< Psalms 136 >

1 Alleluia. Give thanks to the Lord: for he is good: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
ارْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لِلرَّبِّ لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.١
2 Give thanks to the God of gods; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
ارْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لإِلَهِ الآلِهَةِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٢
3 Give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
ارْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لِرَبِّ الأَرْبَابِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٣
4 To him who along has wrought great wonders: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
الصَّانِعِ الْعَجَائِبَ الْعِظَامَ وَحْدَهُ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٤
5 To him who made the heavens by understanding; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
الصَّانِعِ السَّمَاوَاتِ بِحِكْمَةٍ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٥
6 To him who established the earth on the waters; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
الْبَاسِطِ الأَرْضَ فَوْقَ الْمِيَاهِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٦
7 To him who alone made great lights; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
الصَّانِعِ الأَنْوَارَ الْعَظِيمَةَ لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٧
8 The sun to rule by day; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
الشَّمْسَ لِتُضِيءَ نَهَاراً، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٨
9 The moon and the stars to rule the night; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
وَالْقَمَرَ وَالْكَوَاكِبَ لِتُنِيرَ لَيْلاً، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٩
10 To him who struck Egypt with their firstborn; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
الَّذِي ضَرَبَ مِصْرَ مَعَ أَبْكَارِهَا، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.١٠
11 And brought Israel out of the midst of them; for his mercy [endures] for ever:
وَأَخْرَجَ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ مِنْ وَسَطِهِمْ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.١١
12 with a strong hand, and a high arm: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
بِيَدٍ شَدِيدَةٍ وَذِرَاعٍ قَدِيرَةٍ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.١٢
13 To him who divided the Red Sea into parts: for his mercy [endures] for ever:
الَّذِي فَلَقَ الْبَحْرَ الأَحْمَرَ إِلَى شَطْرَيْنِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.١٣
14 and brought Israel through the midst of it: for his mercy [endures] for ever:
وَأَجَازَ الإِسْرَائِيلِيِّينَ فِي وَسَطِهِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.١٤
15 and overthrew Pharao and his host in the Red Sea: for his mercy endures for ever.
وَدَفَعَ فِرْعَوْنَ وَجَيْشَهُ إِلَى الْبَحْرِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.١٥
16 To him who led his people through the wilderness: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
الَّذِي قَادَ شَعْبَهُ فِي الْبَرِّيَّةِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.١٦
17 To him who struck great kings: for his mercy [endures] for ever:
الَّذِي أَطَاحَ بِمُلُوكٍ عُظَمَاءَ. لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.١٧
18 and killed mighty kings; for his mercy [endures] for ever:
وَقَتَلَ مُلُوكاً ذَوِي شُهْرَةٍ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.١٨
19 Seon king of the Amorites: for his mercy [endures] for ever:
كَسِيحُونَ مَلِكِ الأَمُورِيِّينَ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.١٩
20 and Og king of Basan: for his mercy [endures] for ever:
وَعُوجَ مَلِكِ بَاشَانَ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٢٠
21 and gave their land [for] an inheritance: for his mercy [endures] for ever:
وَأَعْطَى أَرْضَهُمْ مِيرَاثاً، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٢١
22 even an inheritance to Israel his servant: for his mercy [endures] for ever.
مِيرَاثاً لإِسْرَائِيلَ عَبْدِهِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٢٢
23 For the Lord remembered us in our low estate; for his mercy [endures] for ever:
الَّذِي ذَكَرَنَا فِي مَذَلَّتِنَا، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٢٣
24 and redeemed us from our enemies; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
وَخَلَّصَنَا مِنْ أَعْدَائِنَا، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٢٤
25 Who gives food to all flesh; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
الَّذِي يَرْزُقُ خُبْزاً كُلَّ بَشَرٍ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٢٥
26 Give thanks to the God of heaven; for his mercy [endures] for ever.
ارْفَعُوا الشُّكْرَ لإِلَهِ السَّمَاوَاتِ، لأَنَّ رَحْمَتَهُ إِلَى الأَبَدِ تَدُومُ.٢٦
