< Psalms 16 >
1 A writing of David. Keep me, O Lord; for I have hoped in you.
Miktam lok hoi sak koi David ih Saam laa. Aw Sithaw, na pakaa ah, nang khaeah ni ka buep.
2 I said to the Lord, You are my Lord; for you has no need of my goodness.
Aw ka hinghaih, nang mah Angraeng khaeah, Nang loe ka Angraeng ni; nang ai ah loe ka hoihhaih tetta doeh ka tawn ai, tiah na naa.
3 On behalf of the saints that are in his land, he has magnified all his pleasure in them.
Toe long ah kaom kaciim kaminawk hoi lensawkhaih hoiah koi kaminawk to ka palung.
4 Their weaknesses have been multiplied; afterward they hasted. I will by no means assemble their bloody meetings, neither will I make mention of their names with my lips.
Kalah sithaw khaeah caawn kaminawk loe palungsethaih pung aep tih: naek han a paek o ih athii hoiah angbawnhaih ka sah mak ai; pahni hoiah nihcae ih ahminnawk bokhaih lok to ka thui mak ai.
5 The Lord is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: you are he that restores my inheritance to me.
Angraeng loe ka toep han koi kai ih qawk hoi boengloeng ah oh: ka toep han koi taham doeh nang pahoe pae boeh.
6 The lines have fallen to me in the best places, yes, I have a most excellent heritage.
Kahoih koek ahmuen ah nang suek; ue, kahoih qawk to ka toep boeh.
7 I will bless the Lord who has instructed me; my reins too have chastened me even till night.
Ka poekhaih paekkung, Angraeng to ka pakoeh han: aqum ah doeh ka plungthin mah na lok hoiah ang thuitaek.
8 I foresaw the Lord always before my face; for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved.
Angraeng to ka hmaa ah ka suek toepsoep: anih loe ka bantang bangah oh pongah, kang thui mak ai.
9 Therefore my heart rejoiced an my tongue exulted; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope:
To pongah ka palungthin loe anghoe moe, ka lensawkhaih doeh anghoe: ka taksa doeh oephaih hoiah om tih.
10 because you will not leave my soul in hell, neither will you suffer your Holy One to see corruption. (Sheol )
Ka muithla hae hell thungah na caeh taak mak ai; Ciimcai nangmah ih kami doeh na qongsak mak ai. (Sheol )
11 You have made known to me the ways of life; you will fill me with joy with your countenance: at your right hand [there are] delights for ever.
Kai hanah hinghaih loklam to na patuek tih: kacung anghoehaih loe na hmaa ah oh, na bantang bangah loe dungzan anghoehaih to oh.
