Proverbs 8
1 You shall proclaim wisdom, that understanding may be obedient to you.
ജ്ഞാനമായവൾ വിളംബരം നടത്തുന്നില്ലേ? വിവേകമുള്ളവൾ ഉച്ചൈസ്തരം ഘോഷിക്കുന്നില്ലേ?
2 For she is on lofty eminences, and stands in the midst of the ways.
വീഥികളുടെ സംഗമസ്ഥാനത്ത്, പാതയോരത്തെ ഉയർന്നസ്ഥാനത്ത് അവൾ നിലയുറപ്പിക്കുന്നു;
3 For she sits by the gates of princes, and sings in the entrances, [saying],
നഗരകവാടത്തിനരികിൽ, അതിന്റെ പ്രവേശനത്തിനരികെ നിന്നുകൊണ്ട്, അവൾ ഉറക്കെ വിളിച്ചുപറയുന്നു:
4 You, O men, I exhort; and utter my voice to the sons of men.
“അല്ലയോ മനുഷ്യരേ, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളോട് വിളംബരംചെയ്യുന്നു; മനുഷ്യവർഗത്തോടെല്ലാം ഞാൻ എന്റെ സ്വരം ഉയർത്തുന്നു.
5 O you simple, understand subtlety, and you that are untaught, imbibe knowledge.
ലളിതമാനസരേ, കാര്യപ്രാപ്തിയുള്ളവരാകുക; ബുദ്ധിഹീനരായവരേ, വിവേകമുള്ളവരാകുക.
6 Listen to me; for I will speak solemn [truths]; and will produce right [sayings] from my lips.
ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക, എനിക്കു ശ്രേഷ്ഠകരമായ വസ്തുതകൾ പ്രസ്താവിക്കാനുണ്ട്; നീതിയുക്തമായതു സംസാരിക്കാൻ ഞാൻ എന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾ തുറക്കുന്നു.
7 For my throat shall meditate truth; and false lips are an abomination before me.
എന്റെ വായ് സത്യം സംസാരിക്കുന്നു, തിന്മ എന്റെ അധരങ്ങൾക്ക് അറപ്പാണ്.
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing in them wrong or perverse.
എന്റെ വായിലെ വാക്കുകളെല്ലാം നീതിയുള്ളവയാണ്; വക്രതയോ വൈകൃതമോ നിറഞ്ഞ ഒന്നുംതന്നെ അവയിലില്ല.
9 They are all evident to those that understand, and right to those that find knowledge.
വിവേകികൾക്ക് എന്റെ വാക്കുകൾ സുവ്യക്തമാണ്; പരിജ്ഞാനമുള്ളവർക്ക് അവയെല്ലാം വക്രതയില്ലാത്തതായിരിക്കും.
10 Receive instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than tried gold.
എന്റെ ശിക്ഷണം വെള്ളിക്കുപകരമായും പരിജ്ഞാനം മേൽത്തരം തങ്കത്തിലും ശ്രേഷ്ഠമായും സ്വീകരിക്കുക,
11 For wisdom is better than precious stones; and no valuable substance is of equal worth with it.
ജ്ഞാനം മാണിക്യത്തെക്കാൾ അമൂല്യമാണ്; നീ അഭിലഷിക്കുന്നതൊന്നും അതിനു തുല്യമാകുകയില്ല.
12 I wisdom have lived [with] counsel and knowledge, and I have called upon understanding.
“ജ്ഞാനം എന്ന ഞാൻ വിവേകത്തോടൊപ്പം വസിക്കുന്നു; പരിജ്ഞാനവും വിവേചനശക്തിയും എന്റെ അധീനതയിലുണ്ട്.
13 The fear of the Lord hates unrighteousness, and insolence, and pride, and the ways of wicked men; and I hate the perverse ways of bad men.
അധർമത്തെ വെറുക്കുക എന്നതാണ് യഹോവാഭക്തി; അഹന്തയും അഹങ്കാരവും ദുഷ്കൃത്യങ്ങളും വൈകൃതഭാഷണവും ഞാൻ വെറുക്കുന്നു.
14 Counsel and safety are mine; prudence is mine, and strength is mine.
ബുദ്ധിയുപദേശവും ഉത്തമ നീതിനിർവഹണവും എന്റേതാണ്; എനിക്കു വിവേകമുണ്ട്, എനിക്ക് ശക്തിയുമുണ്ട്.
15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice.
ഞാൻ മുഖാന്തരം രാജാക്കന്മാർ വാഴുന്നു അധിപതികൾ നീതിയുക്തമായ ഉത്തരവുകൾ പുറപ്പെടുവിക്കുന്നു;
16 By me nobles become great, and monarchs by me rule over the earth.
ഞാൻ മുഖാന്തരമാണ് പ്രഭുക്കന്മാരും നാടുവാഴികളും ഭരണം നിർവഹിക്കുന്നത്.
17 I love those that love me; and they that seek me shall find [me].
എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവരെ ഞാനും സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു, എന്നെ അന്വേഷിക്കുന്നവർ എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തും, നിശ്ചയം.
18 Wealth and glory belong to me; yes, abundant possessions and righteousness.
എന്റെ അധീനതയിൽ ധനവും ബഹുമാനവും, അനശ്വരസമ്പത്തും അഭിവൃദ്ധിയുമുണ്ട്.
19 [It is] better to have my fruit than [to have] gold and precious stones; and my produce is better than choice silver.
എന്റെ ഫലം തങ്കത്തെക്കാൾ ശ്രേഷ്ഠം; എന്റെ വരുമാനം സംശുദ്ധവെള്ളിയെ പിന്നിലാക്കും.
20 I walk in ways of righteousness, and [am] conversant with the paths of judgment;
ഞാൻ നീതിമാർഗത്തിൽ സഞ്ചരിക്കുന്നു, ന്യായത്തിന്റെ പാതയിൽത്തന്നെ തുടരുന്നു,
21 that I may divide substance to them that love me, and may fill their treasures with good things. If I declare to you the things that daily happen, I will remember [also] to recount the things of old.
അതുകൊണ്ട് എന്നെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നവർക്ക് സമ്പത്ത് അവകാശമായിനൽകുകയും അവരുടെ ഭണ്ഡാരങ്ങളെ നിറയ്ക്കുകയും ചെയ്യും.
22 The Lord made me the beginning of his ways for his works.
“യഹോവ തന്റെ പ്രവൃത്തികളുടെ ആരംഭമായി എന്നെ സൃഷ്ടിച്ചു, തന്റെ പുരാതന പ്രവൃത്തികൾക്കും മുമ്പേതന്നെ;
23 He established me before time [was] in the beginning, before he made the earth:
പണ്ടേക്കുപണ്ടേ ഞാൻ സൃഷ്ടിക്കപ്പെട്ടു, ആരംഭത്തിൽ ഭൗമോൽപ്പത്തിക്കും മുൻപുതന്നെ.
24 even before he made the depths; before the fountains of water came forth:
സമുദ്രങ്ങൾ ഉളവാകുന്നതിനുമുമ്പുതന്നെ എനിക്കു ജന്മം നൽകപ്പെട്ടു, ജലസമൃദ്ധമായ അരുവികൾ ഉണ്ടാകുന്നതിനും മുമ്പേതന്നെ;
25 before the mountains were settled, and before all hills, he begets me.
പർവതങ്ങൾ ഉറപ്പിക്കപ്പെടുന്നതിനുമുമ്പ്, മലകൾക്കും മുമ്പേതന്നെ എനിക്കു ജന്മം നൽകപ്പെട്ടു,
26 The Lord made countries and uninhabited [tracks], and the highest inhabited parts of the world.
അവിടന്ന് ഭൂമണ്ഡലത്തെയോ വയലുകളെയോ ഭൂതലത്തിലെ ഏതെങ്കിലും ധൂളിയെയോ സൃഷ്ടിക്കുന്നതിനു മുമ്പേതന്നെ.
27 When he prepared the heaven, I was present with him; and when he prepared his throne upon the winds:
അവിടന്ന് ആകാശവിതാനത്തെ അതിന്റെ സ്ഥാനത്ത് ഉറപ്പിച്ചപ്പോൾ ഞാനവിടെ ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നു, ആഴിയുടെ പരപ്പിൽ ചക്രവാളം വരച്ചപ്പോഴും,
28 and when he strengthened the clouds above; and when he secured the fountains of the earth:
അവിടന്ന് മേഘങ്ങളെ ഉയരത്തിൽ സ്ഥാപിച്ചപ്പോഴും അഗാധതയുടെ ഉറവുകളെ സുരക്ഷിതമായി ഉറപ്പിച്ചപ്പോഴും,
29 decree. and when he strengthened the foundations of the earth:
ആഴികൾ അവിടത്തെ ആജ്ഞകൾ അതിലംഘിക്കാതിരിക്കാൻ അവിടന്ന് ആഴിക്ക് അതിരിട്ടപ്പോഴും അവിടന്ന് ഭൂമിയുടെ അസ്തിവാരം ഉറപ്പിച്ചപ്പോഴും,
30 I was by him, suiting [myself to him], I was that wherein he took delight; and daily I rejoiced in his presence continually.
ഒരു വിദഗ്ദ്ധശില്പിയായി, അവിടത്തെ സഹചാരിയായി ഞാൻ നിന്നു. പ്രതിദിനം ഞാൻ ആനന്ദഭരിതനായിനിന്നു, അവിടത്തെ സന്നിധാനത്തിൽ ആഹ്ലാദപൂർണനായി കഴിഞ്ഞു,
31 For he rejoiced when he had completed the world, and rejoiced among the children of men.
അവിടന്നു സൃഷ്ടിച്ച ലോകത്തിൽ ഞാൻ എത്ര ഉല്ലാസഭരിതനായിരുന്നു മനുഷ്യകുലത്തോടൊപ്പം ഞാൻ എത്രമാത്രം ആനന്ദിച്ചു.
32 Now then, [my] son, hear me: blessed is the man who shall listen to me, and the mortal who shall keep my ways;
“അതുകൊണ്ട് ഇപ്പോൾ, എന്റെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങളേ, എന്നെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുക; എന്റെ വഴികൾ ആചരിക്കുന്നവർ അനുഗൃഹീതർ.
33 [Hear wisdom and be wise, and be not strangers to it. ]
എന്റെ പ്രബോധനം കേട്ട് വിവേകിയാകുക; അവ അവഗണിക്കരുത്.
34 watching daily at my doors, waiting at the posts of my entrances.
എന്നെ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കുന്നവർ അനുഗൃഹീതർ, അനുദിനം എന്റെ പ്രവേശനകവാടത്തിൽ കാത്തുനിന്നും എന്റെ പടിവാതിലിൽ കാവൽകാത്തുംതന്നെ.
35 For my outgoings are the outgoings of life, and [in them] is prepared favor from the Lord.
എന്നെ കണ്ടെത്തുന്നവർ ജീവൻ കണ്ടെത്തുകയും യഹോവയിൽനിന്ന് പ്രസാദം നേടുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
36 But they that sin against me act wickedly against their own souls: and they that hate me love death.
എന്നിൽനിന്ന് അകന്നുപോകുന്നവർ അവർക്കുതന്നെ ദോഷംവരുത്തുന്നു; എന്നെ വെറുക്കുന്നവരെല്ലാം മരണത്തെ സ്നേഹിക്കുന്നു.”
