Psalms 115
1 Not to us, O Lord, not to us, but to your name give glory, because of your mercy and your truth;
No a nosotros, oh Señor, no a nosotros, sino a tu nombre démosle gloria, por tu misericordia y tu fe inmutable.
2 lest at any time the nations should say, Where is their God?
¿Por qué dirán las naciones: Dónde está ahora su Dios?
3 But our God has done in heaven and on earth, whatever he has pleased.
Mas nuestro Dios está en el cielo; hizo todo lo que le agradaba.
4 The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the works of men's hands.
Sus imágenes son plata y oro, obra de manos de hombres.
5 They have a mouth, but they can’t speak; they have eyes, but they can’t see:
Tienen bocas, pero no voz; tienen ojos, pero no ven;
6 they have ears, but they can’t hear; they have noses, but they can’t smell;
Tienen oídos, pero no oyen; tienen narices, pero no tienen olfato;
7 they have hands, but they can’t handle; they have feet, but they can’t walk: they can’t speak through their throat.
Tienen manos sin más no palpan. y pies sin poder de caminar; y ningún sonido sale de su garganta.
8 Let those that make them become like to them, and all who trust in them.
Los que los hacen son como ellos; y también lo es cada uno que pone su fe en ellos.
9 The house of Israel trusts in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
Israel, ten fe en el Señor; él es tu ayuda y tu coraza.
10 The house of Aaron trusts in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
Casa de Aarón, ten fe en el Señor; él es tu ayuda y tu escudo.
11 They that fear the Lord trust in the Lord: he is their helper and defender.
Adoradores del Señor, ten fe en el Señor; él es tu ayuda y tu escudo.
12 The Lord has remembered us, and blessed us: he has blessed the house of Israel, he has blessed the house of Aaron.
El Señor nos ha tenido en cuenta y nos dará su bendición; él enviará bendiciones sobre la casa de Israel y sobre la casa de Aarón.
13 He has blessed them that fear the Lord, both small and great.
Él enviará bendiciones sobre los adoradores del Señor, sobre los pequeños y sobre los grandes.
14 The Lord add [blessings] to you and to your children.
Que el Señor les dé a ustedes y a sus hijos un mayor aumento.
15 Blessed are you of the Lord, who made the heaven and the earth.
Que tengas la bendición del Señor, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
16 The heaven of heavens [belongs] to the Lord: but he has given the earth to the sons of men.
Los cielos son del Señor; pero la tierra la ha dado a los hijos de los hombres.
17 The dead shall not praise you, O Lord, nor any that go down to Hades.
Los muertos no alaban al Señor; o aquellos que descienden al inframundo.
18 But we, the living, will bless the Lord, from henceforth and for ever.
Pero alabaremos al Señor ahora y para siempre. Alabado sea el Señor.
