< Psalms 144 >

1 [A Psalm] of David concerning Goliad. Blessed [be] the Lord my God, who instructs my hands for battle, [and] my fingers for war.
Pakai chu thangvah’un amachu kasongpi ahi. Aman kakhut teni hi galsatje dan eihil in, chule kakhut jung hohi galsatna’a manchahje dan eihil ahi.
2 My mercy, and my refuge; my helper, and my deliverer; my protector, in whom I have trusted; who subdues my people under me.
Amahi eipanpi phapen leh kakulpi ahin, kahoidohna pal leh eihuhdohpa ahi. Chitin namtin anoijah akunsahji ahi.
3 Lord, what is man, that you are made known to him? or the son of man, that you take account of him?
O Pakai, mihem hi ipi hiya hibanga nagel-lut’a, mihem chapa jeng jong ipi hiya hibanga nakhohsah hitam?
4 Man is like to vanity: his days pass as a shadow.
Ajeh chu mihem hi hai khatseh’a hing ahibouvin, ahin-nikho jong nisa-le tobanga mangpai thei ahibouve.
5 O Lord, bow your heavens, and come down: touch the mountains, and they shall smoke.
Pakai vanho hinhong in hung kum lhan, molsang hohi tham’in lang meikhun len mangsah in.
6 Send lightning, and you shall scatter them: send forth your arrows, and you shall discomfit them.
Kehchang len-dohsah inlang galmite thejalsah in! Nathalchang kap inlang jamsah soh hel in.
7 Send forth your hand from on high; rescue me, and deliver me out of great waters, out of the hand of strange children;
Vanna kon’in nakhut hin lhang in, twithuh lah’a konleh kagalmite thaneina’a kon in nei huhdoh in.
8 whose mouth has spoken vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of iniquity.
Akam’un jou jeng aseijun, thudih kaseije atiuvin akihahsel un, hinlah jou jeng aseijun ahi.
9 O God, I will sing a new song to you: I will play to you on a lute of ten strings.
O Pathen, na henga lathah khat sange; selangdah jangsom kibut chu mangchan na vahchoila sange.
10 [Even] to him who gives salvation to kings: who redeems his servant David from the hurtful sword.
Ajeh chu nangman lengho galjona napen! Nalhacha David jong athi nading chemjam’a kon in nahuhdoh jin ahi.
11 Deliver me, and rescue me from the hand of strange children, whose mouth has spoken vanity, and their right hand is a right hand of iniquity;
Neihuhdoh’in! Kagalmite thaneina’a kon’in neihuhdoh’in, akam un jou jeng aseijun; thutah kaseiding ahi tin akihahsel-un, hinlah jou jengseh aseijun ahi.
12 whose children are as plants, strengthened in their youth: their daughters are beautiful, sumptuously adorned after the similitude of a temple.
Kachapateu akhandon laijun thingphung phatah bang in khanlhit sah in, kachanuteu jong leng inpi jemhoi dinga kisem khompi hoitah ho bang u-hen.
13 Their garners are full, and bursting with one kind of store after another; their sheep are prolific, multiplying in their streets.
Kachangpang jouseu jong lousoh jouse pum’in dimsoh hen, kalou jaova kagan chateu asang sang in, sangsom som chan geijin pung hen.
14 Their oxen are fat: there is no falling down of a hedge, nor going out, nor cry in their folds.
Kagancha teu gai pha hen, veiset le apengsol umhih hel hen! Ka khopi sung jenguva jong lunggim khoisat beihel hen.
15 Men bless the people to whom this lot belongs, [but] blessed is the people whose God is the Lord.
