< Psalms 3 >

1 A Psalm of David, when he fled from the presence of his son Abessalom. O Lord, why are they that afflict me multiplied? many rise up against me.
Saamu ti Dafidi. Nígbà ti ó sá fún ọmọ rẹ̀ Absalomu. Olúwa, báwo ni àwọn ọ̀tá mi ṣe pọ̀ tó báyìí! Báwo ni àwọn ti ó dìde sí mi ṣe pọ̀ tó!
2 Many say concerning my soul, There is no deliverance for him in his God. (Pause)
Ọ̀pọ̀lọpọ̀ ni ó ń sọ ní ti tèmi, pé “Ọlọ́run kò nígbà á là.” (Sela)
3 But you, O Lord, are my helper: my glory, and the one that lifts up my head.
Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ ni asà yí mi ká, Olúwa; ìwọ fi ògo fún mi, ìwọ sì gbé orí mi sókè.
4 I cried to the Lord with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy mountain. (Pause)
Olúwa ni mo kígbe sókè sí, ó sì dá mi lóhùn láti orí òkè mímọ́ rẹ̀ wá. (Sela)
5 I lay down and slept; I awaked; for the Lord will help me.
Èmi dùbúlẹ̀, mo sì sùn; mo sì tún padà jí, nítorí Olúwa ni ó ń gbé mi ró.
6 I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, who beset me round about.
Èmi kì yóò bẹ̀rù ẹgbẹẹgbẹ̀rún ènìyàn tí wọ́n rọ̀gbà yí mi ká.
7 Arise, Lord; deliver me, my God: for you have struck all who were without cause mine enemies; you have broken the teeth of sinners.
Dìde, Olúwa! Gbà mí, Ọlọ́run mi! Lu gbogbo àwọn ọ̀tá mi ní àgbọ̀n; kí o sì ká eyín àwọn ènìyàn búburú.
8 Deliverance is the Lord's, and your blessing is upon your people.
Láti ọ̀dọ̀ Olúwa ni ìgbàlà ti wá. Kí ìbùkún rẹ wà lórí àwọn ènìyàn rẹ. (Sela)
