Psalms 148
1 Alleluia, [a Psalm] of Aggaeus and Zacharias. Praise you the Lord from the heavens: praise him in the highest.
Aleluja! Hvalite Gospoda, nebeščani, hvalite ga v višavah.
2 Praise you him, all his angels: praise you him, all his hosts.
Hvalite ga vsi angeli njegovi, hvalite ga vse vojske njegove.
3 Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you stars and light.
Hvalita ga solnce in mesec; hvalite ga vse svetle zvezde.
4 Praise him, you heavens of heavens, and the water that is above the heavens.
Hvalite ga nebes nebésa, in vode, katere so nad tem nebom.
5 Let them praise the name of the Lord: for he spoke, and they were made; he commanded, and they were created.
Hvali naj ime Gospodovo, kar je na povelje njegovo ustvarjeno bilo takoj.
6 He has established them for ever, even for ever and ever: he has made an ordinance, and it shall not pass away.
Kar je ustanovil vekomaj, na veke; dal je zapoved, katere naj nobeno ne prestopi.
7 Praise the Lord from the earth, you serpents, and all deeps.
Hvalite Gospoda, zemeljske stvari; zmaji in brezna vsa.
8 Fire, hail, snow, ice, stormy wind; the things that perform his word.
Ogenj in toča, sneg in sopara, veter viharni spolnjujoč besedo njegovo.
9 Mountains, and all hills; fruitful trees, and all cedars:
Same gore in hribi, drevesa rodovitna, cedre vse;
10 wild beasts, and all cattle; reptiles, and winged birds:
Same zveri in živina vsa, laznina in tiči krilati.
11 kings of the earth, and all peoples; princes, and all judges of the earth:
Kralji zemeljski in narodi vsi; knezi in vsi zemljé sodniki.
12 young men and virgins, old men with youths:
Mladeniči in tudi device, starci z dečki
13 let them praise the name of the Lord: for his name only is exalted; his praise is above the earth and heaven,
Hvalijo naj ime Gospodovo, ker vzvišeno je njega samega ime; lepota njegova nad zemljo in nebo.
14 and he shall exalt the horn of his people, [there is] a hymn for all his saints, [even] of the children of Israel, a people who draw near to him.
In rog povišuje svojemu ljudstvu, hvalo vseh, katere sprejema prijazno, Izraelcev, ljudstva bližnjega njemu. Aleluja!
