Psalms 119
1 Alleluia. Blessed are the blameless in the way, who walk in the law of the Lord.
Babusisiwe abaqotho endleleni, abahamba emlayweni weNkosi.
2 Blessed are they that search out his testimonies: they will diligently seek him with the whole heart.
Babusisiwe abagcina izifakazelo zayo, abayidinga ngenhliziyo yonke.
3 For they that work iniquity have not walked in his ways.
Njalo kabenzi okubi, bahamba endleleni zayo.
4 You have commanded [us] diligently to keep your precepts.
Wena usulayile ukugcina ngokukhuthala imithetho yakho.
5 O that my ways were directed to keep your ordinances.
Kungathi izindlela zami zingaqondiswa ukugcina izimiso zakho!
6 Then shall I not be ashamed, when I have respect to all your commandments.
Khona ngingayikuyangeka, lapho nginanzelela yonke imithetho yakho.
7 I will give you thanks with uprightness of heart, when I have learned the judgments of your righteousness.
Ngizakudumisa ngobuqotho benhliziyo, sengifunde izahlulelo zokulunga kwakho.
8 I will keep your ordinances: O forsake me not greatly.
Ngizagcina izimiso zakho. Ungangitshiyi ngokupheleleyo.
9 Wherewith shall a young man direct his way? by keeping your words.
Ijaha lingayihlanza ngani indlela yalo? Ngokuqaphela njengokwelizwi lakho.
10 With my whole heart have I diligently sought you: cast me not away from your commandments.
Ngikudingile ngenhliziyo yami yonke; ungangiphambuli emithethweni yakho.
11 I have hidden your oracles in my heart, that I might not sin against you.
Ilizwi lakho ngilifihlile enhliziyweni yami, ukuze ngingoni kuwe.
12 Blessed are you, O Lord: teach me your ordinances.
Kawubongwe wena, Nkosi; ungifundise izimiso zakho.
13 With my lips have I declared all the judgments of your mouth.
Ngezindebe zami ngilandisile zonke izahlulelo zomlomo wakho.
14 I have delighted in the way of your testimonies, [as much] as in all riches.
Ngithokozile ngendlela yezifakazelo zakho njengaphezu kwenotho yonke.
15 I will meditate on your commandments, and consider your ways.
Ngizazindla ngemithetho yakho, ngikhangele ezindleleni zakho.
16 I will meditate on your ordinances: I will not forget your words.
Ngizazithokozisa ngezimiso zakho; kangiyikukhohlwa ilizwi lakho.
17 Render a recompense to your servant: [so] shall I live, and keep your words.
Iphathe kuhle inceku yakho, ukuze ngiphile ngigcine ilizwi lakho.
18 Unveil you mine eyes, and I shall perceive wondrous things of your law.
Vula amehlo ami ukuze ngibone izimangaliso ezivela emlayweni wakho.
19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not your commandments from me.
Ngiyisihambi emhlabeni; ungangifihleli imithetho yakho.
20 My soul has longed exceedingly for your judgments at all times.
Umphefumulo wami uyadabuka ngenxa yokulangathela izahlulelo zakho ngaso sonke isikhathi.
21 You have rebuked the proud: cursed are they that turn aside from your commandments.
Ukhuzile abaziqakisayo abaqalekisiweyo, abaduha emithethweni yakho.
22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have sought out your testimonies.
Susa kimi ihlazo lokudelela, ngoba ngigcinile izifakazelo zakho.
23 For princes sat and spoke against me: but your servant was meditating on your ordinances.
Iziphathamandla lazo zahlala zakhuluma zimelene lami; inceku yakho yazindla ngezimiso zakho.
24 For your testimonies are my (meditation) and your ordinances are my counselors.
Izifakazelo zakho lazo ziyintokozo yami, zingabeluleki bami.
25 My soul has cleaved to the ground; quicken you me according to your word.
Umphefumulo wami unamathele ethulini; ngivuselela ngokwelizwi lakho.
26 I declared my ways, and you did hear me: teach me your ordinances.
Ngilandisile indlela zami, wangiphendula. Ngifundisa izimiso zakho.
27 Instruct me in the way of your ordinances; and I will meditate on your wondrous works.
Ngenze ngiqedisise indlela yemithetho yakho, ukuze ngikhulume ngezenzo zakho ezimangalisayo.
28 My soul has slumbered for sorrow; strengthen you me with your words.
Umphefumulo wami uyathonta ngenxa yosizi; ngiqinisa ngokwelizwi lakho.
29 Remove from me the way of iniquity; and be merciful to me by your law.
Susa kimi indlela yamanga, unginike ngomusa umlayo wakho.
30 I have chosen the way of truth; and have not forgotten your judgments.
Ngikhethile indlela yeqiniso, ngibekile phambi kwami izahlulelo zakho.
31 I have cleaved to your testimonies, O Lord; put me not to shame.
Nginamathele ezifakazelweni zakho; Nkosi, ungangiyangisi.
32 I ran the way of your commandments, when you did enlarge my heart.
Ngizagijima endleleni yemithetho yakho, ngoba uzakhulisa inhliziyo yami.
33 Teach me, O Lord, the way of your ordinances, and I will seek it out continually.
Ngifundisa, Nkosi, indlela yezimiso zakho, njalo ngizayigcinakuze kube sekupheleni.
34 Instruct me, and I will search out your law, and will keep it with my whole heart.
Ngiphe ukuqedisisa ngibe sengigcina umlayo wakho, yebo ngiwulondoloze ngenhliziyo yonke.
35 Guide me in the path of your commandments; for I have delighted in it.
Ngihambisa endleleni yemithetho yakho, ngoba ngiyathokoza ngayo.
36 Incline mine heart to your testimonies, and not to covetousness.
Thobisela inhliziyo yami ezifakazelweni zakho, kungabi semhawini.
37 Turn away mine eyes that I may not behold vanity: quicken you me in your way.
Susa amehlo ami ukuze angaboni okuyize; ungivuselele endleleni yakho.
38 Confirm your oracle to your servant, that he may fear you.
Qinisa ilizwi lakho encekwini yakho ezinikele ukukwesaba.
39 Take away my reproach which I have feared: for your judgments are good.
Susa isigcono engisesabayo, ngoba izahlulelo zakho zilungile.
40 Behold, I have desired your commandments: quicken me in your righteousness.
Khangela, ngiyalangatha imithetho yakho; ngivuselela ekulungeni kwakho.
41 And let your mercy come upon me, O Lord; [even] your salvation, according to your word.
Lezisa zakho kazize kimi, Nkosi, usindiso lwakho ngokwelizwi lakho.
42 And [so] I shall render an answer to them that reproach me: for I have trusted in your words.
Khona ngizakuba lakho ukuphendula ongithukayo, ngoba ngiyathembela elizwini lakho.
43 And take not the word of truth utterly out of my mouth; for I have hoped in your judgments. So shall I keep your law continually, for ever and ever.
Njalo ungasusi ngokupheleleyo emlonyeni wami ilizwi leqiniso, ngoba ngithembele ezahlulelweni zakho.
Ngokunjalo ngizawugcina umlayo wakho njalonjalo, kuze kube phakade laphakade.
45 I walked also at large: for I sought out your commandments.
Ngizahamba ebubanzini, ngoba ngidinga imithetho yakho.
46 And I spoke of your testimonies before kings, and was not ashamed.
Njalo ngizakhuluma ngezifakazelo zakho phambi kwamakhosi, ngingayangeki.
47 And I meditated on your commandments, which I loved exceedingly.
Ngizithokozise ngemithetho yakho engiyithandileyo.
48 And I lifted up my hands to your commandments which I loved; and I meditated in your ordinances.
Ngizaphakamisela lezandla zami emithethweni yakho engiyithandileyo, ngizindle ngezimiso zakho.
49 Remember your words to your servant, wherein you have made me hope.
Khumbula ilizwi encekwini yakho, ongenze ngathembela kulo.
50 This has comforted me in mine affliction: for your oracle has quickened me.
Le yinduduzo yami ekuhluphekeni kwami, ngoba ilizwi lakho lingivuselele.
51 The proud have transgressed exceedingly; but I swerved not from your law.
Abazigqajayo bangiklolodela kakhulukazi; kangiphambukanga emlayweni wakho.
52 I remembered your judgments of old, O Lord; and was comforted.
Ngikhumbule izahlulelo zakho zasendulo, Nkosi, futhi ngiziduduzile.
53 Despair took hold upon me, because of the sinners who forsake your law.
Intukuthelo enkulu ingibambile ngenxa yababi abatshiya umlayo wakho.
54 Your ordinances were my songs in the place of my sojourning.
Izimiso zakho zaba zingoma zami endlini yobuhambuma bami.
55 I remembered your name, O Lord, in the night, and kept your law.
Ebusuku ngikhumbule ibizo lakho, Nkosi, ngigcine umlayo wakho.
56 This I had, because I diligently sought your ordinances.
Lokhu kwaba ngokwami ngoba ngigcinile imithetho yakho.
57 You are my portion, O Lord: I said that I would keep your law.
UJehova uyisabelo sami; ngithe ngizagcina amazwi akho.
58 I implored your favor with my whole heart: have mercy upon me according to your word.
Ngancenga ubuso bakho ngenhliziyo yonke; woba lomusa kimi ngokwelizwi lakho.
59 I thought on your ways, and turned my feet to your testimonies.
Ngazindla ngezindlela zami, ngaphendulela inyawo zami ezifakazelweni zakho.
60 I prepared myself, (and was not terrified, ) to keep your commandments.
Ngaphangisa, kangiphuzanga ukugcina imithetho yakho.
61 The snares of sinners entangled me: but I forgot not your law.
Amaxuku ababi angihanqile; kangikhohlwa umlayo wakho.
62 At midnight I arose, to give thanks to you for the judgments of your righteousness.
Phakathi kobusuku ngizavuka ukuze ngikubonge ngenxa yezahlulelo zokulunga kwakho.
63 I am a companion of all them that fear you, and of them that keep your commandments.
Ngingumngane wabo bonke abakwesabayo, labagcina imithetho yakho.
64 O Lord, the earth is full of your mercy: teach me your ordinances.
Nkosi, umhlaba ugcwele umusa wakho; ngifundisa izimiso zakho.
65 You have wrought kindly with your servant, o Lord, according to your word.
Wenzele inceku yakho okuhle, Nkosi, ngokwelizwi lakho.
66 Teach me kindness, and instruction, and knowledge: for I have believed your commandments.
Ngifundisa ingqondo enhle lolwazi, ngoba ngikholwa imithetho yakho.
67 Before I was afflicted, I transgressed; therefore have I kept your word.
Ngingakahlupheki ngaduha, kodwa khathesi ngigcine ilizwi lakho.
68 Good are you, O Lord; therefore in your goodness teach me your ordinances.
Wena ulungile, wenza okulungileyo; ngifundisa izimiso zakho.
69 The injustice of the proud has been multiplied against me: but I will search out your commandments with all my heart.
Abazigqajayo bangibhaceke ngamanga; ngenhliziyo yonke mina ngizagcina imithetho yakho.
70 Their heart has been curdled like milk; but I have meditated on your law.
Inhliziyo yabo inone njengamahwahwa; mina ngithokoza ngomlayo wakho.
71 [It is] good for me that you have afflicted me; that I might learn your ordinances.
Kungilungele ukuthi ngihlutshwe, ukuze ngifunde izimiso zakho.
72 The law of your mouth is better to me than thousands of gold and silver.
Umlayo womlomo wakho ungcono kimi kulezinkulungwane zegolide lezesiliva.
73 Your hands have made me, and fashioned me: instruct me, that I may learn your commandments.
Izandla zakho zingenzile, zangibumba; ngiphe ukuqedisisa ukuze ngifunde imithetho yakho.
74 They that fear you will see me and rejoice: for I have hoped in your words.
Abakwesabayo bazangibona bathokoze, ngoba ngithembele elizwini lakho.
75 I know, O Lord, that your judgments are righteousness, and [that] you in truthfulness have afflicted me.
Ngiyazi, Nkosi, ukuthi izahlulelo zakho zilungile, lokuthi ungihluphile ngokuthembeka.
76 Let, I pray you, your mercy be to comfort me, according to your word to your servant.
Umusa wakho ake ube yinduduzo yami njengokutsho kwakho encekwini yakho.
77 Let your compassions come to me, that I may live: for your law is my (meditation)
Izihawu zakho kazize kimi ukuze ngiphile, ngoba umlayo wakho uyintokozo yami.
78 Let the proud be ashamed; for they transgressed against me unjustly: but I will meditate in your commandments.
Abazigqajayo kabayangeke, ngoba bangiphambukisa ngamanga; mina ngizazindla ngemithetho yakho.
79 Let those that fear you, and those that know your testimonies, turn to me.
Kabaphendukele kimi abakwesabayo, labazi izifakazelo zakho.
80 Let mine heart be blameless in your ordinances, that I may not be ashamed.
Inhliziyo yami kayiphelele ezimisweni zakho, ukuze ngingayangeki.
81 My soul faints for your salvation: I have hoped in your words.
Umphefumulo wami uyaphela ngokulangatha usindiso lwakho; ngithembela elizwini lakho.
82 Mine eyes failed [in waiting] for your word, saying, When will you comfort me?
Amehlo ami ayafiphala ngokulangatha ilizwi lakho, ngisithi: Uzangiduduza nini?
83 For I am become as a bottle in the frost: [yet] I have not forgotten your ordinances.
Ngoba senginjengomgodla osentuthwini; kangikhohlwa izimiso zakho.
84 How many are the days of your servant? when will you execute judgment for me on them that persecute me?
Zingaki insuku zenceku yakho? Uzakwenza nini isigwebo kwabangizingelayo?
85 Transgressors told me [idle tales]; but not according to your law, O Lord.
Abazigqajayo bangigebhela imigodi, okungenjengokomlayo wakho.
86 All your commandments are truth; they persecuted me unjustly; help you me.
Yonke imithetho yakho ithembekile; bangizingela ngamanga; ngisiza!
87 They nearly made an end of me in the earth; but I forsook not your commandments.
Baphosa bangiqeda emhlabeni, kodwa mina kangitshiyanga imithetho yakho.
88 Quicken me according to your mercy; so shall I keep the testimonies of your mouth.
Ngivuselela ngokomusa wakho; ngibe sengigcina isifakazelo somlomo wakho.
89 Your word, O Lord, abides in heaven for ever.
Laphakade, Nkosi, ilizwi lakho limi emazulwini.
90 Your truth [endures] to all generations; you have founded the earth, and it abides.
Uthembeko lwakho lusesizukulwaneni lesizukulwana; wamisa umhlaba, usemi.
91 The day continues by your arrangement; for all things are your servants.
Ngokwezimiso zakho kusemi lamuhla, ngoba konke kuzinceku zakho.
92 Were it not that your law is my (meditation) then I should have perished in mine affliction.
Uba umlayo wakho ubungesizo intokozo zami, ngabe sengibhubhele ekuhluphekeni kwami.
93 I will never forget your ordinances; for with them you have quickened me.
Laphakade kangiyikukhohlwa imithetho yakho, ngoba ungivuselele ngayo.
94 I am your, save me; for I have sought out your ordinances.
Ngingowakho, ungisindise; ngoba ngiyidingile imithetho yakho.
95 Sinners laid wait for me to destroy me; [but] I understood your testimonies.
Ababi bangilindele ukungibhubhisa; ngiyananzelela izifakazelo zakho.
96 have seen an end of all perfection; [but] your commandment is very broad.
Ngibonile ukucina kwakho konke ukuphelela, kodwa umlayo wakho ubanzi kakhulu.
97 How I have loved your law, O Lord! it is my meditation all the day.
Ngiwuthanda kangakanani umlayo wakho! Usuku lonke uyikuzindla kwami.
98 You have made me wiser than mine enemies [in] your commandment; for it is mine for ever.
Ngemithetho yakho uyangihlakaniphisa kulezitha zami, ngoba ilami kuze kube nininini.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers; for your testimonies are my medication.
Ngilokuqedisisa kulabo bonke abafundisi bami, ngoba izifakazelo zakho ziyikuzindla kwami.
100 I understand more that the aged; because I have sought out your commandments.
Ngiyaqedisisa kulabadala, ngoba ngigcina imithetho yakho.
101 I have kept back my feet from every evil way, that I might keep your words.
Ngizinqandile inyawo zami kuyo yonke indlela embi, ukuze ngigcine ilizwi lakho.
102 I have not declined from your judgments; for you have instructed me.
Kangiphambukanga kuzahlulelo zakho, ngoba wena ungifundisile.
103 How sweet are your oracles to my throat! more so than honey to my mouth!
Amnandi kangakanani amazwi akho ekunambitheni kwami, okwedlula uluju emlonyeni wami!
104 I gain understanding by your commandments: therefore I have hated every way of unrighteousness.
Emithethweni yakho ngizuza ukuqedisisa; ngenxa yalokho ngizonda yonke indlela yamanga.
105 Your law is a lamp to my feet, and a light to my paths.
Ilizwi lakho liyisibane enyaweni lwami, lokukhanya endleleni yami.
106 I have sworn and determined to keep the judgments of your righteousness.
Ngifungile, ngizakuqinisa, ukugcina izahlulelo zokulunga kwakho.
107 I have been very greatly afflicted, O Lord: quicken me, according to your word.
Ngiyahlupheka kakhulukazi; Nkosi, ngivuselela ngokwelizwi lakho.
108 Accept, I pray you, O Lord, the free will offerings of my mouth, and teach me your judgments.
Nkosi, yemukela iminikelo yesihle yomlomo wami, ungifundise izahlulelo zakho.
109 My soul is continually in your hands; and I have not forgotten your law.
Umphefumulo wami usesandleni sami njalonjalo, kodwa kangikhohlwa umlayo wakho.
110 Sinners spread a snare for me; but I erred not from your commandments.
Ababi bangibekele umjibila, kodwa kangiduhanga emithethweni yakho.
111 I have inherited your testimonies for ever; for they are the joy of my heart.
Ngidle ilifa lezifakazelo zakho kuze kube nininini, ngoba ziyintokozo yenhliziyo yami.
112 I have inclined my heart to perform your ordinances for ever, in return [for your mercies].
Ngithobe inhliziyo yami ukwenza izimiso zakho njalonjalo, kuze kube sekupheleni.
113 I have hated transgressors; but I have loved your law.
Ngiyabazonda abanhliziyombili, kodwa umlayo wakho ngiyawuthanda.
114 You are my helper and my supporter; I have hoped in your words.
Wena uyisiphephelo sami lesihlangu sami; ngithemba elizwini lakho.
115 Depart from me, you evil-doers; for I will search out the commandments of my God.
Sukani kimi benzi bobubi, ngoba ngigcine imithetho kaNkulunkulu wami.
116 Uphold me according to your word, and quicken me; and make me not ashamed of my expectation.
Ngisekela ngokwelizwi lakho ukuze ngiphile, ungangiyangisi ngethemba lami.
117 Help me, and I shall be saved; and I will meditate in your ordinances continually.
Ngisekela ngibe sengisindiswa, ngizananzelela izimiso zakho njalonjalo.
118 You have brought to nothing all that depart from your ordinances; for their inward thought is unrighteous.
Uyabeyisa bonke abaduha ezimisweni zakho, ngoba ubuqili babo bungamanga.
119 I have reckoned all the sinners of the earth as transgressors; therefore have I loved your testimonies.
Uyasusa bonke ababi bomhlaba njengamanyele; ngakho ngiyazithanda izifakazelo zakho.
120 Penetrate my flesh with your fear; for I am afraid of your judgments.
Inyama yami iyathuthumela ngovalo ngawe, ngesaba izigwebo zakho.
121 I have done judgment and justice; deliver me not up to them that injure me.
Ngenzile ukwahlulela lokulunga; ungangiyekeli kubacindezeli bami.
122 Receive your servant for good: let not the proud accuse me falsely.
Mela inceku yakho kube kuhle, abazigqajayo kabangangicindezeli.
123 Mine eyes have failed for your salvation, and for the word of your righteousness.
Amehlo ami aphelela usindiso lwakho, lelizwi lokulunga kwakho.
124 Deal with your servant according to your mercy, and teach me your ordinances.
Yenza encekwini yakho ngokomusa wakho, ungifundise izimiso zakho.
125 I am your servant; instruct me, and I shall know your testimonies.
Ngiyinceku yakho; ngiphe ukuqedisisa, ukuze ngazi izifakazelo zakho.
126 [It is] time for the Lord to work: they have utterly broken your law.
Sekuyisikhathi seNkosi sokuthi isebenze, ngoba bawephule umlayo wakho.
127 Therefore have I loved your commandments more than gold, or the topaz.
Ngakho-ke ngiyayithanda imithetho yakho kakhulu kulegolide, yebo, kulegolide elicwengekileyo.
128 Therefore I directed myself [according] to all your commandments: I have hated every unjust way.
Ngalokho imithetho yakho yonke mayelana lazo zonke izinto ngiyibona iqondile; yonke indlela yamanga ngiyayizonda.
129 Your testimonies are wonderful: therefore my soul has sought them out.
Izifakazelo zakho ziyamangalisa; ngakho-ke umphefumulo wami uyazigcina.
130 The manifestation of your words will enlighten, and instruct the simple.
Ukuvulwa kwamazwi akho kuyakhanyisa, kunika ukuqedisisa kwabangelalwazi.
131 I opened my mouth, and drew breath: for I earnestly longed after your commandments.
Ngavula umlomo wami, ngaphefuzela, ngoba ngalangazelela imithetho yakho.
132 Look upon me and have mercy upon me, after the manner of them that love your name.
Phendukela kimi, ube lomusa kimi, njengomkhuba kulabo abathanda ibizo lakho.
133 Order my steps according to your word: and let not any iniquity have dominion over me.
Qinisa izinyathelo zami ngelizwi lakho, njalo kabungabusi phezu kwami labubi.
134 Deliver me from the false accusation of men: so will I keep your commandments.
Ngikhulula kucindezelo lwabantu, ukuze ngigcine imithetho yakho.
135 Cause your face to shine upon your servant: and teach me your ordinances.
Khanyisa ubuso bakho phezu kwenceku yakho, ungifundise izimiso zakho.
136 Mine eyes have been bathed in streams of water, because I kept not your law.
Imifula yamanzi iyehla emehlweni ami, ngoba kabagcini umlayo wakho.
137 Righteous are you, O Lord, and upright are your judgments.
Wena, Nkosi, ulungile, ziqondile izahlulelo zakho.
138 You has commanded righteousness and perfect truth, [as] your testimonies.
Ulayile izifakazelo zakho ekulungeni lekuthembekeni okukhulu.
139 Your zeal has quite wasted me: because mine enemies have forgotten your words.
Ukutshiseka kwami kungiqedile, ngoba izitha zami zikhohlwe amazwi akho.
140 Your word [has been] very fully tried; and your servant loves it.
Ilizwi lakho licwengekile kakhulu; ngakho inceku yakho iyalithanda.
141 I am young and despised: [yet] I have not forgotten your ordinances.
Ngimncinyane, ngidelelekile; imithetho yakho kangiyikhohlwa.
142 Your righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and your law is truth.
Ukulunga kwakho kuyikulunga kuze kube phakade, lomlayo wakho uliqiniso.
143 Afflictions and distresses found me: [but] your commandments [were] my (meditation)
Ucindezelo lohlupho kungifumene; imithetho yakho izintokozo zami.
144 Your testimonies [are] an everlasting righteousness: instruct me, and I shall live.
Ukulunga kwezifakazelo zakho kungokwaphakade; ngiphe ukuqedisisa ukuze ngiphile.
145 I cried with my whole heart; hear me, O Lord: I will search out your ordinances.
Ngakhala ngenhliziyo yami yonke; ngiphendula, Nkosi. Ngizagcina izimiso zakho.
146 I cried to you; save me, and I will keep your testimonies.
Ngikhalela kuwe; ngisindisa, njalo ngizagcina izifakazelo zakho.
147 I arose before the dawn, and cried: I hoped in your words.
Ngandulela uvivi, ngakhala; ngathembela elizwini lakho.
148 Mine eyes prevented the dawn, that I might meditate on your oracles.
Amehlo ami aqalela imilindo yobusuku, ukuze ngizindle elizwini lakho.
149 Hear my voice, O Lord, according to your mercy; quicken me according to your judgment.
Zwana ilizwi lami ngokomusa wakho; Nkosi, ngivuselela ngokwesahlulelo sakho.
150 They have drawn near who persecuted me unlawfully; and they are far removed from your law.
Bayasondela abazingeli bobubi, bakhatshana lomlayo wakho.
151 You are near, O Lord; and all your ways are truth.
Wena useduze, Nkosi, lemithetho yakho yonke iliqiniso.
152 I have known of old concerning your testimonies, that you have founded them for ever.
Sekukade ngisazi ngemilayo yakho ukuthi uyisekele kuze kube nininini.
153 Look upon mine affliction, and rescue me; for I have not forgotten your law.
Khangela ukuhlupheka kwami, ungikhulule, ngoba kangiwukhohlwa umlayo wakho.
154 Plead my cause, and ransom me: quicken me because of your word.
Mela udaba lwami, ungihlenge; ngivuselela ngokwelizwi lakho.
155 Salvation is far from sinners: for they have not searched out your ordinances.
Usindiso lukhatshana lababi, ngoba kabadingi izimiso zakho.
156 Your mercies, O Lord, are many: quicken me according to your judgment.
Izihawu zakho, Nkosi, zinkulu; ngivuselela ngokwezahlulelo zakho.
157 Many are they that persecute me and oppress me: [but] I have not declined from your testimonies.
Banengi abangizingelayo labayizitha zami; kangiphambuki ezifakazelweni zakho.
158 I saw men acting foolishly, and I pined away; for they kept not your oracles.
Ngabona abaphambuki, ngacunuka, ngoba kabagcinanga ilizwi lakho.
159 Behold, I have loved your commandments, O Lord: quicken me in your mercy.
Bona ukuthi ngiyayithanda imithetho yakho. Ngivuselela, Nkosi, ngokothandolomusa wakho.
160 The beginning of your words is truth; and all the judgments of your righteousness [endure] for ever.
Ilizwi lakho liliqiniso kwasekuqaleni, laso sonke isahlulelo sakho esilungileyo simi kuze kube nininini.
161 Princes persecuted me without a cause, but my heart feared because of your words.
Iziphathamandla zingizingela kungelasizatho; kodwa inhliziyo yami ilovalo ngamazwi akho.
162 I will exult because of your oracles, as one that finds much spoil.
Ngiyathokoza ngelizwi lakho njengothole impango enkulu.
163 I hate and abhor unrighteousness; but I love your law.
Amanga ngiyawazonda ngiyawenyanya; umlayo wakho ngiyawuthanda.
164 Seven times in a day have I praised you because of the judgments of your righteousness.
Kasikhombisa ngosuku ngiyakudumisa ngenxa yezahlulelo zakho ezilungileyo.
165 Great peace have they that love your law: and there is no stumbling block to them.
Balokuthula okukhulu abathanda umlayo wakho; njalo kakulasikhubekiso kubo.
166 I waited for your salvation, O Lord, and have loved your commandments.
Ngilindele usindiso lwakho, Nkosi, ngiyayenza imithetho yakho.
167 My soul has kept your testimonies, and loved them exceedingly.
Umphefumulo wami uyazigcina izifakazelo zakho, ngiyazithanda kakhulu.
168 I have kept your commandments and your testimonies; for all my ways are before you, O Lord.
Ngiyagcina imithetho yakho lezifakazelo zakho, ngoba zonke indlela zami ziphambi kwakho.
169 Let my supplication come near before you, o Lord; instruct me according to your oracle.
Ukukhala kwami kakusondele kuwe, Nkosi; ngiphe ukuqedisisa ngokwelizwi lakho.
170 Let my petition come in before you, O Lord; deliver me according to your oracle.
Ukuncenga kwami kakufike phambi kwakho; ngikhulula ngokwelizwi lakho.
171 Let my lips utter a hymn, when you shall have taught me your ordinances.
Indebe zami zizathulula indumiso, ngoba ungifundisile izimiso zakho.
172 Let my tongue utter your oracles; for all your commandments are righteous.
Ulimi lwami luzakhuluma ilizwi lakho, ngoba yonke imithetho yakho iyikulunga.
173 Let your hand be [prompt] to save me; for I have chosen your commandments.
Isandla sakho kasibe lusizo lwami, ngoba ngikhethile imithetho yakho.
174 I have longed after your salvation, O Lord; and your law is my (meditation)
Ngiyalangazelela usindiso lwakho, Nkosi, lomlayo wakho uyintokozo yami.
175 My soul shall live, and shall praise you; and your judgments shall help me.
Kawuphile umphefumulo wami, njalo uzakudumisa, lezahlulelo zakho zingisize.
176 I have gone astray like a lost sheep; seek your servant; for I have not forgotten your commandments.
Ngiduhile njengemvu elahlekileyo; dinga inceku yakho, ngoba kangikhohlwa imithetho yakho.
