Psalms 145
1 David's [Psalm of] praise. I will exalt you, my God, my king; and I will bless your name for ever and ever.
Ein Loblied, von David. Ich will dich erheben, mein Gott und König, und deinen Namen loben immer und ewiglich!
2 Every day will I bless you, and I will praise your name for ever and ever.
Täglich will ich dich preisen und deinen Namen rühmen immer und ewiglich!
3 The Lord is great, and greatly to be praised; and there is no end to his greatness.
Groß ist der HERR und hoch zu loben, und seine Größe ist unerforschlich.
4 Generation after generation shall praise your works, and tell of your power.
Ein Geschlecht rühme dem andern deine Werke und tue deine mächtigen Taten kund!
5 And they shall speak of the glorious majesty of your holiness, and recount your wonders.
Vom herrlichen Glanz deiner Majestät sollen sie berichten, und deine Wunder will ich verkünden.
6 And they shall speak of the power of your terrible [acts]; and recount your greatness.
Von deiner erstaunlichen Gewalt soll man reden, und deine großen Taten will ich erzählen.
7 They shall utter the memory of the abundance of your goodness, and shall exult in your righteousness.
Das Lob deiner großen Güte lasse man reichlich fließen, und deine Gerechtigkeit soll man rühmen!
8 The Lord is compassionate, and merciful; long suffering, and abundant in mercy.
Gnädig und barmherzig ist der HERR, geduldig und von großer Güte!
9 The Lord is good to those that wait [on him]; and his compassions are over all his works.
Der HERR ist gegen alle gütig, und seine Barmherzigkeit erstreckt sich über alle seine Werke.
10 Let all your works, O Lord, give thanks to you; and let your saints bless you.
Alle deine Werke sollen dir danken, o HERR, und deine Frommen dich loben.
11 They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom, and talk of your dominion;
Von der Herrlichkeit deines Königreichs sollen sie reden und von deiner Gewalt sprechen,
12 to make known to the sons of men your power, and the glorious majesty of your kingdom.
daß sie den Menschenkindern seine Gewalt kundmachen und die prachtvolle Herrlichkeit seines Königreiches.
13 Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion [endures] through all generations. The Lord is faithful in his words, and holy in all his works.
Dein Reich ist ein Reich für alle Ewigkeiten, und deine Herrschaft erstreckt sich auf alle Geschlechter.
14 The Lord supports all that are falling, and sets up all that are broken down.
Der HERR stützt alle, die da fallen, und richtet alle Gebeugten auf.
15 The eyes of all wait upon you; and you give [them] their food in due season.
Aller Augen warten auf dich, und du gibst ihnen ihre Speise zu seiner Zeit;
16 You open your hands, and fill every living thing with pleasure.
du tust deine Hand auf und sättigst alles, was da lebt, mit Wohlgefallen.
17 The Lord is righteous in all his ways, and holy in all his works.
Der HERR ist gerecht in allen seinen Wegen und gnädig in allen seinen Werken.
18 The Lord is near to all that call upon him, to all that call upon him in truth.
Der HERR ist nahe allen, die ihn anrufen, allen, die ihn in Wahrheit anrufen;
19 He will perform the desire of them that fear him: and he will hear their supplication, and save them.
er tut, was die Gottesfürchtigen begehren, und hört ihr Schreien und hilft ihnen.
20 The Lord preserves all that love him: but all sinners he will utterly destroy.
Der HERR behütet alle, die ihn lieben, und wird alle Gottlosen vertilgen!
21 My mouth shall speak the praise of the Lord: and let all flesh bless his holy name for ever and ever.
Mein Mund soll des HERRN Ruhm verkündigen; und alles Fleisch lobe seinen heiligen Namen immer und ewiglich!
