Numbers 12

1 And Mariam and Aaron spoke against Moses, because of the Ethiopian woman whom Moses took; for he had taken an Ethiopian woman.

Miryam serta Harun mengatai Musa berkenaan dengan perempuan Kush yang diambilnya, sebab memang ia telah mengambil seorang perempuan Kush.

2 And they said, Has the Lord spoken to Moses only? has he not also spoken to us? and the Lord heard it.

Kata mereka: "Sungguhkah TUHAN berfirman dengan perantaraan Musa saja? Bukankah dengan perantaraan kita juga Ia berfirman?" Dan kedengaranlah hal itu kepada TUHAN.

3 And the man Moses was very meek beyond all the men that were upon the earth.

Adapun Musa ialah seorang yang sangat lembut hatinya, lebih dari setiap manusia yang di atas muka bumi.

4 And the Lord said immediately to Moses and Aaron and Mariam, Come forth all three of you to the tabernacle of witness.

Lalu berfirmanlah TUHAN dengan tiba-tiba kepada Musa, Harun dan Miryam: "Keluarlah kamu bertiga ke Kemah Pertemuan." Maka keluarlah mereka bertiga.

5 And the three came forth to the tabernacle of witness; and the Lord descended in a pillar of a cloud, and stood at the door of the tabernacle of witness; and Aaron and Mariam were called; and both came forth.

Lalu turunlah TUHAN dalam tiang awan, dan berdiri di pintu kemah itu, lalu memanggil Harun dan Miryam; maka tampillah mereka keduanya.

6 And he said to them, Hear my words: If there should be of you a prophet to the Lord, I will be made known to him in a vision, and in sleep will I speak to him.

Lalu berfirmanlah Ia: "Dengarlah firman-Ku ini. Jika di antara kamu ada seorang nabi, maka Aku, TUHAN menyatakan diri-Ku kepadanya dalam penglihatan, Aku berbicara dengan dia dalam mimpi.

7 My servant Moses [is] not so; he is faithful in all my house.

Bukan demikian hamba-Ku Musa, seorang yang setia dalam segenap rumah-Ku.

8 I will speak to him mouth to mouth apparently, and not in dark speeches; and he has seen the glory of the Lord; and why were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?

Berhadap-hadapan Aku berbicara dengan dia, terus terang, bukan dengan teka-teki, dan ia memandang rupa TUHAN. Mengapakah kamu tidak takut mengatai hamba-Ku Musa?"

9 And the great anger of the Lord [was] upon them, and he departed.

Sebab itu bangkitlah murka TUHAN terhadap mereka, lalu pergilah Ia.

10 And the cloud departed from the tabernacle; and, behold, Mariam was leprous, [white] as snow; and Aaron looked upon Mariam, and, behold, she [was] leprous.

Dan ketika awan telah naik dari atas kemah, maka tampaklah Miryam kena kusta, putih seperti salju; ketika Harun berpaling kepada Miryam, maka dilihatnya, bahwa dia kena kusta!

11 And Aaron said to Moses, I beseech you, my lord, do not lay sin upon us, for we were ignorant wherein we sinned.

Lalu kata Harun kepada Musa: "Ah tuanku, janganlah kiranya timpakan kepada kami dosa ini, yang kami perbuat dalam kebodohan kami.

12 Let her not be as it were like death, as an abortion coming out of his mother's womb, when [the disease] devours the half of the flesh.

Janganlah kiranya dibiarkan dia sebagai anak gugur, yang pada waktu keluar dari kandungan ibunya sudah setengah busuk dagingnya."

13 And Moses cried to the Lord, saying, O God, I beseech you, heal her.

Lalu berserulah Musa kepada TUHAN: "Ya Allah, sembuhkanlah kiranya dia."

14 And the Lord said to Moses, If her father had only spit in her face, would she not be ashamed seven days? let her be set apart seven days without the camp, and afterwards she shall come in.

Kemudian berfirmanlah TUHAN kepada Musa: "Sekiranya ayahnya meludahi mukanya, tidakkah ia mendapat malu selama tujuh hari? Biarlah dia selama tujuh hari dikucilkan ke luar tempat perkemahan, kemudian bolehlah ia diterima kembali."

15 And Mariam was separated without the camp seven days; and the people moved not forward till Mariam was cleansed.

Jadi dikucilkanlah Miryam ke luar tempat perkemahan tujuh hari lamanya, dan bangsa itu tidak berangkat sebelum Miryam diterima kembali.

16 And afterwards the people set forth from Aseroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Pharan.

Kemudian berangkatlah mereka dari Hazerot dan berkemah di padang gurun Paran.
