Leviticus 24
1 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
யெகோவா மோசேயிடம்,
2 Charge the children of Israel, and let them take for you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to burn a lamp continually,
“விளக்குகள் தொடர்ந்து எரிந்து ஒளி கொடுக்கும்படியாக, ஒலிவ விதைகளை இடித்துப் பிழிந்தெடுத்த தெளிந்த எண்ணெயைக் கொண்டுவரும்படி இஸ்ரயேலருக்குக் கட்டளையிடு.
3 outside the veil in the tabernacle of witness; and Aaron and his sons shall burn it from evening until morning before the Lord continually, a perpetual statute throughout your generations.
சபைக் கூடாரத்திலே, சாட்சிப்பெட்டியின் திரைக்கு வெளியே, இந்த விளக்குகளை ஆரோன் யெகோவா முன்னிலையில் மாலைவேளை தொடங்கி விடியும்வரை தொடர்ந்து எரியும்படிச் செய்யவேண்டும். இது தலைமுறைதோறும் ஒரு நிரந்தர நியமமாக இருக்கவேண்டும்.
4 You shall burn the lamps on the pure lamp-stand before the Lord till the morrow.
சுத்தத் தங்கத்தினாலான குத்துவிளக்கின் மேலுள்ள விளக்குகள் யெகோவா முன்னிலையில் தொடர்ந்து எரியும்படி அவன் பார்த்துக்கொள்ளவேண்டும்.
5 And you shall take fine flour, and make of it twelve loaves; each loaf shall be of two tenth parts.
“சிறந்த மாவை எடுத்து, ஒவ்வொரு அப்பத்திற்கும் பத்தில் இரண்டு எப்பா அளவு மாவைப் பயன்படுத்தி, பன்னிரண்டு அப்பங்களைச் சுடவேண்டும்.
6 And you shall put them [in] two rows, each row [containing] six loaves, on the pure table before the Lord.
ஒவ்வொரு வரிசையிலும் ஆறு அப்பங்களாக, யெகோவா முன்னிலையில் காணப்படும் சுத்தத் தங்கத்தினாலான மேஜையின்மேல் இரண்டு வரிசைகளில் அவற்றை வைக்கவேண்டும்.
7 And you shall put on [each] row pure frankincense and salt; and [these things] shall be for loaves for a memorial, set forth before the Lord.
ஒவ்வொரு வரிசையிலும் அப்பத்திற்கான ஞாபகார்த்தப் பங்காகவும், நெருப்பினால் யெகோவாவுக்குச் செலுத்தப்படும் ஒரு காணிக்கையாகவும் இருக்கும்படி, கொஞ்சம் சுத்தமான நறுமணத்தூளையும் போடவேண்டும்.
8 On the sabbath-day they shall be set forth before the Lord continually before the children of Israel, for an everlasting covenant.
ஒவ்வொரு ஓய்வுநாளிலும் இஸ்ரயேலர் சார்பான, நிரந்தர உடன்படிக்கையாக இந்த அப்பம் யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக நித்தமும் வைக்கப்பட வேண்டும்.
9 And they shall be for Aaron and his sons, and they shall eat them in the holy place: for this is their most holy portion of the offerings made to the Lord, a perpetual statute.
இது ஆரோனுக்கும் அவன் மகன்களுக்கும் உரியது. அவர்கள் இதை ஒரு பரிசுத்த இடத்தில் சாப்பிடவேண்டும். ஏனெனில், இது யெகோவாவுக்கு நெருப்பினால் செலுத்தப்படும் காணிக்கைகளில் அவர்களுடைய நிரந்தரமான உரிமையில் மகா பரிசுத்தமான பங்கு.”
10 And there went forth a son of an Israelitish woman, and he was son of an Egyptian man among the sons of Israel; and they fought in the camp, the son of the Israelitish woman, and a man who was an Israelite.
ஒரு எகிப்திய மனிதனுக்கும், இஸ்ரயேல் பெண்ணுக்கும் மகனான ஒரு மனிதன் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுக்குள் போனான். அவனுக்கும் ஒரு இஸ்ரயேலனுக்கும் இடையில் முகாமுக்குள் சண்டை மூண்டது.
11 And the son of the Israelitish woman named THE NAME and curse; and they brought him to Moses: and his mother's name was Salomith, daughter of Dabri of the tribe of Dan.
அந்த நேரத்தில் இஸ்ரயேல் பெண்ணின் மகனான அவன், யெகோவாவின் பெயரை தூஷண வார்த்தைகளால் நிந்தித்தான். எனவே அவர்கள் அவனை மோசேயிடம் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். அவனுடைய தாய் தாண் கோத்திரத்து திப்ரியின் மகளான செலோமித்.
12 And they put him in ward, to judge him by the command of the Lord.
அவனைப்பற்றி யெகோவாவின் விருப்பம் தெளிவாகும் வரை, அவனை அவர்கள் காவலில் வைத்தார்கள்.
13 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
அப்பொழுது யெகோவா மோசேயுடன் பேசிச் சொன்னதாவது:
14 Bring forth him that cursed outside the camp, and all who heard shall lay their hands upon his head, and all the congregation shall stone him.
“நீ நிந்தித்தவனை முகாமுக்கு வெளியே கொண்டுபோக வேண்டும். அவன் நிந்தித்ததைக் கேட்டவர்கள் எல்லோரும் தங்கள் கைகளை அவன் தலையில் வைக்கவேண்டும். பின்பு சபையார் அனைவரும் அவனைக் கல்லெறிந்து கொல்லவேண்டும்.
15 And speak to the sons of Israel, and you shall say to them, Whosoever shall curse God shall bear his sin.
நீ இஸ்ரயேலரிடம் சொல்லவேண்டியதாவது: யாராவது தன் இறைவனை நிந்தித்தால், அக்குற்றத்திற்கு அவன் பொறுப்பாளியாவான்.
16 And he that names the name of the Lord, let him die the death: let all the congregation of Israel stone him with stones; whether he be a stranger or a native, let him die for naming the name of the Lord.
யெகோவாவின் பெயரை நிந்திக்கிற எவனும் கொல்லப்படவேண்டும். சபையார் அனைவரும் அவனைக் கல்லெறிந்து கொல்லவேண்டும். அவன் பிறநாட்டினனோ, தன் நாட்டினனோ யெகோவாவின் பெயரை நிந்தித்தால் அவன் கொல்லப்படவேண்டும்” என்றார்.
17 And whoever shall strike a man and he die, let him die the death.
“‘யாராவது ஒருவன் ஒரு மனித உயிரைக் கொலை செய்தால், அவன் கொல்லப்படவேண்டும்.
18 And whoever shall strike a beast, and it shall die, let him render life for life.
யாராவது ஒருவன் இன்னொருவனுடைய மிருகத்தைக் கொன்றால், அவன் உயிருக்குப்பதில், உயிராகப் பதிலீடு செய்யவேண்டும்.
19 And whoever shall inflict a blemish on his neighbor, as he has done to him, so shall it be done to himself in return;
யாராவது ஒருவன் தன் அயலானை காயப்படுத்தினால், அவன் செய்தபடியே, அவனுக்கும் திருப்பிச் செய்யப்படவேண்டும்.
20 bruise for bruise, eye for eye, tooth for tooth: as any one may inflict a blemish on a man, so shall it be rendered to him.
முறிவுக்கு முறிவு, கண்ணுக்குக் கண், பல்லுக்குப் பல் பதிலீடு செய்யப்படவேண்டும். மற்றவனைக் காயப்படுத்தியது போலவே இவனும் அவ்விதமாய் காயப்படுத்தப்பட வேண்டும்.
21 Whosoever shall strike a man, and he shall die, let him die the death.
மிருகத்தைக் கொல்லுகிற எவனும் அதற்காகப் பதிலீடு செய்யவேண்டும். ஆனால் மனிதனைக் கொல்லுகிறவனோ கொல்லப்படவேண்டும்.
22 There shall be one judgment for the stranger and the native, for I [am] the Lord your God.
உங்களிடம் தன் நாட்டினனுக்கும், பிறநாட்டினனுக்கும் ஒரேவிதமான சட்டம் இருக்கவேண்டும். உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவா நானே’” என்றார்.
23 And Moses spoke to the children of Israel, and they brought him that had cursed out of the camp, and stoned him with stones: and the children of Israel did as the Lord commanded Moses.
மோசே இஸ்ரயேலருடன் பேசினான். அவர்கள் இறைவனை நிந்தனை செய்தவனை முகாமுக்கு வெளியே கொண்டுபோய் கல்லெறிந்து கொன்றார்கள். இவ்விதமாய் மோசேக்கு யெகோவா கட்டளையிட்டபடியே இஸ்ரயேலர் செய்தார்கள்.
