Numbers 26
1 And it came to pass after the plague, that the Lord spoke to Moses and Eleazar the priest, saying,

2 Take the sum of all the congregation of the children of Israel, from twenty years old and upward, according to the houses of their lineage, every one that goes forth to battle in Israel.
“Bala omuwendo gw’abantu bonna abali mu kibiina ky’abaana ba Isirayiri, ng’obabala mu bika byabwe ne mu mayumba ga bakadde baabwe. Bala abasajja bonna abawezezza emyaka amakumi abiri n’okusingawo abakyasobola okutabaala mu ggye lya Isirayiri.”
3 And Moses and Eleazar the priest spoke in Araboth of Moab at the Jordan by Jericho, saying,
Bwe batyo, nga bali mu nsenyi za Mowaabu, ku ludda lw’omugga Yoludaani okwolekera Yeriko, Musa ne Eriyazaali kabona, ne boogera ne bagamba abantu nti,
4 [This is the numbering] from twenty years old and upward as the Lord commanded Moses. And the sons of Israel that came out of Egypt [are as follows]:
“Mubale abasajja bonna abawezezza emyaka amakumi abiri n’okusingawo, nga Mukama Katonda bwe yalagira Musa.” Bano be baana ba Isirayiri abaava mu nsi y’e Misiri:
5 Ruben [was] the firstborn of Israel: and the sons of Ruben, Enoch, and the family of Enoch; to Phallu belongs the family of the Phalluites.
Ab’omu kika kya Lewubeeni, mutabani wa Isirayiri omubereberye, be bano: abaava mu Kanoki, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakanoki; abaava mu Palu, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abapalu;
6 To Asron, the family of Asroni: to Charmi, the family of Charmi.
abaava mu Kezulooni, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakezulooni; abaava mu Kalumi, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakalumi.
7 These [are] the families of Ruben; and their numbering was forty-three thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
Ezo ze nnyiriri z’ekika kya Lewubeeni. Abo abaabalibwa baawera emitwalo ena mu enkumi ssatu mu lusanvu mu amakumi asatu.
8 And the sons of Phallu [were] Eliab, —
Mutabani wa Palu yali Eriyaabu,
9 and the sons of Eliab, Namuel, and Dathan, and Abiron: these [are] renowned men of the congregation; these are they that rose up against Moses and Aaron in the gathering of Core, in the rebellion against the Lord.

10 And the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up them and Core, when their assembly perished, when the fire devoured the two hundred and fifty, and they were made a sign.
Ensi yayasamya akamwa kaayo n’ebamira, ne bafiira wamu ne Koola; n’abagoberezi ba Koola ebikumi bibiri mu ataano nabo baazikirizibwa mu muliro ogwabasaanyaawo. Ne babeera kabonero ka kulabirako akanaalabulanga abantu.
11 But the sons of Core died not.

12 And the sons of Symeon: —the family of the sons of Symeon: to Namuel, [belonged] the family of the Namuelites; to Jamin the family of the Jaminites; to Jachin the family of the Jachinites.

13 To Zara the family of the Zaraites; to Saul the family of the Saulites.
abaava mu Zeera, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abazeera; abaava mu Sawuli, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abasawuli.
14 These [are] the families of Symeon according to their numbering, two and twenty thousand and two hundred.
Ezo ze nnyiriri z’ekika kya Simyoni. Abaabalibwa baawera abasajja emitwalo ebiri mu enkumi bbiri mu ebikumi bibiri.
15 And the sons of Juda, Er and Aunan; and Er and Aunan died in the land of Chanaan.
Ab’omu kika kya Gaadi ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali, be bano: abaava mu Zefoni, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abazefoni; abaava mu Kagi, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakagi; abaava mu Suni, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abasuni;
16 And these were the sons of Juda, according to their families: to Selom [belonged] the family of the Selonites; to Phares, the family of the Pharesites; to Zara, the family of the Zaraites.

17 And the sons of Phares were, to Asron, the family of the Asronites; to Jamun, the family of the Jamunites.

18 These [are] the families of Juda according to their numbering, seventy-six thousand and five hundred.

19 And the sons of Issachar according to their families: to Thola, the family of the Tholaites; to Phua, the family of the Phuaites.
Eri ne Onani baali batabani ba Yuda, naye ne bafiira mu nsi ya Kanani.
20 To Jasub, the family of the Jasubites; to Samram, the family of the Samramites.
Ab’omu kika kya Yuda ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali, be bano: abaava mu Seera, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abaseera; abaava mu Pereezi, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abapereezi; abaava mu Zeera, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abazeera.
21 These [are] the families of Issachar according to their numbering, sixty-four thousand and four hundred.
Bazzukulu ba Pereezi be bano: abaava mu Kezulooni, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakezulooni abaava mu Kamuli, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakamuli.
22 The sons of Zabulon according to their families: to Sared, the family of the Saredites; to Allon, the family of the Allonites; to Allel, the family of the Allelites.
Ezo ze nnyiriri z’ekika kya Yuda. Abaabalibwa baawera abasajja emitwalo musanvu mu kakaaga mu ebikumi bitaano.
23 These [are] the families of Zabulon according to their numbering, sixty thousand and five hundred.
Ab’omu kika kya Isakaali ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali, be bano: abaava mu Tola, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abatola; abaava mu Puva, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abapuva;
24 The sons of Gad according to their families: to Saphon, the family of the Saphonites; to Angi, the family of the Angites; to Suni, the family of the Sunites;
abaava mu Yasubu, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abayasubu; abaava mu Simuloni, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abasimuloni
25 to Azeni, the family of the Azenites; to Addi, the family of the Addites:

26 to Aroadi, the family of the Aroadites; to Ariel, the family of the Arielites.
Ab’omu kika kya Zebbulooni ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali be bano: abaava mu Seredi, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abaseredi; abaava mu Eroni, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abaeroni; abaava mu Yaleeri, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abayaleeri.
27 These [are] the families of the children of Gad according to their numbering, forty-four thousand and five hundred.
Ezo ze nnyiriri z’ekika kya Zebbulooni. Abaabalibwa baawera abasajja emitwalo mukaaga mu ebikumi bitaano.
28 The sons of Aser according to their families; to Jamin, the family of the Jaminites; to Jesu, the family of the Jesusites; to Baria, the family of the Bariaites.
Ab’omu kika kya Yusufu nga bayita mu bika bya batabani be Manase ne Efulayimu.
29 To Chober, the family of the Choberites; to Melchiel, the family of the Melchielites.
Ab’omu kika kya Manase ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali be bano: abaava mu Makiri, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abamakiri, Makiri ye yali kitaawe wa Gireyaadi. Abaava mu Gireyaadi, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abagireyaadi.
30 And the name of the daughter of Aser, Sara.
Ab’omu kika kya Gireyaadi ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali be bano: abaava mu Yezeeri, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abayezeeri, abaava mu Kereki, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakereki;
31 These [are] the families of Aser according to their numbering, forty-three thousand and four hundred.
abaava mu Asuliyeri, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abasuliyeri, abaava mu Sekemu, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abasekemu:
32 The sons of Joseph according to their families, Manasse and Ephraim.
abaava mu Semida, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abasemida; abaava mu Keferi, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakeferi.
33 The sons of Manasse. To Machir the family of the Machirites; and Machir begot Galaad: to Galaad, the family of the Galaadites.
Zerofekadi teyazaala baana balenzi, yalina bawala bokka, amannya gaabwe ge gano: Maala, ne Noowa ne Kogula ne Mirika ne Tiruza.
34 And these [are] the sons of Galaad; to Achiezer, the family of the Achiezerites; to Cheleg, the family of the Chelegites.
Ezo ze nnyiriri z’ekika kya Manase; abaabalibwa baawera abasajja emitwalo etaano mu enkumi bbiri mu lusanvu.
35 To Esriel, the family of the Esrielites; to Sychem, the family of the Sychemites.
Ab’omu kika kya Efulayimu ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali, be bano: abaava mu Susera, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abasusera; abaava mu Bekeri, lwe lunyiriri lw’Ababekeri; abaava mu Takani, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abatakani.
36 To Symaer, the family of the Symaerites; and to Opher, the family of the Opherites.
Bano be bazzukulu ba Susera: abaava mu Erani, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abaerani.
37 And to Salpaad the son of Opher there were no sons, but daughters: and these [were] the names of the daughters of Salpaad; Mala, and Nua, and Egla, and Melcha, and Thersa.
Ezo ze nnyiriri z’ekika kya Efulayimu; n’abaabalibwa baawera abasajja emitwalo esatu mu enkumi bbiri mu ebikumi bitaano. Abo bonna baava mu Yusufu ng’ebika byabwe bwe byali n’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali.
38 These [are] the families of Manasse according to their numbering, fifty-two thousand and seven hundred.
Ab’omu kika kya Benyamini ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali, be bano: abaava mu Bera, lwe lunyiriri lw’Ababera; abaava mu Asuberi, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abasuberi abaava mu Akiramu, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakiramu
39 And these [are] the children of Ephraim; to Suthala, the family of the Suthalanites; to Tanach, the family of the Tanachites.
abaava mu Sufamu, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abasufamu; abaava mu Kufamu, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakufamu.
40 These [are] the sons of Suthala; to Eden, the family of the Edenites.
Abazzukulu ba Bera nga bava mu Aluda ne Naamani ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali be bano: abaava mu Aluda, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abaluda; abaava mu Naamani, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abanaamani.
41 These [are] the families of Ephraim according to their numbering, thirty-two thousand and five hundred: these [are] the families of the children of Joseph according to their families.

42 The sons of Benjamin according to their families; to Bale, the family of the Balites; to Asyber, the family of the Asyberites; to Jachiran, the family of the Jachiranites.
Ab’omu kika kya Ddaani ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali be bano: abaava mu Sukamu, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abasukamu. Abo be baava mu Ddaani.
43 To Sophan, the family of the Sophanites.
Zonna zaali nnyiriri za Basukamu. Abaabalibwa baawera abasajja emitwalo mukaaga mu enkumi nnya mu ebikumi bina.
44 And the sons of Bale were Adar and Noeman; to Adar, the family of the Adarites; and to Noeman, the family of the Noemanites.
Ab’omu kika kya Aseri ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali be bano: abaava mu Imuna, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abayimuna; abaava mu Isuvi, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abayisuvi; abaava mu Beriya, lwe lunyiriri lw’Ababeriya.
45 These [are] the sons of Benjamin by their families according to their numbering, thirty-five thousand and five hundred.
Ate okuva mu bazzukulu ba Beriya, ze zino: abaava mu Keberi, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakeberi; abaava mu Malukiyeeri, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abamalukiyeeri.
46 And the sons of Dan according to their families; to Same, the family of the Sameites; these [are] the families of Dan according to their families.
Aseri yalina omwana omuwala erinnya lye nga ye Seera.
47 All the families of Samei according to their numbering, sixty-four thousand and four hundred.

48 The sons of Nephthali according to their families; to Asiel, the family of the Asielites; to Gauni, the family of the Gaunites.
Ab’omu kika kya Nafutaali ng’ennyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali be bano: abaava mu Yazeeri, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abayazeeri, abaava mu Guni, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abaguni
49 To Jeser, the family of the Jeserites; to Sellem, the family of the Sellemites.
abaava mu Yezeri, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abayezeeri; abaava mu Siremu, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abasiremu.
50 These [are] the families of Nephthali, according to their numbering, forty thousand and three hundred.

51 This [is] the numbering of the children of Israel, six hundred and one thousand and seven hundred and thirty.
Okugatta awamu omuwendo gwonna ogw’abaana ba Isirayiri abasajja abaabalibwa baawera emitwalo nkaaga mu lukumi mu lusanvu mu amakumi asatu.
52 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Awo Mukama Katonda n’agamba Musa nti,
53 To these the land shall be divided, so that they may inherit according to the number of the names.
“Ensi ejja kubagabanyizibwamu okubeera obutaka bwabwe ng’obungi bw’amannya gaabwe bwe buli.
54 To the greater number you shall give the greater inheritance, and to the less number you shall give the less inheritance: to each one, as they have been numbered, shall their inheritance be given.
Ekibiina ekinene kinaafuna wanene, n’ekibiina ekitono kinaafuna watono. Buli kibiina kinaafuna obunene nga obungi bw’amannya agali ku lukalala bwe genkana obungi.
55 The land shall be divided to the names by lot, they shall inherit according to the tribes of their families.
Weegendereze okukakasa ng’ensi egabanyizibbwa mu bwenkanya. Ekika, ekitundu kye kinaafuna kineesigama ku bungi bw’amannya ga bajjajja b’ekika ekyo.
56 You shall divide their inheritance by lot between the many and the few.

57 And the sons of Levi according to their families; to Gedson, the family of the Gedsonites; to Caath, the family of the Caathites; to Merari, the family of the Merarites.
Bano be Baleevi abaabalibwa ng’enyiriri zaabwe bwe zaali: abaava mu Gerusoni, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abagerusoni; abaava mu Kokasi, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abakokasi; abaava mu Merali, lwe lunyiriri lw’Abamerali.
58 These [are] the families of the sons of Levi; the family of the Lobenites, the family of the Chebronites, the family of the Coreites, and the family of the Musites; and Caath begot Amram.
Ne zino nazo nnyiriri za Baleevi: olunyiriri lw’Ababalibuni, olunyiriri lw’Abakebbulooni, olunyiriri lw’Abamakuli, olunyiriri lw’Abamusi, n’olunyiriri lw’Abakoola. Kokasi yazaala Amulaamu.
59 And the name of his wife [was] Jochabed, daughter of Levi, who bore these to Levi in Egypt, and she bore to Amram, Aaron and Moses, and Mariam their sister.

60 And to Aaron were born both Nadab and Abiud, and Eleazar, and Ithamar.
Alooni ye yali kitaawe wa bano: Nadabu, ne Abiku, ne Eriyazaali ne Isamaali.
61 And Nadab and Abiud died when they offered strange fire before the Lord in the wilderness of Sina.
Kyokka Nadabu ne Abiku ne bafa bwe baakuma omuliro ogutali mutukuvu mu maaso ga Mukama.
62 And there were according to their numbering, twenty-three thousand, every male from a month old and upward; for they were not numbered among the children of Israel, because they have no inheritance in the midst of the children of Israel.

63 And this [is] the numbering of Moses and Eleazar the priest, who numbered the children of Israel in Araboth of Moab, at Jordan by Jericho.
Abo be baabalibwa Musa ne Eriyazaali kabona lwe baabala abaana ba Isirayiri mu nsenyi za Mowaabu ku mugga Yoludaani okwolekera Yeriko.
64 And among these there was not a man numbered by Moses and Aaron, whom, [even] the children of Israel, they numbered in the wilderness of Sinai.
Naye mu bano abaabalibwa temwalimu musajja n’omu ku abo abaali babaliddwa Musa ne Alooni kabona bwe baabala abaana ba Isirayiri mu Ddungu lya Sinaayi.
65 For the Lord said to them, They shall surely die in the wilderness; and there was not left even one of them, except Chaleb the son of Jephonne, and Joshua the [son] of Naue.
Kubanga Mukama Katonda yali agambye abaana ba Isirayiri abo nti awatali kubuusabuusa bonna bagenda kufiira mu ddungu. Era tewali n’omu eyasigalawo nga mulamu okuggyako Kalebu mutabani wa Yefune, ne Yoswa mutabani wa Nuuni.
