< Psalms 131 >

1 A Song of Degrees. O Lord, my heart is not exalted, neither have mine eyes been [haughtily] raised: neither have I exercised myself in great [matters], nor in things too wonderful for me.
Ko e Hiva ʻa Tevita maʻae ʻalu hake. ‌ʻE Sihova, ʻoku ʻikai fielahi hoku loto, pe fieʻeiki hoku mata: pea ʻoku ʻikai te u kau ʻi he ngaahi meʻa lalahi, pe ʻi he ngaahi meʻa ʻoku māʻolunga hake ʻiate au.
2 [I shall have sinned] if I have not been humble, but have exulted my soul: according to [the relation of] a weaned child to his mother, so will you recompense my soul.
Ko e moʻoni kuo u fakafiemālieʻi mo fakanaʻanaʻaʻi au, ʻo hangē ko e tamasiʻi kuo fakamāvae mei heʻene faʻē: ʻoku tatau hoku laumālie mo e tamasiʻi kuo fakamāvae.
3 Let Israel hope in the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.
Tuku ke ʻamanaki lelei ʻa ʻIsileli kia Sihova, mei he ʻaho ni pea taʻengata.
