Psalms 29
1 A Psalm of David [on the occasion] of the solemn assembly of the Tabernacle. Bring to the Lord, you sons of God, bring to the Lord young rams; bring to the Lord glory and honor.
Ein Psalm Davids. Gebt dem HERRN, ihr Gottessöhne, gebt dem HERRN Ehre und Macht!
2 Bring to the Lord glory, [due] to his name; worship the lord in his holy court.
Gebt dem HERRN seines Namens Ehre, betet den HERRN an in heiligem Schmuck!
3 The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory has thundered: the Lord is upon many waters.
Die Stimme des HERRN schallt über den Wassern, der Gott der Ehren donnert, der HERR über großen Wassern.
4 The voice of the Lord is mighty; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.
Die Stimme des HERRN ist stark, die Stimme des HERRN ist herrlich.
5 [There is] the voice of the Lord who breaks the cedars; the Lord will break the cedars of Libanus.
Die Stimme des HERRN zerbricht die Zedern, der HERR zerbricht die Zedern des Libanon
6 And he will beat them small, [even] Libanus itself, like a calf; and the beloved one is as a young unicorn.
und macht sie hüpfen wie ein Kälbchen, den Libanon und den Sirjon wie einen jungen Büffel.
7 [There is] a voice of the Lord who divides a flame of fire.
Die Stimme des HERRN sprüht Feuerflammen,
8 A voice of the Lord who shakes the wilderness; the Lord will shake the wilderness of Cades.
die Stimme des HERRN erschüttert die Wüste, der HERR erschüttert die Wüste Kadesch.
9 The voice of the Lord strengthens the hinds, and will uncover the thickets: and in his temple every one speaks [of his] glory.
Die Stimme des HERRN macht Hindinnen gebären und entblättert Wälder, und in seinem Tempel ruft ihm jedermann Ehre zu.
10 The Lord will dwell on the waterflood: and the Lord will sit a king for ever.
Der HERR regierte zur Zeit der Sündflut, und der HERR herrscht als König in Ewigkeit.
11 The Lord will give strength to his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.
Der HERR wird seinem Volke Kraft verleihen, der HERR wird sein Volk segnen mit Frieden!
