Proverbs 8
1 You shall proclaim wisdom, that understanding may be obedient to you.
Не виче ли мудрост? И разум не пушта ли глас свој?
2 For she is on lofty eminences, and stands in the midst of the ways.
Наврх висина, на путу, на распутицама стоји,
3 For she sits by the gates of princes, and sings in the entrances, [saying],
Код врата, на уласку у град, где се отварају врата, виче:
4 You, O men, I exhort; and utter my voice to the sons of men.
Вас вичем, о људи, и глас свој обраћам к синовима људским.
5 O you simple, understand subtlety, and you that are untaught, imbibe knowledge.
Научите се луди мудрости, и безумни оразумите се.
6 Listen to me; for I will speak solemn [truths]; and will produce right [sayings] from my lips.
Слушајте, јер ћу говорити велике ствари, и усне моје отварајући се казиваће шта је право.
7 For my throat shall meditate truth; and false lips are an abomination before me.
Јер уста моја говоре истину, и мрска је уснама мојим безбожност.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing in them wrong or perverse.
Праве су све речи уста мојих, ништа нема у њима криво ни изопачено.
9 They are all evident to those that understand, and right to those that find knowledge.
Све су обичне разумном и праве су онима који налазе знање.
10 Receive instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than tried gold.
Примите наставу моју, а не сребро, и знање радије него најбоље злато.
11 For wisdom is better than precious stones; and no valuable substance is of equal worth with it.
Јер је боља мудрост од драгог камења, и шта је год најмилијих ствари не могу се изједначити с њом.
12 I wisdom have lived [with] counsel and knowledge, and I have called upon understanding.
Ја мудрост боравим с разборитошћу, и разумно знање налазим.
13 The fear of the Lord hates unrighteousness, and insolence, and pride, and the ways of wicked men; and I hate the perverse ways of bad men.
Страх је Господњи мржња на зло; ја мрзим на поноситост и на охолост и на зли пут и на уста опака.
14 Counsel and safety are mine; prudence is mine, and strength is mine.
Мој је савет и шта год јесте; ја сам разум и моја је сила.
15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
Мном цареви царују, и владаоци постављају правду.
16 By me nobles become great, and monarchs by me rule over the earth.
Мном владају кнезови и поглавари и све судије земаљске.
17 I love those that love me; and they that seek me shall find [me].
Ја љубим оне који мене љубе, и који ме добро траже налазе ме.
18 Wealth and glory belong to me; yes, abundant possessions and righteousness.
У мене је богатство и слава, постојано добро и правда.
19 [It is] better to have my fruit than [to have] gold and precious stones; and my produce is better than choice silver.
Плод је мој бољи од злата и од најбољег злата, и добитак је мој бољи и од најбољег сребра.
20 I walk in ways of righteousness, and [am] conversant with the paths of judgment;
Путем праведним ходим, посред стаза правице,
21 that I may divide substance to them that love me, and may fill their treasures with good things. If I declare to you the things that daily happen, I will remember [also] to recount the things of old.
Да онима који ме љубе дам оно што јесте, и ризнице њихове да напуним.
22 The Lord made me the beginning of his ways for his works.
Господ ме је имао у почетку пута свог, пре дела својих, пре сваког времена.
23 He established me before time [was] in the beginning, before he made the earth:
Пре векова постављена сам, пре почетка, пре постања земље.
24 even before he made the depths; before the fountains of water came forth:
Кад још не беше бездана, родила сам се, кад још не беше извора обилатих водом.
25 before the mountains were settled, and before all hills, he begets me.
Пре него се горе основаше, пре хумова ја сам се родила;
26 The Lord made countries and uninhabited [tracks], and the highest inhabited parts of the world.
Још не беше начинио земље ни поља ни почетка праху васиљенском;
27 When he prepared the heaven, I was present with him; and when he prepared his throne upon the winds:
Кад је уређивао небеса, онде бејах; кад је размеравао круг над безданом.
28 and when he strengthened the clouds above; and when he secured the fountains of the earth:
Кад је утврђивао облаке горе и крепио изворе бездану;
29 decree. and when he strengthened the foundations of the earth:
Кад је постављао мору међу и водама да не преступају заповести Његове, кад је постављао темеље земљи;
30 I was by him, suiting [myself to him], I was that wherein he took delight; and daily I rejoiced in his presence continually.
Тада бејах код Њега храњеница, бејах Му милина сваки дан, и весељах се пред Њим свагда;
31 For he rejoiced when he had completed the world, and rejoiced among the children of men.
Весељах се на васиљени Његовој, и милина ми је са синовима људским.
32 Now then, [my] son, hear me: blessed is the man who shall listen to me, and the mortal who shall keep my ways;
Тако, дакле, синови, послушајте ме, јер благо онима који се држе путева мојих.
33 [Hear wisdom and be wise, and be not strangers to it. ]
Слушајте наставу, и будите мудри, и немојте је одбацити.
34 watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my entrances.
Благо човеку који ме слуша стражећи на вратима мојим сваки дан и чувајући прагове врата мојих.
35 For my outgoings are the outgoings of life, and [in them] is prepared favor from the Lord.
Јер ко мене налази, налази живот и добија љубав од Господа.
36 But they that sin against me act wickedly against their own souls: and they that hate me love death.
А ко о мене греши, чини криво души својој; сви који мрзе на ме, љубе смрт.
