< Proverbs 9 >

1 Wisdom has built a house for herself, and set up seven pillars.
Xigmaddu gurigeeday dhisatay, Toddobadeedii tiirna way xaradhay.
2 She has killed her beasts; she has mingled her wine in a bowl, and prepared her table.
Neefafkeedii ayay qashay, oo waxay isku dartay khamrigeedii; Miiskeediina way diyaarisay.
3 She has sent forth her servants, calling with a loud proclamation to the feast, saying,
Oo gabdhaheedii midiidinnada ahaa ayay dirtay, oo waxay ka qaylinaysaa Magaalada meelaha ugu sarreeya, iyadoo leh,
4 Whoso is foolish, let him turn aside to me: and to them that lack understanding she says,
Ku alla kii garaaddaranu, halkan ha u soo leexdo. Oo kii waxgarasho u baahanna waxay ku leedahay,
5 Come, eat of my bread, and drink wine which I have mingled for you.
Kaalaya oo kibistayda wax ka cuna, Oo khamriga aan isku darayna wax ka cabba.
6 Leave folly, that you may reign for ever; and seek wisdom, and improve understanding by knowledge.
Garaadlaawayaashow, nacasnimada iska daaya, oo noolaada, Oo jidka waxgarashadana mara.
7 He that reproves evil [men] shall get dishonor to himself; and he that rebukes an ungodly [man] shall disgrace himself.
Kii mid wax quudhsada toosiyaa, cay buu isu soo jiidaa, Oo kii kan sharka leh canaantana, ceeb baa ku dhacda.
8 Rebuke not evil [men], lest they should hate you: rebuke a wise [man], and he will love you.
Mid wax quudhsada ha canaanan, waaba intaas oo uu ku necbaadaaye, Nin caqli leh canaano, oo isna wuu ku jeclaan doonaa.
9 Give an opportunity to a wise [man], and he will be wiser: instruct a just man, and he will receive more [instruction].
Nin caqli leh wax bar, oo isna caqli wuu sii yeelan doonaa. Nin xaq ah wax bar, oo isna waxbarasho wuu sii korodhsan doonaa.
10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and the counsel of saints is understanding: for to know the law is [the character] of a sound mind.
Rabbiga in laga cabsado waa xigmadda bilowgeeda, Oo Kan quduuska ah in la aqoonsadona waa waxgarasho.
11 For in this way you shall live long, and years of your life shall be added to you.
Waayo, maalmahaagu anigay igu badan doonaan, Oo cimrigaaguna waa sii kordhi doonaa.
12 Son, if you be wise for yourself, you shall also be wise for your neighbors; and if you should prove wicked, you alone will bear the evil. He that stays himself upon falsehoods, attempts to rule the winds, and the same will pursue birds in their fight: for he has forsaken the ways of his own vineyard, and he has caused the axles of his own husbandry to go astray; and he goes through a dry desert, and a [land] appointed to drought, and he gathers barrenness with his hands.
Haddaad caqli leedahay naftaadaad caqli u leedahay, Laakiinse haddaad wax quudhsato, adiga uun baa waxquudhsashadaada xambaaran doona.
13 A foolish and bold woman, who knows not modesty, comes to lack a morsel.
Naagta nacasadda ahu waa qaylo badan tahay, Iyadu way garaaddaran tahay, oo waxba ma taqaan.
14 She sits at the doors of her house, on a seat openly in the streets,
Waayo, waxay fadhiisataa illinka gurigeeda, Oo kursi bay ku fadhiisataa meelaha sarsare ee magaalada,
15 calling to passers by, and to those that are going right on their ways;
Inay u yeedho kuwa jidka maraya, Iyagoo jidadkooda iska sii soconaya,
16 [saying], Whoso is most senseless of you, let him turn aside to me; and I exhort those that lack prudence, saying,
Ku alla kii garaaddaranu halkan ha u soo leexdo, Oo kii waxgarasho u baahanna waxay ku leedahay,
17 Take and enjoy secret bread, and the sweet water of theft.
Biyo la soo xaday way macaan yihiin. Oo cunto qarsoodi loo cunaana wax bay ka farxisaa.
18 But he knows that mighty men die by her, and he falls in with a snare of hell. (Sheol h7585)
Laakiinse isagu garan maayo in kuwii dhintay ay halkaas joogaan, Iyo in martideedii ay She'ool guntiisa ku jiraan. (Sheol h7585)
