< Psalms 33 >
1 [A Psalm] of David. Rejoice in the Lord, you righteous; praise becomes the upright.
Momfa ahurusi nto dwom mma Awurade, mo atreneefo, ɛfata sɛ wɔn a wɔteɛ no yi no ayɛ.
2 Praise the Lord on the harp; platy to him on a lute of ten strings.
Momfa sanku nkamfo Awurade; monto dwom mma no wɔ sankuten so.
3 Sing to him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise.
Monto dwom foforo mma no. Momfa nimdeɛ mmɔ sanku no na monteɛ mu ahurusi so!
4 For the word of the Lord is right; and all his works are faithful.
Awurade asɛm teɛ na ɛyɛ nokware odi nokware wɔ nea ɔyɛ nyinaa mu.
5 He loves mercy and judgment; the earth is full the mercy of the Lord.
Awurade dɔ treneeyɛ ne atɛntrenee. Nʼadɔe a ɛnsa da no ahyɛ asase so ma.
6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were established; and all the host of them by the breath of his [mouth].
Awurade asɛm so na wɔnam yɛɛ ɔsorosoro, nʼanom home so na wɔnam yɛɛ ɔsoro asafo.
7 Who gathers the waters of the sea as [in] a bottle; who lays up the deeps in treasuries.
Ɔka po nsu boa ano kuw; na ɔde bun sie nea hɔ dɔ.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord; and let all that dwell in the world be moved because of him.
Momma asase sofo nyinaa nsuro Awurade; na wiasefo nyinaa mfa nidi mma no.
9 For he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.
Ɔno na ɔkasa ma ɛbaa mu na ɔhyɛ ma egyinaa pintinn.
10 The Lord frustrates the counsels of the nations; he brings to nothing also the reasonings of the peoples, and brings to nothing the counsels of princes.
Awurade sɛe amanaman no nhyehyɛe; ɔma adesamma nsusuwii yɛ ɔkwa.
11 But the counsel of the Lord endures for ever, the thoughts of his heart from generation to generation.
Nanso Awurade nhyehyɛe tim hɔ daa, ne koma mu botae wɔ hɔ ma awo ntoatoaso.
12 Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord; the people whom he has chosen for his own inheritance.
Nhyira ne ɔman a ne Nyankopɔn ne Awurade, nnipa a oyii wɔn sɛ nʼagyapade no.
13 The Lord looks out of heaven; he beholds all the sons of men.
Awurade hwɛ adesamma nyinaa fi ɔsoro.
14 He looks from his prepared habitation on all the dwellers on the earth;
Ofi nʼatenae hwɛ wɔn a wɔte asase so nyinaa.
15 who fashioned their hearts alone; who understands all their works.
Ɔno ne nea ɔbɔɔ wɔn nyinaa koma, na osusuw nea wɔyɛ nyinaa ho.
16 A king is not saved by reason of a great host; and a giant shall not be delivered by the greatness of his strength.
Ɛnyɛ ɔhene asraafo dɔm kɛse na ebegye no; ɔkofo biara nni hɔ a ofi nʼahoɔden mu guan.
17 A horse is vain for safety; neither shall he be delivered by the greatness of his power.
Ɔpɔnkɔ mu ahotoso yɛ ɔkwa wɔ nkwagye mu; nʼahoɔden nyinaa akyi no, ɔrentumi nnye nkwa.
18 Behold, the eyes of the Lord are on them that fear him, those that hope in his mercy;
Nanso Awurade ani wɔ wɔn a wosuro no no so, wɔn a wɔwɔ anidaso wɔ ne dɔ a ɛnsa da no mu,
19 to deliver their souls from death, and to keep them alive in famine.
sɛ obegye wɔn afi owu mu na wama wɔatena nkwa mu wɔ ɔkɔm bere mu.
20 Our soul waits on the Lord; for he is our helper and defender.
Yɛde anidaso twɛn Awurade; ɔyɛ yɛn boafo ne yɛn nkatabo.
21 For our heart shall rejoice in him, and we have hoped in his holy name.
Ne mu na yɛn koma di ahurusi, efisɛ yɛde yɛn ho to ne din kronkron no so.
22 Let your mercy, O Lord, be upon us, according as we have hoped in you.
Ma wʼadɔe a ɛnsa da no ntena yɛn so, Awurade, sɛnea anidaso a yɛwɔ wɔ mu no te.
