Psalms 13

1 For the end, a Psalm of David. How long, O Lord, will you forget me? for ever? how long will you turn away your face from me?

Para el músico principal. Un salmo de David. ¿Hasta cuándo, Yahvé? ¿Me olvidarás para siempre? ¿Cuánto tiempo vas a ocultar tu rostro de mí?

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [having] sorrows in my heart daily? how long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

¿Hasta cuándo voy a aconsejar en mi alma, ¿tener pena en mi corazón todos los días? ¿Cuánto tiempo triunfará mi enemigo sobre mí?

3 Look on me, listen to me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep in death;

Mira y respóndeme, Yahvé, mi Dios. Da luz a mis ojos, para que no duerma en la muerte;

4 lest at any time mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him: my persecutors will exult if ever I should be moved.

para que mi enemigo no diga: “He vencido contra él”. para que mis adversarios no se alegren de mi caída.

5 But I have hoped in your mercy; my heart shall exult in your salvation.

Pero confío en tu amorosa bondad. Mi corazón se regocija en tu salvación.

6 I will sing to the Lord who has dealt bountifully with me, and I will sing psalms to the name of the Lord most high.

Cantaré a Yahvé, porque ha sido bueno conmigo.
