುವಂತೆ ಮಾಡುವನು; ದುಷ್ಟರು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವುದನ್ನು ನೀನು ನೋಡುವಿ.
35 I saw the ungodly very highly exalting himself, and lifting himself up like the cedars of Libanus.
೩೫ದುಷ್ಟನು ಭೀಕರನಾಗಿ ಸ್ವಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಹಸಿರಾಗಿ ಬೆಳೆದ ಮರದಂತೆ ವಿಸ್ತರಿಸಿಕೊಂಡಿರುವುದನ್ನು ನೋಡಿದ್ದೆನು.
36 Yet I passed by, and behold! he was not: and I sought him, but his place was not found.
೩೬ತರುವಾಯ ನಾನು ಆ ದಾರಿಯಲ್ಲಿ ಹೋಗಿ ನೋಡಲಾಗಿ, ಅವನು ಇಲ್ಲದೆ ಹೋಗಿದ್ದನು, ಅವನನ್ನು ಹುಡುಕಿದರೂ ಸಿಕ್ಕಲಿಲ್ಲ.
37 Maintain innocence, and behold uprightness: for there is a remnant to the peaceful man.
೩೭ಒಳ್ಳೇ ನಡತೆಯುಳ್ಳವನನ್ನು ನೋಡು, ಯಥಾರ್ಥನನ್ನು ಲಕ್ಷಿಸು; ಶಾಂತನಿಗೆ ಸಂತಾನವೃದ್ಧಿ ಆಗುವುದು.
38 But the transgressors shall be utterly destroyed together: the remnants of the ungodly shall be utterly destroyed.
೩೮ದ್ರೋಹಿಗಳೆಲ್ಲರೂ ನಾಶವಾಗುವರು; ದುಷ್ಟರ ಸಂತಾನವು ತೆಗೆದುಹಾಕಲ್ಪಡುವುದು.
39 But the salvation of the righteous is of the Lord; and he is their defender in the time of affliction.
೩೯ನೀತಿವಂತರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದಲೇ; ಇಕ್ಕಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನೇ ಅವರಿಗೆ ದುರ್ಗಸ್ಥಾನ.
40 And the Lord shall help them, and deliver them: and he shall rescue them from sinners, and save them, because they have hoped in him.
೪೦ಯೆಹೋವನು ಸಹಾಯಕನಾಗಿ ಅವರನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ಬಿಡುವನು; ಅವರು ಆತನ ಆಶ್ರಿತರಾದುದರಿಂದ, ಆತನು ಅವರನ್ನು ದುಷ್ಟರ ಕೈಯಿಂದ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿ ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವನು.
