Proverbs 3
1 [My] son, forget not my laws; but let your heart keep my words:
೧ಕಂದಾ, ನನ್ನ ಉಪದೇಶವನ್ನು ಮರೆಯಬೇಡ, ನನ್ನ ಆಜ್ಞೆಗಳನ್ನು ಮನಃಪೂರ್ವಕವಾಗಿ ಕೈಗೊಳ್ಳು.
2 for length of existence, and years of life, and peace, shall they add to you.
೨ಅವು ನಿನ್ನ ದಿನಗಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಿಸಿ, ನಿನ್ನ ಆಯುಷ್ಯವನ್ನು ವೃದ್ಧಿಗೊಳಿಸಿ, ನಿನಗೆ ಸುಕ್ಷೇಮವನ್ನು ಉಂಟುಮಾಡುವವು.
3 Let not mercy and truth forsake you; but bind them about your neck:
೩ಪ್ರೀತಿ, ಸತ್ಯತೆಗಳು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಬಿಡದಿರಲಿ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಕಟ್ಟು, ನಿನ್ನ ಹೃದಯದ ಹಲಗೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಬರೆ.
4 so shall you find favor: and do you provide things honest in the sight of the Lord, and of men.
೪ಇದರಿಂದ ನೀನು ದೇವರ ಮತ್ತು ಮನುಷ್ಯರ ದಯೆಯನ್ನೂ, ಸಮ್ಮತಿಯನ್ನೂ ಪಡೆದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವಿ.
5 Trust in God with all your heart; and be not exalted in your own wisdom.
೫ಸ್ವಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನೇ ಆಧಾರಮಾಡಿಕೊಳ್ಳದೆ ಪೂರ್ಣಮನಸ್ಸಿನಿಂದ ಯೆಹೋವನಲ್ಲಿ ಭರವಸವಿಡು.
6 In all your ways acquaint yourself with her, that she may rightly direct your paths.
೬ನಿನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ನಡವಳಿಕೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಆತನ ಚಿತ್ತಕ್ಕೆ ವಿಧೇಯನಾಗಿರು; ಆತನೇ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳನ್ನು ಸರಾಗಮಾಡುವನು.
7 Be not wise in your own conceit; but fear God, and depart from all evil.
೭ನೀನೇ ಬುದ್ಧಿವಂತನು ಎಂದೆಣಿಸದೆ, ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಭಯಪಟ್ಟು ಕೆಟ್ಟದ್ದನ್ನು ತೊರೆದುಬಿಡು.
8 Then shall there be health to your body, and good keeping to your bones.
೮ಇದರಿಂದ ನಿನ್ನ ದೇಹಕ್ಕೆ ಆರೋಗ್ಯವೂ, ಎಲುಬುಗಳಿಗೆ ಸಾರವೂ ಉಂಟಾಗುವವು.
9 Honor the Lord with your just labors, and give him the first of your fruits of righteousness:
೯ನಿನ್ನ ಆದಾಯದಿಂದಲೂ, ಬೆಳೆಯ ಪ್ರಥಮಫಲದಿಂದಲೂ ಯೆಹೋವನನ್ನು ಸನ್ಮಾನಿಸು.
10 that your storehouses may be completely filled with corn, and that your presses may burst forth with wine.
೧೦ಹೀಗೆ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಕಣಜಗಳು ಸಮೃದ್ಧಿಯಿಂದ ತುಂಬುವವು, ತೊಟ್ಟಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವು ತುಂಬಿ ತುಳುಕುವುದು.
11 [My] son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; nor faint when you are rebuked of him:
೧೧ಮಗನೇ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ಶಿಕ್ಷೆಯನ್ನು ತಾತ್ಸಾರ ಮಾಡಬೇಡ. ಆತನು ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸುವಾಗ ಬೇಸರಗೊಳ್ಳಬೇಡ.
12 for whom the Lord loves, he rebukes, and scourges every son whom he receives.
೧೨ತಂದೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಮುದ್ದುಮಗನನ್ನು ಗದರಿಸುವಂತೆ ಯೆಹೋವನು ತಾನು ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುವವನನ್ನೇ ಗದರಿಸುತ್ತಾನೆ.
13 Blessed is the man who has found wisdom, and the mortal who knows prudence.
೧೩ಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುವವನು ಧನ್ಯನು, ವಿವೇಕವನ್ನು ಸಂಪಾದಿಸುವವನು ಭಾಗ್ಯವಂತನು.
14 For it is better to traffic for her, than for treasures of gold and silver.
೧೪ಅದರ ಲಾಭವು ಬೆಳ್ಳಿಯ ಲಾಭಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ, ಅದರಿಂದಾಗುವ ಆದಾಯವು ಬಂಗಾರಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಅಮೂಲ್ಯವೇ ಸರಿ.
15 And she is more valuable than precious stones: no evil thing shall resist her: she is well known to all that approach her, and no precious thing is equal to her in value.
೧೫ಅದರ ಬೆಲೆಯು ಹವಳಕ್ಕಿಂತಲೂ ಹೆಚ್ಚು, ನಿನ್ನ ಇಷ್ಟವಸ್ತುಗಳೆಲ್ಲವೂ ಅದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮವಲ್ಲ.
16 For length of existence and years of life are in her right hand; and in her left hand are wealth and glory: out of her mouth proceeds righteousness, and she carries law and mercy upon her tongue.
೧೬ಜ್ಞಾನವೆಂಬಾಕೆಯ ಬಲಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ದೀರ್ಘಾಯುಷ್ಯವೂ, ಎಡಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಧನವೂ, ಘನತೆಯೂ ಉಂಟು.
17 Her ways are good ways, and all her paths are peaceful.
೧೭ಆಕೆಯ ದಾರಿಗಳು ಸುಖಕರವಾಗಿವೆ, ಆಕೆಯ ಮಾರ್ಗಗಳೆಲ್ಲಾ ಸಮಾಧಾನವೇ.
18 She is a tree of life to all that lay hold upon her; and she is [a] secure [help] to all that stay themselves on her, as on the Lord.
೧೮ಜ್ಞಾನವು ತನ್ನನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಳ್ಳುವವರಿಗೆ ಜೀವವೃಕ್ಷವಾಗಿದೆ. ಅದನ್ನು ಅವಲಂಬಿಸುವ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಬ್ಬನೂ ಧನ್ಯನು.
19 God by wisdom founded the earth, and by prudence he prepared the heavens.
೧೯ಯೆಹೋವನು ಜ್ಞಾನದ ಮೂಲಕ ಭೂಮಿಯನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಾಪಿಸಿ, ವಿವೇಕದ ಮುಖಾಂತರ ಆಕಾಶಮಂಡಲವನ್ನು ಸ್ಥಿರಪಡಿಸಿದನು.
20 By understanding were the depths broken up, and the clouds dropped water.
೨೦ಭೂಮಿಯ ಕೆಳಗಿನ ಸಾಗರವು ಒಡೆದದ್ದಕ್ಕೂ, ಆಕಾಶವು ಇಬ್ಬನಿಯನ್ನು ಸುರಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಆತನ ತಿಳಿವಳಿಕೆಯೇ ಸಾಧನ.
21 [My] son, let [them] not pass from [you], but keep my counsel and understanding:
೨೧ನನ್ನ ಮಗನೇ, ಸುಜ್ಞಾನವನ್ನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಬುದ್ಧಿಯನ್ನೂ ಭದ್ರವಾಗಿಟ್ಟುಕೋ, ನಿನ್ನ ದೃಷ್ಟಿಯು ಅವುಗಳ ಮೇಲೆ ತಪ್ಪದೇ ಇರಲಿ.
22 that your soul may live, and that there may be grace round your neck; and it shall be health to your flesh, and safety to your bones:
೨೨ಅವು ನಿನಗೆ ಜೀವವೂ, ನಿನ್ನ ಕೊರಳಿಗೆ ಭೂಷಣವೂ ಆಗಿರುವವು.
23 that you may go confidently in peace in all your ways, and that your foot may not stumble.
೨೩ಆಗ ನೀನು ಎಡವದೆ ನಿನ್ನ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲಿ ನಿರ್ಭಯವಾಗಿ ನಡೆಯುವಿ.
24 For if you rest, you shall be undismayed; and if you sleep, you shall slumber sweetly.
೨೪ನೀನು ಮಲಗುವಾಗ ಹೆದರಿಕೆ ಇರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ, ಮಲಗಿದ ಮೇಲೆ ಸುಖವಾಗಿ ನಿದ್ರೆಮಾಡುವಿ.
25 And you shall not be afraid of alarm coming upon you, neither of approaching attacks of ungodly men.
೨೫ಪಕ್ಕನೆ ಬರುವ ಅಪಾಯಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ಅಥವಾ ದುಷ್ಟರಿಗೆ ಸಂಭವಿಸುವ ನಾಶನಕ್ಕಾಗಲಿ ನೀನು ಅಂಜುವುದೇ ಇಲ್ಲ.
26 For the Lord shall be over all your ways, and shall establish your foot that you be not moved.
೨೬ಯೆಹೋವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಭರವಸಕ್ಕೆ ಆಧಾರನಾಗಿದ್ದು, ನಿನ್ನ ಕಾಲು ಮೋಸದ ಬಲೆಗೆ ಸಿಕ್ಕದಂತೆ ನಿನ್ನನ್ನು ಕಾಪಾಡುವನು.
27 Forbear not to do good to the poor, whenever your hand may have [power] to help [him].
೨೭ಉಪಕಾರಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ನಿನ್ನಿಂದ ಸಾಧ್ಯವಾಗುವಾಗ ಹೊಂದತಕ್ಕವರಿಗೆ ಅದನ್ನು ತಪ್ಪಿಸಬೇಡ.
28 Say not, Come back another time, to-morrow I will give; while you are able to do [him] good: for you know not what the next day will bring forth.
೨೮ಕೊಡತಕ್ಕದ್ದು ನಿನ್ನಲ್ಲಿದ್ದರೆ ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೆ, “ಹೋಗಿ ಬಾ, ನಾಳೆ ಕೊಡುತ್ತೇನೆ” ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಡ.
29 Devise not evil against your friend, living near you and trusting in you.
೨೯ನೆರೆಯವನಿಗೆ ಕೇಡನ್ನು ಕಲ್ಪಿಸಬಾರದು, ಅವನು ನಿನ್ನ ಪಕ್ಕದಲ್ಲಿ ನಂಬಿಕೆಯಿಂದ ವಾಸಮಾಡುತ್ತಾನಲ್ಲವೇ?
30 Be not ready to quarrel with a man without a cause, lest he do you some harm.
೩೦ನಿನಗೆ ಅಪಕಾರ ಮಾಡದವನ ಸಂಗಡ ಸುಮ್ಮನೆ ಜಗಳವಾಡಬೇಡ.
31 Procure not the reproaches of bad men, neither do you covet their ways.
೩೧ಬಲಾತ್ಕಾರಿಯನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಹೊಟ್ಟೆಕಿಚ್ಚುಪಡದಿರು, ಅವನ ನಡತೆಯನ್ನು ಎಷ್ಟು ಮಾತ್ರಕ್ಕೂ ಅನುಸರಿಸಬೇಡ.
32 For every transgressor is unclean before the Lord; neither does he sit among the righteous.
೩೨ವಕ್ರಬುದ್ಧಿಯವನು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಅಸಹ್ಯನು, ಯಥಾರ್ಥರಿಗೆ ಆತನ ಸ್ನೇಹವು ದೊರೆಯುವುದು.
33 The curse of God is in the houses of the ungodly; but the habitations of the just are blessed.
೩೩ಯೆಹೋವನು ದುಷ್ಟನ ಮನೆಯನ್ನು ಶಪಿಸುವನು, ನೀತಿವಂತರ ನಿವಾಸವನ್ನೋ ಆಶೀರ್ವದಿಸುವನು.
34 The Lord resists the proud; but he gives grace to the humble.
೩೪ಯಾರು ಧರ್ಮವನ್ನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವರೋ ಅವರನ್ನು ಆತನು ತಿರಸ್ಕರಿಸುವನು. ದೀನರಿಗಾದರೋ ತನ್ನ ಕೃಪೆಯನ್ನು ಅನುಗ್ರಹಿಸುವನು.
35 The wise shall inherit glory; but the ungodly have exalted [their own] dishonor.
೩೫ಜ್ಞಾನವಂತರು ಸನ್ಮಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಬಾಧ್ಯರಾಗುವರು, ಜ್ಞಾನಹೀನರಿಗಾಗುವ ಬಹುಮಾನವು ಅವಮಾನವೇ.
