Malachias 4
1 For, behold, a day comes burning as an oven, and it shall consume them; and all the aliens, and all that do wickedly, shall be stubble: and the day that is coming shall set them on fire, says the Lord Almighty, and there shall not be left of them root or branch.
Car voici, le jour vient, brûlant comme la fournaise; alors tous les orgueilleux et tous ceux qui pratiquent l'impiété, seront un chaume, et le jour qui arrive les embrasera, dit l'Éternel des armées, qui ne leur laissera ni racine, ni rameau.
2 But to you that fear my name shall the Sun of righteousness arise, and healing [shall be] in his wings: and you shall go forth, and bound as young calves let loose from bonds.
Et pour vous qui craignez mon nom se lèvera le soleil de la justice qui a la guérison sous ses ailes; et vous sortirez libres et bondirez comme les veaux tenus à l'étable.
3 And you shall trample the wicked; for they shall be ashes underneath your feet in the day which I appoint, says the Lord Almighty.
Et vous foulerez les impies, car ils seront une cendre sous la plante de vos pieds, au jour que je prépare, dit l'Éternel des armées.
4 And, behold, I will send to you Elias the Thesbite, before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes;
Souvenez-vous de la loi de Moïse, mon serviteur, que je lui prescrivis en Horeb pour tout Israël, des ordonnances et des statuts.
5 who shall turn again the heart of the father to the son, and the heart of a man to his neighbor, lest I come and strike the earth grievously.
Voici, je vous enverrai Élie, le prophète, avant que vienne le jour de l'Éternel, jour grand et redoutable.
6 Remember the law of my servant Moses, accordingly as I charged him [with it] in Choreb for all Israel, [even] the commandments and ordinances.
Et il ramènera le cœur des pères vers les enfants, et le cœur des enfants vers leurs pères, afin que je ne vienne pas, et ne frappe pas le pays d'interdit.
