Psalms 130

1 A Song of Degrees. Out of the depths have I cried to you, O Lord.

Ingoma yemiqanso. Ngingaphansi ekujuleni ngiyakhala kuwe, Thixo;

2 O Lord, listen to my voice; let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplication.

Thixo, zwana ilizwi lami. Indlebe zakho kazilalele ukukhala kwami ngicela umusa.

3 If you, O Lord, should mark iniquities, O Lord, who shall stand?

Aluba wena, Thixo ububhala phansi zonke izono, ngubani ongema na Nkosi?

4 For with you is forgiveness: for your name's sake

Kodwa kuwe kulentethelelo; ngalokho uyesatshwa.

5 have I waited for you, O Lord, my soul has waited for your word.

Ngiyamlindela uThixo, umphefumulo wami uyalinda, ngibeka ithemba lami elizwini lakho.

6 My soul has hoped in the Lord; from the morning watch till night.

Umphefumulo wami ulindela uThixo okudlula abalindi bemelele ukusa, okudlula abalindi bemelele ukusa.

7 Let Israel hope in the Lord: for with the Lord is mercy, and with him is plenteous redemption.

We Israyeli, beka ithemba lakho kuThixo, ngoba kuye uThixo kulothando olungaphuthiyo njalo kuye kulensindiso epheleleyo.

8 And he shall redeem Israel from all his iniquities.

Yena ngokwakhe uzahlenga u-Israyeli kuzozonke izono zabo.
