< Psalms 139 >

1 For the end, a Psalm of David. O Lord, you have proved me, and known me.
Thaburi ya Daudi Wee Jehova-rĩ, nĩũũthuthuurĩtie na ũkaamenya.
2 You know my down-sitting and mine up-rising: you understand my thoughts long before.
Nĩũĩ rĩrĩa njikarĩte thĩ na rĩrĩa njũkĩrĩte ũkamenya meciiria makwa ũrĩ o kũraya.
3 You have traced my path and my bed, and have foreseen all my ways.
Nĩũũĩ ngiumagara o na ngĩkoma; Wee nĩũũĩ mĩthiĩre yakwa yothe.
4 For there is no unrighteous word in my tongue: behold, O Lord, you have known all things,
Wee Jehova-rĩ, itanagweta kiugo na rũrĩmĩ rwakwa, Wee nĩũkoragwo ũkĩũĩ biũ.
5 the last and the first: you have fashioned me, and laid your hand upon me.
Nĩũnjirigĩire mbere na thuutha; nĩũnjigĩrĩire guoko gwaku.
6 The knowledge of you is too wonderful for me; it is very difficult, I can’t [attain] to it.
Ũmenyo ta ũcio nĩ wa magegania mũno harĩ niĩ, ũrĩ igũrũ mũno ndingĩũkinyĩra.
7 Whither shall I go from your Spirit? and whither shall I flee from my presence?
Nĩ kũ ingĩthiĩ njeherere Roho waku? Ingĩũrĩra kũ nyume ũthiũ-inĩ waku?
8 If I should go up to heaven, you are there: if I should go down to hell, you are present. (Sheol h7585)
Ingĩambata thiĩ igũrũ, Wee ũrĩ kuo; ingĩara ũrĩrĩ wakwa kũrĩa kũriku mũno, Wee ũrĩ o kuo. (Sheol h7585)
9 If I should spread my wings [to fly] straight forward, and sojourn at the extremity of the sea, [it would be vain],
Ingĩũmbũka na mathagu ma gũgĩkĩa, ingĩthiĩ gũtũũra mũrĩmo ũrĩa ũngĩ wa iria, kũndũ kũraya mũno,
10 for even there your hand would guide me, and your right hand would hold me.
o na kũu guoko gwakwa nokuo kũngĩndongoria, guoko gwaku kwa ũrĩo gũkĩĩnyiite kũnũmĩtie.
11 When I said, Surely the darkness will cover me; even the night [was] light in my luxury.
Ingiuga atĩrĩ, “Ti-itherũ nduma nĩĩkũũhitha, naguo ũtheri ũyũ ũũthiũrũrũkĩirie ũtuĩke ũtukũ,”
12 For darkness will not be darkness with you; but night will be light as day: as its darkness, so shall its light [be to you].
o na nduma ndĩrĩ hĩndĩ ĩngĩgũtumanĩra; ũtukũ ũkwara ta mũthenya, nĩgũkorwo nduma kũrĩ we nĩ ta ũtheri.
13 For you, O Lord, have possessed my reins; you have helped me from my mother's womb.
Nĩgũkorwo nĩwe wombire ciĩga ciakwa cia na thĩinĩ; wanyiitithanirie ndĩ o nda ya maitũ.
14 I will give you thanks; for you are fearfully wondrous; wondrous are your works; and my soul knows [it] well.
Nĩngũkũgooca nĩ ũndũ mũũmbĩre ũrĩa nyũmbĩtwo naguo nĩ wa kũmakania na wa magegania; ciĩko ciaku nĩ cia magegania, niĩ mwene nĩnjũũĩ ũguo o wega.
15 My bones, which you made in secret were not hidden from you, nor my substance, in the lowest parts of the earth.
Mahĩndĩ makwa matiahithĩkĩte harĩwe, rĩrĩa ndoombĩirwo kũrĩa kũhitharu. Rĩrĩa ndanyiitithanagio hamwe ndĩ thĩ kũrĩa kũriku mũno-rĩ,
16 Your eyes saw my unwrought [substance], and all [men] shall be written in your book; they shall be formed by day, though [there should for a time] be no one among them.
maitho maku nĩmonaga mwĩrĩ wakwa ũtanombwo biũ. Matukũ mothe marĩa nyamũrĩirwo nĩmandĩkĩtwo ibuku-inĩ rĩaku o na mbere ya ũmwe wamo kũgĩa.
17 But your friends, O God, have been greatly honored by me; their rule has been greatly strengthened.
Hĩ! Ĩ meciiria maku matikĩrĩ ma bata harĩ niĩ, Wee Mũrungu! Kaĩ mũigana wamo nĩ mũnene-ĩ!
18 I will number them, and they shall be multiplied beyond the sand; I awake, and am still with you.
Ingĩtua kũmatara, no maingĩhe gũkĩra mũthanga. Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa ndokĩra, ndĩ o hamwe nawe.
19 Oh that you would kill the wicked, O God; depart from me, you men of blood.
Wee Ngai-rĩ, naarĩ korwo woraga arĩa aaganu! Njehererai, inyuĩ mũnyootagĩra gũita thakame!
20 For you will say concerning [their] thought, [that] they shall take your cities in vain.
Maaragia ũhoro waku marĩ na meciiria mooru; arĩa magũthũire mahũthagĩra rĩĩtwa rĩaku ũũru.
21 Have I not hated them, O Lord, that hate you? and wasted away because of your enemies?
Wee Jehova, githĩ ndithũire arĩa magũthũire, na ngamena arĩa magũũkagĩrĩra?
22 I have hated them with perfect hatred; they were counted my enemies.
Gũthũũra ndĩmathũire o biũ; ndĩmatuaga thũ ciakwa.
23 Prove me, O God, and know my heart; examine me, and know my paths;
Wee Mũrungu, thuthuuria, ũmenye ngoro yakwa; ngeria ũmenye meciiria makwa.
24 and see if [there is any] way of iniquity in me, and lead me in an everlasting way.
Rora wone kana nĩ harĩ mĩthiĩre mĩũru thĩinĩ wakwa, na ũkĩndongorie na njĩra ĩrĩa ya tene na tene.
