Psalms 13

1 For the end, a Psalm of David. How long, O Lord, will you forget me? for ever? how long will you turn away your face from me?

Jusqu'à la Fin, Psaume de David.

2 How long shall I take counsel in my soul, [having] sorrows in my heart daily? how long shall my enemy be exalted over me?

Jusques à quand, Seigneur, m'oublieras-tu? Jusques à quand détourneras-tu de moi ta face?

3 Look on me, listen to me, O Lord my God: lighten mine eyes, lest I sleep in death;

Jusques à quand remplirai-je mon âme de vains projets, et mon cœur d'affliction durant tout le jour. Jusques à quand mon ennemi s'élèvera-t-il sur moi?

4 lest at any time mine enemy say, I have prevailed against him: my persecutors will exult if ever I should be moved.

Regarde et écoute-moi, Seigneur mon Dieu. Éclaire mes yeux, de peur que je ne m'endorme dans la mort;

5 But I have hoped in your mercy; my heart shall exult in your salvation.

De peur que mon ennemi ne vienne à dire: J'ai prévalu contre lui. Ceux qui m'oppriment tressailliront de joie, si je suis ébranlé.

6 I will sing to the Lord who has dealt bountifully with me, and I will sing psalms to the name of the Lord most high.

Et moi, j'ai espéré en ta miséricorde. Mon cœur se réjouira dans le salut qui me viendra de toi. Je chanterai le Seigneur, qui m'a accordé ses bienfaits je célébrerai le nom du Seigneur Très-Haut.
