Proverbs 7
1 [My] son, keep my words, and hide with you my commandments. [My] son, honor the Lord, and you shall be strong; and fear none but him:
Mein Sohn, bewahre meine Rede und birg meine Gebote in dir!
2 keep my commandments, and you shall live; and [keep] my words as the pupils of [your] eyes.
Beobachte meine Gebote, so wirst du leben, und bewahre meine Lehre wie einen Augapfel!
3 And bind them on your fingers, and write [them] on the table of your heart.
Binde sie an deine Finger, schreibe sie auf die Tafel deines Herzens!
4 Say that wisdom is your sister, and gain prudence as an acquaintance for yourself;
Sprich zur Weisheit: Du bist meine Schwester! und sage zum Verstand: Du bist mein Vertrauter!
5 that she may keep you from the strange and wicked woman, if she should assail you with flattering words.
daß du bewahrt bleibest vor dem fremden Weibe, vor der Buhlerin, die glatte Worte gibt!
6 For she looks from a window out of her house into the streets, at one whom she may see of the senseless ones, a young man void of understanding,
Denn als ich am Fenster meines Hauses durch das Gitter guckte
7 passing by the corner in the passages near her house,
und die Einfältigen beobachtete, bemerkte ich unter den Söhnen einen unverständigen Jüngling.
8 and speaking, in the dark of the evening,
Der strich auf der Gasse herum, nicht weit von ihrem Winkel, und betrat den Weg zu ihrem Haus
9 when there happens [to be] the stillness of night and of darkness:
in der Dämmerung, beim Einbruch der Nacht, da es dunkelte.
10 and the woman meets him having the appearance of a harlot, that causes the hearts of young men to flutter.
Siehe, da lief ihm ein Weib entgegen im Hurenschmuck und verschmitzten Herzens,
11 And she is fickle, and debauched, and her feet abide not at home.
frech und zügellos. Ihre Füße können nicht zu Hause bleiben;
12 For at one time she wanders without, and at [another] time she lies in wait in the streets, at every corner.
bald auf der Straße, bald auf den Plätzen, an allen Ecken lauert sie.
13 Then she caught him, and kissed him, and with an impudent face said to him,
Die ergriff und küßte ihn, und mit unverschämter Miene sprach sie zu ihm:
14 I have a peace-offering; today I pay my vows:
«Ich war ein Dankopfer schuldig, heute habe ich meine Gelübde bezahlt;
15 therefore I came forth to meet you, desiring your face; [and] I have found you.
darum bin ich ausgegangen dir entgegen, um eifrig dein Angesicht zu suchen, und ich fand dich auch!
16 I have spread my bed with sheets, and I have covered it with double tapestry from Egypt.
Ich habe mein Lager mit Teppichen gepolstert, mit bunten Decken von ägyptischem Garn;
17 I have sprinkled my couch with saffron, and my house with cinnamon.
ich habe mein Bett besprengt mit Myrrhe, Aloe und Zimt.
18 Come, and let us enjoy love until the morning; come, and let us embrace in love.
Komm, wir wollen der Liebe genießen bis zum Morgen, uns an Liebkosungen ergötzen!
19 For my husband is not at home, but is gone on a long journey,
Denn der Mann ist nicht zu Hause, er hat eine weite Reise angetreten,
20 having taken in his hand a bundle of money: after many days he will return to his house.
er hat den Geldbeutel mitgenommen und kommt erst am Tage des Vollmonds wieder heim.»
21 So with much converse she prevailed on him to go astray, and with the snares of her lips forced him from [the right path].
Durch ihr eifriges Zureden machte sie ihn geneigt und bewog ihn mit ihren glatten Worten,
22 And he followed her, being gently led on, and [that] as an ox is led to the slaughter, and as a dog to bonds, or as a hart shot in the liver with an arrow:
so daß er ihr plötzlich nachlief, wie ein Ochse zur Schlachtbank geht und wie ein Gefesselter zum Narrenhaus
23 and he hastens as a bird into a snare, not knowing that he is running for [his] life.
(bis ihm der Pfeil die Leber spaltet), wie ein Vogel ins Netz hinein fliegt und nicht weiß, daß es ihn sein Leben kostet!
24 Now then, [my] son, listen to me, and attend to the words of my mouth.
So schenkt mir nun Gehör, ihr Söhne, und merkt auf die Reden meines Mundes!
25 Let not your heart turn aside to her ways:
Dein Herz neige sich nicht ihren Wegen zu, und verirre dich nicht auf ihre Pfade;
26 for she has wounded and cast down many, and those whom she has slain are innumerable.
denn sie hat viele verwundet und zu Fall gebracht, und gewaltig ist die Zahl ihrer Opfer.
