Psalms 129
1 A Song of Degrees. Many a time have they warred against me from my youth, let Israel now say:
၁ဣသရေလ၊သင်ငယ်စဉ်အခါမှစ၍ ရန်သူများသည် သင့်ကိုအဘယ်သို့ရက်စက်စွာညှဉ်းဆဲ နှိပ်စက်ကြကြောင်းကိုငါတို့အားဖော်ပြလော့။
2 Many a time have they warred against me from my youth: and yet they prevailed not against me.
၂``ငယ်စဉ်အခါမှအစပြု၍ငါ့အားရန်သူတို့သည် ရက်စက်စွာညှဉ်းဆဲခဲ့ကြလေပြီ။ သို့ရာတွင်သူတို့သည်ငါ့အပေါ်တွင် အနိုင်မရခဲ့ကြ။
3 The sinners wrought upon my back: they prolonged their iniquity.
၃သူတို့သည်ငါ၏ကျောကုန်းကိုပြင်းထန်သည့် ဒဏ်ရာများရစေသဖြင့်ထွန်ကြောင်းများရှိသည့် လယ်ကွက်သဖွယ်ဖြစ်စေကြ၏။
4 The righteous Lord has cut asunder the necks of sinners.
၄သို့ရာတွင်ဖြောင့်မတ်တော်မူသောအရှင် ထာဝရဘုရားသည်ငါ့ကိုကျွန်ဘဝမှ လွတ်မြောက်စေတော်မူလေပြီ''
5 Let all that hate Sion be put to shame and turned back.
၅ဇိအုန်မြို့ကိုမုန်းသောသူအပေါင်းတို့သည် အရေးရှုံးနိမ့်လျက်တပ်လန်ကြပါစေသော။
6 Let them be as the grass of the housetops, which withers before it is plucked up.
၆သူတို့သည်အိမ်ခေါင်မိုးပေါ်တွင်ပေါက်၍ မကြီးထွားမီခြောက်သွေ့သွားသည့် မြက်ပင်များကဲ့သို့ဖြစ်ပါစေသော။
7 Wherewith the reaper fills not his hand, nor he that makes up the sheaves, his bosom.
၇ထိုမြက်တို့ကိုအဘယ်သူမျှစုသိမ်းသယ်ယူမှုကို ပြုလိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်။
8 Neither do they that go by say, The blessing of the Lord be upon you: we have blessed you in the name of the Lord.
၈``ထာဝရဘုရားသည်သင်တို့ကိုကောင်းချီး ပေးတော်မူပါစေသော။ ထာဝရဘုရား၏နာမတော်ကိုအမှီပြု၍ ငါတို့သည်သင်တို့အားကောင်းချီးပေး ပါ၏'' ဟူ၍ အနီးမှဖြတ်သန်းသွားလာသူတို့ကသူတို့အား ပြောဆိုကြလိမ့်မည်မဟုတ်။
