Psalms 108
1 Song of a Psalm by David. O God, my heart is ready, my heart is ready; I will sing and sing psalms with my glory.
Cantique et psaume de David. Mon cœur est prêt, ô Dieu, mon cœur est prêt; je vais chanter des psaumes en ma gloire.
2 Awake, lute and harp; I will awake early.
Réveillez-vous, ma harpe et ma cithare; je me lèverai dès l'aurore.
3 I will give thanks to you, O Lord, among the people; I will sing praise to you among the Gentiles.
Seigneur, je te rendrai gloire parmi les peuples; je te chanterai des psaumes parmi les Gentils.
4 For your mercy is great above the heavens, and your truth [reaches] to the clouds.
Car ta miséricorde est plus grande que les cieux; et ta vérité va jusqu'aux nues.
5 Be you exalted, O God, above the heavens; and your glory above all the earth.
Dieu, sois exalté au-dessus des cieux; que ta gloire soit répandue sur toute la terre!
6 That your beloved [ones] may be delivered, save with your right hand, and hear me. God has spoken in his sanctuary;
Afin que tes bien-aimés soient délivrés, sauve-moi par ta droite, et exauce-moi.
7 I will be exalted, and will divide Sicima, and will measure out the valley of tents.
Dieu a parlé dans son sanctuaire; je me réjouirai, et je partagerai Sichem, et je mesurerai le val des Tabernacles.
8 Galaad is mine; and Manasses is mine; and Ephraim is the help of mine head; Judas is my king;
A moi est Galaad, à moi Manassé; Ephraïm est l'appui de ma tête; Juda est mon roi,
9 Moab is the caldron of my hope; over Idumea will I cast my sandal; the Philistines are made subject to me.
Et Moab le vase de mon espérance. Je poserai ma sandale sur l'Idumée, les étrangers me sont soumis.
10 Who will bring me into the fortified city? or who will guide me to Idumea?
Qui me ramènera dans la ville forte? Qui me guidera jusqu'à la terre d'Édom?
11 Will not you, O God, who have rejected us? and will not you, O God, go forth with our hosts?
N'est-ce pas toi, ô Dieu, qui nous avais repoussés; ô Dieu, toi qui ne sortais plus à la tête de nos armées?
12 Give us help from tribulation: for vain is the help of man.
Donne-nous ton secours pour nous tirer de la tribulation; car il est vain, le salut qui vient de l'homme.
13 Through God we shall do valiantly; and he will bring to nothing our enemies.
En Dieu nous mettons notre force, et lui-même réduira à néant nos ennemis.
