< Psalms 34 >

1 [A Psalm] of David, when he changed his countenance before Abimelech; and he let him go, and he departed. I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall be continually in my mouth.
Keiman Pakai chu phattin in thang vah'in kate. Pakai thagvah nahi kakam sunga gingdoh jingding ahi.
2 My soul shall boast herself in the Lord: let the meek hear, and rejoice.
Keima Pakaiya bou kithang at jing ding kahin; Panpi beite jouse lunglut cheh uhen.
3 Magnify you the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.
Hungun Pakai loupi nahi seiphong khom u hitin amin hi choi-an khom u hite.
4 I sought the Lord diligently, and he listened to me, and delivered me from all my sojournings.
Keima Pakai kom a kataovin aman kataona eisanpeh tai. Aman kakichatna jousea jong eilhat doh tai.
5 Draw near to him, and be enlightened: and your faces shall not [by any means] be ashamed.
Ama panpi ding ngaicha jouse vah bangin hungvah doh untin, amai uva jachatna muthim jinglouhelding ahi.
6 This poor man cried, and the Lord listened to him, and delivered him out of all his afflictions.
Kahahsat behseh phat in kataovin Pakai in eingai peh e; aman kaboina jouse eisuh lhap peh tai.
7 The angel of the Lord will encamp round about them that fear him, and will deliver them.
Pakai vantil chu hoidamna ahin; ama ging te aman aumkimvel in ahuhdoh jinge.
8 Taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man who hopes in him.
Pakai phatje chu patepmun lang veovin, Pakaija kisel jing mite chu iti kipa hitaovem!
9 Fear the Lord, all you his saints: for there is no lack to them that fear him.
Nangho Pathen mite ho Pakai chu ging jingun ajeh chu ama ging jingten angai chat jouse amudiu ahi.
10 The rich have become poor and hungry: but they that seek the Lord diligently shall not lack any good thing. (Pause)
Keipi bahkai gol hat laitah jong agilkel jin, ahin Pakai tahsandet jing hovang thilpha alhasam ngaipouve.
11 Come, you children, hear me: I will teach you the fear of the Lord.
Kachate ho hunguvin kaseihi kingai phaovin, chuleh keiman Pathen ginje kahilding nahiu ve.
12 What man is there that desires life, loving to see good days?
Hinkho sottah leh phatthei na lhingset a hingnom umkha em?
13 Keep your tongue from evil, and your lips from speaking guile.
Thuse seinan nalei tuhtangin lang chuleh nakam jong jouseinan mang hih in!
14 Turn away from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.
Thilse a kon in kihai mangin lang thilpha bol in, chamna hol in lang hichu chepin.
15 The eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears [are open] to their prayer:
Pakai mitin thilpha boljingho avesui jingin; panpi ngai a koute din akol tenin jong akihong jing e.
16 but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil, to destroy their memorial from the earth. The righteous cried, and the Lord listened to them,
Hinla thilse bolte chu dou mitnin aven, aman amin u leiset aathaimang ding ahi.
17 and delivered them out of all their afflictions.
Pakai in panpi ngaichaho kouna angaipeh in. Aboi naova kon in ahuhdoh jin ahi.
18 The Lord is near to them that are of a contrite heart; and will save the lowly in spirit.
Lungthim kisuchipte kom a Pakai chu anai in; Alhagao kisu gimte ahuhdoh jin ahi.
19 Many are the afflictions of the righteous: but out of them all Lord will deliver them.
Michonpha hon boina tampi atohjiuvin, hinla Pakai in phattin in ahung huhdoh jin ahi.
20 He keeps all their bones: not one of them shall be broken.
Ajeh chu Pakai in michonpha ho gule chang ahoibit pehjin; khatchajong abohsah pon ahi!
21 The death of sinners is evil: and they that hate righteousness will go wrong.
Hamsetnan migiloute hinkho alah teiding, michonpha ho hotbol tejong got na chang teidiu ahi.
22 The Lord will redeem the souls of his servants: and none of those that hope in him shall go wrong.
