Psalms 32
1 [A Psalm] of instruction by David. Blessed [are they] whose transgressions are forgiven, and who sins are covered.
Por David. Um salmo contemplativo. Abençoado é aquele cuja desobediência é perdoada, cujo pecado está coberto.
2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin, and whose mouth there is no guile.
Abençoado é o homem a quem Javé não imputa iniqüidade, em cujo espírito não há engano.
3 Because I kept silence, my bones waxed old, from my crying all the day.
Quando eu mantive o silêncio, meus ossos desperdiçaram meus gemidos durante todo o dia.
4 For day and night your hand was heavy upon me: I became thoroughly miserable while a thorn was fastened in [me]. (Pause)
Para o dia e para a noite sua mão era pesada para mim. Minhas forças foram esvaziadas no calor do verão. (Selah)
5 I acknowledged my sin, and hid not mine iniquity: I said, I will confess mine iniquity to the Lord against myself; and you forgave the ungodliness of my heart. (Pause)
Eu reconheci meu pecado a você. Eu não escondi minha iniqüidade. Eu disse que confessarei minhas transgressões a Javé, e você perdoou a iniqüidade do meu pecado. (Selah)
6 Therefore shall every holy one pray to you in a fit time: only in the deluge of many waters they shall not come near to him.
Para isso, deixe que todos que são piedosos rezem para você em um momento em que você possa ser encontrado. Certamente, quando as grandes águas transbordarem, elas não chegarão até ele.
7 You are my refuge from the affliction that encompasses me; my joy, to deliver me from them that have compassed me. (Pause)
Você é meu esconderijo. Você me preservará de problemas. Você vai me rodear de canções de entrega. (Selah)
8 I will instruct you and guide you in this way wherein you shall go: I will fix mine eyes upon you.
Eu o instruirei e lhe ensinarei o caminho que você deve seguir. Eu o aconselharei com meu olho em você.
9 Be you not as horse and mule, which have no understanding; [but you must] constrain their jaws with bit and curb, lest they should come near to you.
Não seja como o cavalo, ou como a mula, que não tem nenhum entendimento, que são controlados por bit e bridle, caso contrário, não se aproximarão de você.
10 Many are the scourges of the sinner: but him that hopes in the Lord mercy shall compass about.
Muitas tristezas chegam aos ímpios, mas bondade amorosa cercará aquele que confia em Yahweh.
11 Be glad in the Lord, and exult, you righteous: and glory, all you that are upright in heart.
Alegre-se em Yahweh, e regozije-se, seu justo! Gritai de alegria, todos vocês que estão de coração erguido!
