Psalms 114

1 Alleluia. At the going forth of Israel from Egypt, of the house of Jacob from a barbarous people,

En saliendo Israel de Egipto, la casa de Jacob del pueblo bárbaro,

2 Judea became his sanctuary, [and] Israel his dominion.

Judá fue por su santidad: Israel su señorío.

3 The sea saw and fled: Jordan was turned back.

La mar vio, y huyó: el Jordán se volvió atrás.

4 The mountains skipped like rams, and the hills like lambs.

Los montes saltaron como carneros; los collados, como hijos de ovejas.

5 What [ailed] you, O sea, that you fled? and you Jordan, that you were turned back?

¿Qué tuviste mar, que huiste? ¿Jordán qué te volviste atrás?

6 [You] mountains, that you skipped like rams, and [you] hills, like lambs?

¿Los montes saltasteis como carneros, y los collados como hijos de ovejas?

7 The earth trembled at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

A la presencia del Señor tiembla la tierra, a la presencia del Dios de Jacob.

8 who turned the rock into pools of water, and the flint into fountains of water.

El cual tornó la peña en estanque de aguas, y la roca en fuente de aguas.
