Malachias 4
1 For, behold, a day comes burning as an oven, and it shall consume them; and all the aliens, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that is coming shall set them on fire, says the Lord Almighty, and there shall not be left of them root or branch.
Bo oto, przychodzi dzień pałający jako piec, w który wszyscy pyszni, i wszyscy czyniący niezbożność będą jako ciernisko, a popali je ten dzień przyszły, mówi Pan zastępów, tak, że im nie zostawi ani korzenia ani gałązki.
2 But to you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise, and healing [shall be] in his wings: and you shall go forth, and bound as young calves let loose from bonds.
Ale wam, którzy się boicie imienia mego, wznijdzie słońce sprawiedliwości, a zdrowie będzie na skrzydłach jego; tedy wychodzić będziecie, i porościecie jako cielęta karmne.
3 And you shall trample the wicked; for they shall be ashes underneath your feet in the day which I appoint, says the Lord Almighty.
A podepczecie niezbożne, tak, że będą jako proch pod nogami waszemi w dzień, który Ja uczynię, mówi Pan zastępów.
4 And, behold, I will send to you Elias the Thesbite, before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes;
Pamiętajcież na zakon Mojżesza, sługi mego, któremum rozkazał na Horebie, przedłożyć wszystkiemu Izraelowi ustawy i sądy.
5 who shall turn again the heart of the father to the son, and the heart of a man to his neighbor, lest I come and strike the earth grievously.
Oto, Ja wam poślę Elijasza proroka, pierwej niż przyjdzie on wielki i straszny dzień Pański,
6 Remember the law of my servant Moses, accordingly as I charged him [with it] in Choreb for all Israel, [even] the commandments and ordinances.
Aby obrócił serca ojców ku synom, a serca synów ku ojcom ich, abym przyszedłszy ziemi przeklęstwem nie skarał.
